I purchased a Samsung Chrome Notebook via Wowcher, having used Wowcher successfully on other purchases. After chasing continually it finally arrived but when I attempted to use it, discovered it was "locked". Got my IT consultant to have a look at it. He says it is not possible to unlock as the serial number has been locked by the previous owner. He said it was possibly stolen or not returned to a college/school. The item is worthless and I am battling to get a refund. Smart IT Technologies even asked me to send them a photo of the screen message and then did not reply. Today I have received an email telling me to send it back with the returns form. There was no returns form included in the package. I have retained the original packaging together with their Warranty Terms & Conditions. This tells me that I can purchase a prepaid postage label from them for £15 to return it to them. Another scam? Like other people posting on this site about Smart IT Technologies, this was purchased as a Christmas present and as a pensioner I cannot afford to let this go. I am disappointed that Wowcher have not done more. As of today, this "deal" is still being offered on the Wowcher website and states that 1423 have been bought and 14 others have bought this deal in the last 24 hours. Why are Wowcher still offering this deal?

Avoid this company bought a MacBook for my daughter for Christmas was told I would have it Dec 3rd , they gave me a fake parcel force number , they then told me I would have it last week , I bought through pigsback and I can’t affiord to lose this money now looks like my daughter won’t have a Christmas present as I have no more money to buy her anything

bought a MacBook from this company (via Wowcher) on 26th November. It was due to arrive by 3rd December. I emailed them on 7th asking where it is. they emailed me back saying simply "Be delivered on Tuesday (100%). Nothing. Then another email saying. we are currently processing your order it will be there by Friday 14th latest. Nothing. Yet they had issued a dispatched notice on my Wowcher account. I am currently trying to get my money back through Paypal.

Bought a laptop, more specifically a Samsung. However I got a samsing with a broken screen and a decal on it to hide damage. Wasn't even a good fake. It wasn't even delivered quickly and took 2 weeks. I have reported them to trading standards. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Buyer beware!! This company is untrustworthy and you will be left high and dry! I ordered an iPad on November 16th and still haven’t received it. I was initially told there had a been a delay in processing the orders and that my item would be dispatched ASAP. Then I received a message to say my item had been sent and I was given a tracking number for Parcel Force. The number is invalid and Parcel Force have no record of my details at all. My emails and messages are now being ignored and it is quite evident that my order is not coming. An absolutely scandalous shower of frauds!! Do not purchase from them. I do not believe the 5 star reviews here, I would imagine they’re as fake as the tracking numbers this « company » sends its customers.

Horrible service, dont order from them! You will not get the item you purchased in time and If you will eventually get it will be really poor. They dont reply, dont tell you where your item is. Horrible. And all these 5 stars comments probably are given by their employees Im 100% sure

I ordered a macbook from them last week, product and service are flawless, very fast delivery. I'll recommend my friends to buy from this company in the future.

Useless company. Introduced by Hotel Exclusives, a front for GoGroopie.... I am not sure what GoGroopie's role is? The voucher was effectively half-price. Too good to be true?

DO NOT BUY from these companies. They take your money at the moment you place the order them simply “forget” they have a contract to supply. When I asked “What's happened?”, there was a rapid response suggesting the order might not have been placed... then nothing until I wrote a harsh review on this site.

Tried to cancel but Smart IT's website is singularly unhelpful ; found a telephone number to dial that simply referred me back to the website! My review provoked an e-mail,suggesting a refund - but not from SMART IT (who sent the e-mail) but from GoGroopie, After about 10 days I was refunded... such a relief as I was not sure if I had been duped. Perhaps I have become over-suspicious, but little was done to keep me happily re-assured

Not an easy company to buy from.

Ordered a chromebook with a delivery date of no later than 4th December, have tried emailing and getting very unprofessional vague responses. It is now 10th and still no sign. I had to pay a £9.99 delivery charge for it to be over a week late and still hasnt been dispatched. Starting to think ive been scammed.Chromebook finally arrived and it is quite clearly a counterfeit, the laptop says Samsing on it, there is no serial number present on the entire product the casing is all loose, they have placed a very cheap poorly fitted cover on the chromebook which is covering an absolute mess underneath. I have contacted the company and was given an address to return the product to. Meaning i would have to pay to return. Still not had any explanation or apology i will now be using all evidence to report to trading standards.
