This was my first experience of buying a vehicle from the Guy Salmon group (Northampton). I was very pleased overall with the professionalism shown by the sales staff, especially given that the sale was conducted entirely over the telephone. The process was quite seamless thanks to a very helpful sales executive. The car was delivered to my home address. It was a pleasure to deal with a company who strived to deliver custom satisfaction. Well done to the team at Northampton.

jaguar f pace chequered flag purchase
The sales guy Warren Mead was excellent, and really did his best in every way.
I feel he was let down by Guy Salmon as when i went in to collect the vehicle there was no spare key for it and there was no log book available these had been lost. Surely these items should have been checked that they were available before handover.
This has taken the edge off of my new purchase and left me very deflatted about my experience with Guy salmon.

No problems at all.
My purchase and part-ex was done remotely with no visit to Northampton but everything went very well with no problems at all. I was happy with the final deal, they were sensible about the part ex and purchase price, unlike a different Jaguar dealer who ignored my online request for a call back and eventually offered a ridiculous part ex price! I am happy to recommend Guy Salmon Jaguar Northampton.

Considering the difficult times we find ourselves in and the method we now have to use when purchasing a new car I found the process from start to finish excellent. From viewing the car on line having a video tour of the car made my mind up to purchase. The salesperson Andrew was more than helpful and explained every step of the way when dealing with so much paper work via the internet. The car was ready on time and in such a good presentable condition.

Fantastic service and delighted with my new car!
Buying a car during a pandemic was never going to be easy, but in all honesty I don’t think Nick could have done any more. Even when there was a slight hitch with the car we were buying, this was resolved by the whole team. I would recommend this dealership to anyone wanting to purchase from the Sytner group, not just a Jaguar, as they arranged to transport the car we wanted from another location, efficiently and without fuss. Thank you to Nick and the team for a top job done!

Buying during Covid restrictions
Have recently purchased an Approved Used Jaguar XF from Guy Salmon using the click and collect process brought about by the Covid restrictions. I have to say that it all worked very well. The car was exactly as described with a full video presentation as I could not go and inspect it prior to purchase. Similarly the part exchange process was just as good whereby my car could not be inspected either and a fair market valuation was agree based on my honest description and service history back-up. All my questions were answered and I had complete reassurance regarding the security of money transfer. The handover on the day of exchange was very Covid secure and worked very smoothly. All in all a good experience which worked very well under the current circumstances with many thanks to Neil Sidebottom, the Sales Executive who very competently guided me through the whole process.

Booked my car in for a service with ease. Was met with a very warm welcome, and a courtesy car waiting for me as agreed. Kept informed with a video whilst the work was being carried out. Approved used E-Pace.
I have now owned the E-Pace for one week. It is a joy to drive in all respects. Lets hope that continues.

Even later in the week when I called they could not have been more helpful. Do Jaguar contact their new customer say, four weeks later to see how things are going. If not why not??

Service cost good, estimates for work crazy!
Fixed price service charge was very reasonable. Dropped car off at 10am, arrived after 4pm and it wasn't ready.
The biggest issue was the estimates for advisory work, I had reported low battery warning and asked for the battery to be tested. The quote to diagnose whether the battery needed replacing was £387, not for a new battery, just to say if the old one was still OK. The technician reported a slight leak on one of the cam covers, it must be slight because the car has never used oil. The quote to replace it, £1780! At Guy Salmons hourly rate that is 2 days of labour, really?
Obviously I didn't allow the work to be done and have since drop tested the battery (5 minutes) and recharged it, all OK.
Very disappointing, I really felt like they were trying to rip me off. As a result, the car will be serviced elsewhere from now on.

I’ve always had Excellent service from the Guy Salmon Northampton team for any work done on my cars. Always on time and if you book a little while ahead always a courtesy car available. Even in these strange Covid times the staff have been really personable and friendly, completed work on time and the car is immaculate when I collect it.
