Best for all travelers

I've been using Tep for something like 2 years. Mostly in tbe Balkan countries. As a freelancer I really need good internet connection. Thank's to Tep I have it even in the high mountains or more rural places.The device has good battery and can work for long hours without charging. I trully reccomend it to all people who travel a lot :)

Decent roaming wifi

Decent roaming wifi. Not something I thought I would use however I got one through work and use it a fair bit for trade shows. I have found connection can take a while but once its up and running its good. Mostly used in europe. everynow and again it takes a couple of restarts to get going but otherwise no complaints.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed, did not work where they claimed it would. Christmas Island, Australia as of writing this they still claim on their website it will work there. After talking to support agent Anah Khan, I was promised a full refund including return shipping from Christmas Island to UK. This came to around $245AUD but to my suprise I get an email last night saying I will be refunded only $99USD (about $139 AUD at time of writing) They don't research all locations to confirm it works.

I have edited my review, in light of the fact they apologised and made a full refund.

Thanks for your feedback. Apologies for the issues you faced.

The full refund has been made for you. There was an error in our administration which meant the correct amount was not allocated for refund. I apologise for this error and as mentioned this has been fixed.

We are working with our network partner to find out what happened here and why the coverage was not available when it should have been. We work with our trusted partners to deliver our service and we do not own the infrastructure that provides the connection on the ground. I apologise that we fell short of the mark for you.

If you would like to give us a second chance pop me a message on here and I will be happy to sort something out for you to make up for the troubles you faced.

Travel the world without ridiculous roaming fees

This is such an AWESOME product that has changed the cost of world wide data on your cell or tablet. I really appreciate that I don't need to pay outrageous amounts to my cell service provider for data on my phone and tablet. It seamlessly travels between countries and allows for use all over the country. I have had excellent service from TEP Customer Service and they have been very responsive in finding solutions to all of my problems! I had a unit that did not work and they were very prompt in replacing it for me immediately! I have bought them for all members of our family!

We rented the 4G Teppy while on a…

We rented the 4G Teppy while on a Baltic Cruise summer of 2018. We had excellent service the entire time in the countries we visited (England, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Estonia, and Germany). we plan to rent one for our Alaska trip this next summer.

Excellent product! And customer service!

This is the third or fourth time I've used Tep for trips to the Middle East. First three times were seamless. Fourth time when I went to use the device in-country, I got an error message. I called the customer service number and was working through a solution when we got disconnected. The customer agent continued to work the problem and about 30 minutes later I was up and running. Tep followed up by email to make sure I could use the device. I trust Tep each time I travel abroad, and feel even more confidence now that I know they will be there to support the device. Highly recommend!

Never again.

Really the worst experience I’ve ever had. Was sent the wrong device and therefor left without internet for two weeks in a place I could not possibly roam in. Couldn’t reach clients and had actual financial loss because of this. Check that they give you a device that actually works in the region you’re traveling to.

Travelling round Colombia with Tep…

Travelling round Colombia with Tep really saved me, it's importance can't be understated until you use it on the regular! On my next trip i will definitely be using it. The only possible negative might be that the battery life could be a bit better but overall it was fine. I expect it is due to being a rental unit.

Teppy is a gem.

My very own Teppy has never let me down even once. I have both their 3G and 4G units and I am very satisfied with the performance of both devices. Seamless connectivity whenever, wherever I travel.

Inadequate service and fussy device

I tried to post this review to TEP's site, but because I gave it only two stars, it oddly didn't get posted. That tells you a bit about the company.

The service worked okay on St. Lucia, but was virtually non-existent on Martinique. Maybe it was the device, maybe it was the mobile towers they have access to, but I was able to get a cell connection on my phone consistently in places where TEP showed zero bars.

The startup process on the device usually stalled and I had to power on and off to try again... almost every time. We stopped using it even when there was a signal, just because the connection was so maddeningly inconsistent.

Excellent service and device

I initially was having problems connecting to my device, and got frustrated with the whole process since I needed to use WiFi in Israel. Tep’s customer service tried to help me while I was traveling and upon my arrival at home they sent me a new device and credited 5 more days to my account. When I tried to use my new device in Serbia, I was informed that Tep did not have coverage in Serbia. I was frustrated and not shy to let them know. Again, they told that they were trying to solve my problem and that they would credit two more days to my account. A few hours later, they contacted me stating that they just purchased coverage in Serbia and that I could use my Tep. So, when I turned it on it not only worked but was also a very fast connection. I was really impressed for the way they handled the whole situation and satisfied as a customer.

I have loved having my Teppy with me…

I have loved having my Teppy with me for my recent trip to Kenya, and enjoyed the simplicity and connectivity at reasonable cost. The support team were very responsive to my emails about changing and confirming my collection date and request for additional information. The only reason I chose great rather than excellent was that I found the website confusing about the delivery and return options and pricing - it seemed to offer me the choice of post or collection, but whatever I chose, it then seemed to default to my needing to collect it, It wasn't really clear to me what was actually going to happen until I got the confirmation email. Despite this, my experience of collection and drop off at the airport, and the responsiveness of the support team have been so good, that I will be looking forward to my next Teppy experience.

I've had a Teppy device for the past…

I've had a Teppy device for the past year, and it has been so perfect for me! I travel loads for work and fun and this makes landing in a foreign country so easy. Occasionally it takes a while to connect. I have called customer support a couple of times and mostly got an instant solution to my connection issues. All in all I have been happy

Absolutely terrible experience. Don't waste your money.

Absolutely terrible experience with the amazingly unhelpful company. I STRONGLY urge you to get your wifi device from one of the other companies out there. I travel a lot as a personal chef all over the world and have used many companies for wifi services (depending on what companies have the best deals going on in the counties I'm visiting) and have never had any issues until Tep.
Even if they have a "good deal" going on or a sale PLEASE steer clear of this company and go thru somewhere that will actually provide the service you are paying for.

Beware

Beware! It was my 3rd time ordering a Tep and it is GREAT when it works. Except it doesn't always and this is when things get bad.

I was given a device that wasn't registered under my account so had to turn on roaming to contact them so they can fix, which cost me £30.

They fixed it. Then when battery ran low I realised my device's battery was dead - was only working when plugged in but impossible to charge the battery. So I could only use it in the hotel room, where I had wifi.

I asked for a full refund which they accepted. Refund was not coming so I raised a PayPal dispute. They finally refunded but not the delivery fee because " the delivery fee has already been to the courier for having the device delivered".

Like this is my fault they decided to pay the courrier to ship a device that was not working.

So I'm out 4.95£, which is fine. I just will never use their services again.

Thanks for your feedback - apologies for the experience you had most recently with Tep. This is certainly not the service we strive to provide to our customers.

Apologies for the issue faced with the battery. We have removed the device from circulation to make sure this won't happen again. We are always working to improve our QA to stop faulty devices from slipping through the net - we will be looking into how this happened.

Our accounts team refund in batches and your refund was scheduled for the end of the month. I checked your case history and can see that this was not communicated to you - I have spoken to our support team and stressed the importance of good/correct communication with our customers.

I appreciate this has not been a positive experience. I have gone ahead and refunded the remaining £4.95 as a small, further, gesture of apology.

I would love to offer you something on us, for your next trip, to make up for this experience and give you a great Tep experience that we know is possible.
