There should be a zero star rating. Typical car rental company. You book online. You buy fully comprehensive or top grade insurance. When you arrive they let you know about the excess. When you produce your card they tell you the price is different because you're using a debit card and not a credit card. 7000baht extra. Too tired after the journey to argue. Returned the car 2 days early which was my choice so didn't mind paying for that. Car passed and agreed was in the same condition as received. Told my 5000 baht deposit would be returned to my debit card. 3 weeks later and still no sign. Gangsters!

like every other company, customer experience greatly influenced by region, branch, entirely dependent on employee. That said don't expect much at all. short answer Yes they are that bad. Their employee act like they own the company, don't expect any kind of customer service. Customer service isn't in their dictionary, or employee handbook. Avoid. I used them because I'm a national car rental emerald Isle executive member. their cars are old, not well maintained, expect 90k or 100k km mileage on average. The employees don't do the job, forget to arrange for drop off, and then pass the audacity to blow the customer off, like if you're not happy call customer service, call the complaint line Don't bother me because I'm above all that attitude. we would love to standing in Bangkok heat outdoors indefinitely. This was at Don Mueang Airport. The counter agent will tell you to call the customer complaint line, when you call the customer complaint line, they'll tell you to send an email. but that really means is we don't care go f off.

I booked a rental car through trip.com, which direct me to Thai Rent A car, wish I first read the reviews which they have a very poor rating, I picked up the rental car at Bangkok airport, the Thai rental staff had a form for myself to sign , for the condition of the car, on the form the engine and tyres were not on the form to be inspected, after driving the car for a few days I was told by a service station worker that the tyres needed air, that when was the first time that I took notice of the tyres, the front tyres wore extremely dangerous, luckily I was never in a major accident, I will post pictures of the tyres, how can a rental company give people dangerous cars to drive,

Wir hatten jetzt für 6 1/2 Monate einen Toyota Yaris von Thai Rent a car. Alles bestens gelaufen, keine Probleme. Hatten mit dem ersten einen Unfall. Pickup ist uns hinten voll draufgefahren. Meine Frau hat mit Thai Rent a Car telefoniert und Protokoll Polizei per Line. Innerhalb 3 Std. wurde das beschädigte Fahrzeug abgeholt und uns ein neues ausgehändigt ohne Kosten.
Kann nicht verstehen was die anderen für Probleme hatten, wir haben Thai Rent a car seid vielen Jahren jeweils 6 Monate im Jahr. Hatten noch nie Probleme. Kratzer kleine Dellen oder sonstiges war noch nie ein Thema

Und Geld für die Vermietung auch nicht zurückbekommen. Bestehen auf Hals und Brechen auf eine Kreditkarte sonst bekomme ich das Auto nicht. Also selten so ein schlechten Service erlebt, könnte mich übergeben. Telefonisch wie vor Ort richtig unterirdisch. Auf keine Einigung gekommen, einfach liegen gelassen so im Prinzip bist selber Schuld.

At Suvarnabhumi, we took over the Toyota Corolla Cross n covered about 1500km without issues. Car was very clean n all scratches were well marked B4 we took over. Car performed well throughout with smooth acceleration n ease of handling after getting used to it.
What impressed me the most was the lady handling over n the man taking over. They were both professional n caring, especially the lady handing over various safety n other advices.

Experience report: We wanted to book a car for December. When we were redirected to the payment page, the site suddenly stopped working. So we tried again. This time it worked. Suddenly we had made two bookings at the same time. We reported this immediately. However, we were told that there would be no refund, despite the obvious error on the site.
Terrible customer service. Stay away!

This seems to be a pattern - take a deposit of £109.75 and then not return it within 14 days as promised. I have sent at least 6 e-mails to various departments and no refund is forthcoming. This is theft.
I will never rent from this company again!

I have rented cars several times from Thai Rent A Car and although I have not had any bad experiences I have always found their staff to be a bit robotic. Once or twice I was a little concerned about the vehicle they gave me and asked if it was possible to change to another and they made it seem like it would be very troublesome. More recently on my trips to Thailand I have started using car rental companies that locals use and found the level of service to be higher and the cars much newer

I have been to Thailand many times, and I rented a car every time. Sometimes I rented a car from Thai rent a car. Their cars are quite old, most of them are more than 10 years old. Because the cars are old, the fuel consumption will be very high. In addition, there is no Bluetooth in the car, and music cannot be played from the mobile phone. Now when I go to Thailand, I will try to avoid renting a car from this company.

Already 6 months and still didnt get my deposite back

Awful from the start. Collection agent was rude and needed customer service training. Car was just okay. Still waiting for deposit to be refunded after six weeks, despite contacting them several times and them confirming it’s done. Managers attitude was just as bad, so easy to understand why the colleague was needing trained

Vorsicht hätte angeblich im Fahrzeug geraucht was nicht der Fall war,wollten 5000 Baht Deposit behalten,erst nach Rücksprache im 2. stock wurden es dann storniert.

Wir hatten am 03.06.24 bei Thairentacar einen Mietwagen über Check24 ab Flughafen Suvarnabhumi in Bangkok für 15 Tage gebucht. Nach 1 Woche, also heute , am 11.06. kam eine Nachricht von Check24 das Thairentacar die Buchung storniert habe, da das gebuchte Fahrzeug nicht verfügbar wäre. Die Buchung wäre ja auch auf Anfrage gewesen. Und dann braucht man 1 ganze Woche um uns mitzuteilen, das die Buchung storniert wird. Einfach unglaublich. Fazit: Wir haben nun woanders gebucht und tatsächlich sofort eine Bestätigung der Buchung erhalten. Fazit: NIE WIEDER Thairentacar.

Es ist wohl eine richtige Masche, beim kleinsten Steinschlag werden die 5.000 Bart Kaution einbehalten
unqualifiziertes Personal und unfreundlich.

Unbedingt vermeiden!
Nehmen keine Debitkarte (kredit) an und lassen einen lieber ohne Auto dort stehen als eine Alternative über Familienmitgliedern oder einer Barkaution zu finden.

"Es wäre illegal eine Kreditkarte eines Familienmitglieds zu nehmen, dessen Einverständnis man hat". Eine Vollmacht lag vor.

On their website advertising brand new cars. What I got is a 96000 KM Fortuner from 2019. The car was well maintained but not new.
Next time will choose anorher rental company

Watch out! They hold onto your deposit money for weeks after you return the car. Do not recommend.

Worst car rental experiences ever. Watch out to those who book and pay by the online website, they do not refund on cancel booking or in any circumstances they will make sure to not to pay refund. I do not recommend this Thai local car rental services because of their company policy is shakey.I already have some customer experiences and relationship with this company and it's not good experiences.Use some other international company. I pay my money to company and in return I only got this experiences( No refund or services)

I do not receive the refund money or the car because I paid with the debit card and the they asked me for the credit card. They said " If I don't have the credit card, they will not pay the car. So, I request to pay the refund, and they said they cannot refund because I paid with the debit card" and "the bank said, they can't do anything about that because the payment is already paid to the other company"
I do not get any refund or the car from the Thai Rent a car. Becareful when you are using their services.If your money is in their pocket, they will make sure that you will do not get refund even if the customer do not receive anything from them .
Watchout when you paid from their website. Their website do not have the refund options like the other websites.
I have every evidences in term of videos and their messages reply.
The worst cases is they will not reply your messages when you asked them to come to their office and talk about this case. That mean they don't care the customers at all.
