The boot lock on our much-loved, 30 year old E220 Soft Top Coupe was 'stuck' locked but with the boot open. This rendered the car unusable. Ian, the incredibly knowledgeable proprietor of Star Motors, dismantled and reassembled the lock / actuator mechanism (having removed it a rain-lashed carpark). Ianb repaired the unit (which isn't available new), tested it and reinstalled it for a nominal fee, thus getting our coupe back on the road and ready for a wedding on Friday,

Booked using Groupon vouchers. Booking made online but SM refused to accept as the on line booking did not go through to them. I was told Groupon vouchers were telephone booking only. However when I did call to book in March for an April booking I was told it was too soon yo book which is why I booked online. Won't use SM again and will no longer use Groupon

Found them unprofessional/Rude/condescending and fitting parts as guess work and to top it up ..your car gets 2 tiny dents whilst in their possession!

They must be writing reviews themselves. Bloke on the phone was the rudest p..ck I've ever heard. Defo not recommended

Always great service, advice and good prices. Have been using Star Motors for many years with multiple cars. To be honest one of the main reasons I buy Mercedes cars is knowing the quality of service that I can get from this team.

Great garage , super professional , they know everything about Mercedes and are great set of people . Can’t recommend highly enough .

ALWAYS transparent with pricing, service (including preventative) with every one of my Mercedes visits over the past 17 years.
ONCE, I made the mistake of taking my 20 yr old car to another local garage for her annual MOT, full service & a few fixes they advised, and she had so many things go wrong with her shortly after.
Subsequent visits to Star Motors resurrected her back to life and now I will only take her to see the great staff at Star Motors who take great care. She drives like a dream and gets better each time we leave there, after the mistake of taking elsewhere, lesson learned :) !

I used the guys a few years ago on a Mercedes ML and found the very reasonable and reliable. Glad to see nothing has changed 😁 I booked in for new front brake pads and discs (dealer recommended) and got a call early morning to say discs were fine but would be a good idea to do the rear pads. Overall cheaper, really good labour rates and fast too. I highly recommend Star for any Merc owner
