Fake usage charges + random deposit

Smartcollection charges for AC usage that NEVER happened.

We live in HThree by Aurora (JVC) and did not use AC at all. Still got usage bills.

Their own engineer confirmed a defect. Before repair → usage showed high numbers. After repair → usage showed ZERO. Yet they keep sending payment reminders for their wrong invoices.

No replies to complaints. No corrections. Just payment reminders.

Then suddenly a AED 2,000 “deposit” appears out of nowhere — which we did NOT pay.

I think everyone experiencing issues with them should write a complaint to DED.

Looking at other reviews, this seems to be standard practice.

Avoid.

Smartcollection -> DummCollection

The name is Smartcollection, but this is one of the dumbest payment services I came across. I got a link to click to make a payment. I click on it. I can see my payment, but I still need to re-enter all the details every time. I need to spend like 5 minutes just to make a payment.

Terrible service

Terrible service. If you miss the payment of their bill with due date 1 week after issuance - they send immediately another with the penalty fee. But to get the deposit amount back from them - impossible task. The excuse - they are very busy to recall or to release money, the agent responded exactly like this via call. There are 2 months that I try to get my money back. Finally, I raised the complaint through the TAMM. Hopefully this will help. They don't merit even 1 star.
There is no way to find their office via address indicate on site, seems it is just the combination of words. They don't appear via Google maps, no possibility to leave the feedback.

Cheating with customers

I was thinking that my case is exception, but i see from these comments that not only me frustrating from Smartcollection(dot)co....

I moved out from Lamar Residence C-205 in October and on 30th October send formal request to send 2000 AED deposit back. But they told that will be processed 60 days?!... i got already deposits from TAQA and FM team, but this company keeping my money without any justified reason. Now more than 60 days passed and this company not responding...

Very bad experience i had dealing with this company, no any customer respect and protection...

I don't know where to raise complaint to this company, if you know please let me know which authority in Abu Dhabi can support with this.

Scam company

I am writing to express my deep frustration regarding the refund for my Sobha Waves flat 3408. Since July 25th, I have sent numerous emails and made countless phone calls about this matter, yet I have still not received the refund.
During my last conversation with your team, which was a month ago, I was assured that the payment would be processed between the 15th and 25th of September. Unfortunately, despite this commitment, I have yet to receive any payment.
I cleared my balance in full back in July, so it is unacceptable that my money has been withheld for over two months without any clear explanation or resolution.
Please consider this my final warning: if I do not receive the refund by the end of today, I will be forced to escalate this matter by filing a formal complaint with the police and taking legal action against your company.
I urge you to resolve this issue immediately to avoid further complications!

Looks like a good Scam

Most definitely looks like a scam …. They charge insane amounts of fees on a monthly basi even when you do not consume any AC .. they call this “capacity charges” it does not make any sense whatsoever… you have zero ability to know your consumption except for the number they pull from their hats … how to know if your consumption is really the one they claim !!!?? Zero transparency … 100% positive that they pretty much do it in purpose and it really seems to be illegal from what I have read.

Smartcollection just cheated me & not…

Smartcollection just cheated me & not listening to my guinine request for the bills that they charged me which was not consumed by me & was in discussion with them still every week they kept on adding late payment charges which was illogical.

Shobha Hartland

Shobha Hartland. Waves Grande building.
Owner told us at signing of the lease that the apartment was chiller free. The landlord then signed me up for Smartcollection which handles the chilled water.

I was never informed. They then demanded a whopping 3000+ AED for a deposit. As the AC was stopped we had no choice but to pay the deposit.

Its took 4 days for the AC to be turned back on from payment. With a new born baby.

Now when we move out smart collections says it takes 60 days to refund the deposit.

This is disgusting.

Shobha and smartcollections should be ashamed of themselves.

A Forced service without consultation

This company was forced upon us at the waves building, we didn't ask for the service it was put in place without consulting the owners. It's poorly run, reactive rather than proactive, no people skills by them and a poor turnaround in communication when owners are faced with issues which are many.

Incompetent company that shouldn’t be…

Incompetent company that shouldn’t be in business. Doesn’t do anything of substance to charge fees for AC, can’t bill properly, can’t provide credit card payment mechanism, can’t tell whether you’ve paid them or not. Conclusion: rubbish all round.

worst company in Dubai that manages chiller payment.

The website is not fully working, if you press on contact, the page will re-load again and doesn't show the contact details.
They have removed the credit card payment option, from January 2025, without giving any reason.
