Great and reliable basic camper van which slept 4 inside and was comfortable on travel for 5. Fridge was good too. Chairs and table and other things you get were all good to use. Awning is a little flappy and hard to get tight. Take it down if windy or heavy rain. Would recommend the electric wire as made life very easy at campsites.

If you are looking to rent a motor-home I would defiantly recommend this company. Communication was very good and with Covid any changes we needed to make were actioned quickly. The motor-home was lovely and clean. The pick up and drop off was easy and we paid for onsite parking so easy to leave the car with them. I would recommend you fill up the LPG as their specified garage if you think you need it as we could not find a garage anywhere on our trip that did it! The water hose to fill up fresh water is quite short and it would have been helpful if a separate water butt could have been provided so you don't always have to move the van to top up. If you like a cup to tea bring you own mugs as Spaceships just provide 4 plastic cups. We took our own bedding. The shower and toilet in these homes as super small so we did use on site shower blocks rather than the one in the van. Overall happy with our booking. We would use this company again.

We are from the States and were required to quarantine upon our arrival. Since we arrived at Heathrow, we chose the Spaceships location near the airport - it is VERY convenient...about 3-4 miles away.

We were a little anxious being the first time to rent a camper van/motorhome and Jack and his crew made it very easy for us. They answered many pre-reservation questions with patience and helpfulness...they treated us incredibly well!

As far as the booking goes - it was easy, streamlined, and very efficient. Actually picking up the rental was equally painless and straightforward. It may be a little hard to find their office since it is at a shared location with another business, but they send pics to show you everything - location, key pickup, etc.

The vehicle was in super shape and has been a joy to drive/camp in so far. You also can't find better or more reasonable rates than what they offer. If you need a motorhome or camper van rental - they need to be your first call.

From start to finish, service and supportbwas fantastic.

Our vehicle was ready early so they allowed an earlier collection for our onward journey to Inverness.

Vehicle was clean and comfortable. Full books outlining any questions for usage to support throughout the trip. All bedding was loaded onboard and a full gas tank for going.

Vehicle was only 2 years old and drove like a dream. Very fuel efficient which surprised us. 220 quid to do edinburgh and round the nc500 and back.

Definitely will be using the company again for our return roadtrip round scotland.

Picked up the Spock family motorhome from Edinburgh and did a week touring outer Hebrides.

Was really clean, checkin and check out easy. There was a member of staff there when we picked up who gave a quick run through of how things worked. No hidden charges. I paid for the extra insurance but worth noting it excludes damage while reversing and also they don’t give you chocks but I’m not really bothered about being perfectly flat.

Only thing I wished I knew before leaving was the hand brake is tooled by the drivers door! Took a while to figure out the strange beeping

Great service, very convenient price and quality machine! We drove O'Briain to Cornwall for a long weekend and it was a great experience. We were only 4, considering the motorhome could host up to 7 people there was quite a lot of room for us. In fact I'd think 7 might feel a bit tight. The pick-up and drop-off were both super-smooth and covid-safe. Highly recommended and will definitely come back for more getaway trips.

This was our first try at "motorhoming" and and it did not disappoint, in fact we enjoyed the experience much more than we thought we would. We loved the flexibility of exploring and being able to stay anywhere at short notice. We had some awesome nights in parking lots on the beach so scout around for these.

The Spaceships motorhome was in good condition, well prepared and very functional. It was miles too big for the two of us but we enjoyed the space in spite of the stress of trying to steer this monolith through narrow British lanes!

My only critique would be that the gas was empty and it took a while to find a suitable filling station. Like a car rental I think everything should be topped up at the start and returned full. Some rubber tie-downs would be handy for bikes and other items in the huge storage area. But generally extremely memorable.

We rented a 7-berth motorhome for 4 days in May Bank Holiday 2021 travel to Cornwall. We received an excellent service from Spaceships Rentals, friendly and efficient staff. The motorhome was warm, comfortable and well-equipped - and very straightforward to drive. Would recommend highly. Thank you Spaceships:).

Rented spock the 7 berth camper from space ships. The whole experience was great from booking to return got some fantastic advice from the sales agent at the start and emails were sent on a daily basis from the start with information on everything you could wish to know as it was our first time in a camper. We had a few minor glitches with the camper when we pulled in at the first camp site which were delt with straight away by the team at space ships. All in all it was fantastic and I would highly recommend spaceship to anyone looking to rent a camper van. Well done to all the team and I will certainly rent from you guys again.

The campervans were part of a new fleet, easy to drive and comfortable to sleep in. Our first night was very inconvenient, however, as there was literally zero LPG in the tank, despite Spaceships requiring all vehicles to be returned with some LPG in them. Given the scarcity of LPG service stations and the difficulty in accurately locating them, this led to a lot of wasted time. Communication out of hours is primarily via email which is also difficult and slower. While the video tutorials can help, the most effective solution was finally getting a member of staff on the phone to tell us exactly how to switch from the LPG to the Electric setting and walking us through it step by step. I would suggest that in future all vehicles are provided with a full tank of LPG and Diesel and that the company is strict in ensuring they are returned as such. I think it would also be helpful to compile a list of LPG service providers across the nation as internet searches for LPG are notoriously poor. Alternatively, consider using Calor Gas which is much more widely available.

We've used Spaceships a few times and have always been really impressed with the customer service and range of vehicles. Particularly grateful to the team who arranged a rental for us in order to attend a funeral during lockdown. The motorhome was almost brand new and sparkling clean, giving us real peace of mind. Thank you so much again and we look forward to renting another Spaceships in happier times!

SUPERWONDERFUL PEOPLE!
Hi everybody,

we made a reservation before the Covid 19 pandemic then things got worse. We asked assistance with this, Spaceships offered a voucher and a long time to use it. Along the pandemic our private situation changed (pregnancy) Spaceships extended our voucher with no problem. Our private situation got more complicated with the pandemic still on, a new baby coming, two children growing up, a mortgage and my husband’s half unemployment due to the pandemic: afraid they could answer “no, we are sorry” due to the economic troubles for everyone along the pandemic, we dared to ask for full refund asap as behind Covid 19 a trip became for us a privilege we cannot afford anymore, they just answered “No problem at all” and after 2 days since our request our deposit was already refunded.

Unfortunately we cannot say anything about the service itself as we could not enjoy our trip in the end but 100% we can prove we dealt with very good people, SPECIAL PEOPLE and for sure behind a special service there are these kind of people. We will prove this sentence next time we go back to Ireland as 10000000% we will turn to and rely on SUPERSPACESHIPS RENTAL for anything we will need. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN GUYS!

My husband and I, along with our dog, recently returned from a Spaceships road trip through the Scottish Highlands and over to the sea to of Skye, and we could not recommend this company more!

On booking, I must admit we were sceptical as the price almost seemed too good to be true, especially in comparison to similar companies. However, it just so happened we booked on August Bank Holiday weekend and got a great deal. We also took the time to read countless positive reviews which sealed the deal for us - along with the fact that dogs were welcome aboard, too!

We picked the van up in Edinburgh, where all Covid precautions were clearly thought through and actioned accordingly. The pick-up instructions and videos we received in the lead up to our trip were also really useful. Our voyager was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable trip.

The van itself was easy to drive – it navigated the narrow roads and hairpin bends very well; all equipment was in good working order, and the fridge was a welcome addition, too. The bed was huge, and we were surprised at how much space we had even after unloading all our stuff into the van… and we did not pack lightly either!

During our trip, we saw quite a few Spaceships on the road both larger and smaller than the voyager so we knew we were in good company. We were more than happy in the voyager – though we were slightly jealous of the motorhomes happily cooking away inside whilst we were battling to keep our gas cooker alight in the pouring rain and howling winds! But what did we expect when camping in October – in all honesty it just added to the fun.

We are so grateful to Spaceships for giving us the opportunity to get away and enjoy a semblance of normality after a very strange year for all. The only problem we have now is to decide where to go next!

We had an excellent experience with Spaceships. It was an easy pickup and any issues we had were quickly resolved by the person on-site. Comfortable and room enough for 2 people in the Voyager and even though Scotland was rainy and freezing, we were never cold at night! Only downfall I can note is the awning they provide is not waterproof at all. Even in a light rain it leaks water right down on you so was difficult to cook meals without getting wet. They do recommend not using the awning during heavy rains but even the lightest rainfall was still dripping through it. Other than that the customer service and overall service experience was excellent. Would definitely recommend

Everything about my Spaceships experience has been perfect, from the exceptional customer service to the ease with which we were able to pick up the campervan (which was in pristine condition). Well done spaceships (Edinburgh),,I rented a 7 berth with 7 travelling seats that is very good for large families the only hire motorhome company that am aware of that have 7 travelling seats,, easy booking, prompt attention from Klaudia if you have any problems she's there for you... Motorhomes are new and the best part as they don't charge for mileage charges like other rental company's for spaceships rentals Edinburgh is 5 stars
