Stow Brothers is a great state agent, with fantastic properties and great people to give you andvice and accompany you in the process of viewing and buying a property. Never pushy (so many state agents are!) and always attentive to your needs. They are generous with their time and super quick to respond. A++++❤️❤️

I bought my first home with Stow Brothers, South Woodford branch.
I wanted to mention Anita who was exceptional throughout the purchase process communicating with both parties to ensure the sale was progressed in a timely and efficient manner.
Very pleased with the service provided by Stow Brothers and would highly recommend the team and Anita particularly.

This is the third time I have used Stow Brothers, first they let and managed my flat for just over a year, then I sold my flat through this company, and now my daughters bought a house from Highams Park branch of Stow Brothers.
When buying and selling, i dealt with Mia Francis (Sales progressor), Mia is a real professional, she kept me and my daughters informed during the whole process, and provided excellent customer care, and is an asset to Stow Brothers.
I am extremely happy with Stow Brothers, they are the best if you are looking to rent, buy or sell.

The experience with Stow Brothers and namely Ryan and Tanika has been great. They were very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. What I also appreciated was how respectful they were towards the existing tenant during the showing. The rental process once everything was agreed also went extremely smooth, answers were provided very quick and they were helpful throughout. I can definitely recommend them when searching for a new home or renting/selling your home.

I have rented my property out in Walthamstow through Stow Brothers for over ten years, and their service has always been outstanding. Recently Catarina Pita - in the property management department - has far exceeded my expectations. Professional, warm and informative she has kept me up to date on some recent renovations and I can't rate her highly enough. Her communications between the trades people, the tenant and myself has been prompt and she also brought in the project under budget and much quicker than expected.

Our experience as tenants with Stow Brothers, who were both managing the property we lived in and selling our same property for the landlady, was thoroughly disappointing.

They weren't amazing even before the landlady chose to sell. Early on, there were a string of property managers who were either rude to us, or difficult to get hold of. Upon reporting black mould and severe damp, my partner was told "it's normal in old houses" and then just left us in limbo over the issue. Eventually the lovely Anita Datta took over managing and things started to get fixed, turned out a leak around the bay window was causing the issues. They'd left us with that issue (and resulting health problems) for over a year.

When the landlady chose to sell, Stow made us feel so disregarded. They prioritised a quick sale over our right to peaceful enjoyment of the home we were paying for. This was concerning considering our tenancy was being managed by a different branch of Stow Brothers.

​Viewings were requested with very little notice, including one instance where we were asked at 9am to accommodate a viewing at 4pm the same day. We were also asked to vacate the property for a series of viewings which they were hoping to conduct during a heatwave, barely giving us the minimum 24 hours notice for this.

​Their attitude towards us prompted us to install an indoor security camera ahead of the viewings, particularly as Stow had told us it was expected that we would not be present during viewings "for the comfort of the buyers." The footage subsequently captured our belongings being moved and looked through, with one prospective buyer even going through my wardrobe while the agent was stood downstairs, a clear violation of our privacy despite our expressed concerns.

​The camera also recorded agents providing incorrect information about the property to potential buyers. For example, a buyer was told the fireplace was a gas fire when it's not, and another was unable to locate the washing machine, telling the buyer to email the office instead of simply opening the cupboard in the hallway where it is located (or even asking me - for one of the viewings I was hiding in the garden working on my laptop...)

Throughout this process we were consistently pressed for a moving date, despite repeated explanations about the delays in our own home purchase, which our landlady was aware of and happy to work with us flexibly on. We felt like we were a nuisance rather than people trying to navigate the complex process of buying a home.

​When the property did not sell within about three weeks, the agent (Joe) appeared to blame us. I feel he implied that the decor and furniture were the reason for the failure to sell. He requested we accommodate companies to come in and draw up plans and quotes to "stage" the house with new furniture and redecorate, a request we could not agree to immediately due to our impending wedding. Shortly after we asked him to give us just a week or so to focus on our wedding day, we were coldly served a Section 21 eviction notice.

​Ultimately, Stow's conduct caused significant stress. The agency's approach, from disregarding our privacy to providing incorrect property information to others, doesn't seem to have been particularly helpful to us as tenants or to their client, our (now former) landlady.

Buyer, seller and renter beware.

We used Stow to sell our house in Hackney. From start to finish the service has been truly excellent. The communication, attention to detail and supportive approach made the whole process so much easier and less stressful. They also took absolutely wonderful pictures of our house. We ended up with 5 offers and above asking price. What more could you ask for! Big thank you to Eva, Claudia and team. They've been great.

Ellie has been fantastic to work with. She’s professional, responsive and proactive, keeping us updated throughout and making the management of our property completely stress-free. Her communication and attention to detail have been excellent, and we’d highly recommend her to any landlord.

We sold our home and bought our new one with The Stow Brothers simultaneously. At every step of the way the team were attentive, knowledgeable and encouraging. Claudia was fantastic at chasing up solicitors and keeping everyone on track and keeping the whole chain well informed. The whole process honestly felt stress free and easy thanks to their good communication and organisation.
