Lack of communication ongoing issue &uninhabitable properties

I had an extremely disappointing and stressful experience with The Perfect Host through Airbnb.

On the very first night of my stay, there was a major water leak coming from the bathroom ceiling that caused significant flooding in both the bathroom and the bedroom. Both areas became completely unusable, and to make matters worse, the water caused the electricity in the unit to go out, creating a serious safety hazard.

I reported the issue to the host immediately and followed up again, but I received no response whatsoever. The complete lack of communication and responsibility is unacceptable. The host failed entirely to acknowledge or address a situation that made the property uninhabitable.

I was not able to leave right away because there were no alternative accommodations available. Despite spending hours with Airbnb support trying to find another place (since the host ignored me), I was forced to stay overnight in these unsafe conditions. I spent hours cleaning up the water myself just to prevent further damage and didn’t get any sleep.

It has now been 12 days since this incident, and I still have not received any response from the host. Based on my experience and similar reviews from other guests, this lack of communication appears to be an ongoing issue. I attempted contact with him through Airbnb messages, Airbnb support, through the perfect host website, through email, and through his team members Anna and Grace.

I do not recommend The Perfect Host at all. This was incredibly unprofessional. Avoid at all costs.

Never stay with this company

Never stay with this company, he has a house listed on Airbnb with the heating not working and did nothing about it. Ended up having to leave he then proceeded to have his housekeeping team check the premises which of course they found no issues. In complete contradiction of the photo evidence we provided of the faulty boiler.

It is winter and 2 degrees outside he is a landlord with 68 properties under the perfect host company and seems to care very little about his guests wellbeing and if his house is even hospitable but will happily take your £250 a night

I don’t recommend renting anything from this company.

It’s great that the owners feel relieved, but the guests hate how the perfect host are managing the apartments. No wifi? not their problem. Not working bathtube? not their problem. No heating? not their problem. you are left alone with everything although paying a horrendous amount of money for a short-term rent that shall be accompanied with support from the company you are renting it from. I don’t recommend renting anything from this company.

WARNING! Horrible service

Our experience below, but simply look at the reviews on Trustpilot - all 1 star reviews then suddenly 18 high rated reviews in TWO WEEKS?! Come on!

We had the absolute worst experience with The Perfect Host, ranging from being tricked into thinking we are getting a discount, incorrect receipts sent to us, threats from car park owners, construction noises and chemical smells, and no sympathy from Perfect Host.

After booking a month out, we were told A DAY before check-in that the car park was unavailable for our entire 7 day stay, so they pushed our parking to another location 10 minute walk away in the rain where we received threats from the local residents, with no response from Perfect Host. During our stay, there was construction directly outside our window, woken up at 7am from jack hammering within feet from our door and toxic chemical smells consuming the apartment -- we should have received a warning when we booked about the construction they knew about, but instead Perfect Host did not offer a refund and suddenly disappeared from communication when we asked for some money back. They finally gave in weeks after repeated emails and complaints -- very reluctantly and unapologetically.

To be honest, simply looking at the fake reviews from the past 2 weeks to boost their 1 star rating is enough of a reason to stay away.

Irresponsible letting practises

Irresponsible letting practises. A rave party took place in a residential street last night. Drug use on the street, loud music, revving cars and fights.
The police eventually enforced an antisocial behaviour order at 4am.
Getting in contact with this company has been impossible while the problem was ongoing.
If you want to trash a house and disrupt numerous households then this is the perfect host for you.

You bought and never lived in a family…

You bought and never lived in a family home on Tulsemere Road which you now let out as an AirBnb. Last night hundreds of people used it for a house party, doing drugs, filling our road with people doing nitrous and eventually having a fight. Over 25 police came to the scene. It kept the whole street awake including the neighbours whose daughter’s wedding is today. Atrocious! Our street is now littered with nitrous cans, balloons and broken glass. When contacted you said you asked the person to leave via the phone. You needed to get down here to assist the police in removing the people. Instead you did nothing.

I only wish there were a zero star…

I only wish there were a zero star option. This company rented out a house on my quiet residential road on a Friday night to a very large group of thugs who threw an all night party requiring police intervention twice.

Terrible host & customer service

Terrible customer service experience, look elsewhere. Overall the stay was nice but once checked out having realised I’ve forgotten my jacket, having contacted the host I was told it was not found.

After multiple calls and emails, I was later told that it was found and needed to pay £30 for UK postage and admin fee. After paying I was blocked and no contact made after this.

Having gone through Airbnb trying to get a refund I still haven’t heard from ‘The Perfect Host’ or Guy Robinson who is the owner.

Worst customer service at an Airbnb stay I’ve ever experienced. Save your time and avoid ‘The Perfect Host’.

The Worst Host
I booked a house in Cambridge for what I believed to be the 19th-21st of April, however, the next morning I received an email saying it was in actual fact for the 19th-21st of February (app error, human error??). I immediately contacted Guy through air bnb and air bnb itself. They have all refused to change my date or refund me. The place wasn't even confirmed until the morning of the 20th. The fact that no one will show any consideration and take my money (over £300!!) is absolutely unbelievable. I haven't received any service yet they were happy to take my money, including the full "cleaning fee". They are thieves with unethical business practices. Avoid Avoid Avoid

AVOID

Booked on Air BNB. Paid in full, told 3 weeks before our booking that it was ‘no longer available’. Inferior alternative offered which didn’t even have enough rooms/ beds. Terrible, terrible communication. Messages ignored. Very rude and complete lack of any customer service. We have requested a full refund and will book elsewhere. Avoid this company. Not surprised to see other negative reviews on here if that’s how they treat customers.

Very frustrating experience.

Very frustrating and difficult experience trying to get help from landlord to advise us on how to check in at the house in Cambridge. No back up plan offered. Perfect host company did not answer phone and when eventually they answered phone did not follow through with promise to help. Spent several hours on phone. Problem was eventually resolved by Airbnb

Be careful of this company

Be careful of this company, total was a scam; they posted the advertisement on Airbnb, and the house was messy and needed maintenance. They charge extra per hour for luggage storage and refused the refund when we found the place was filthy and unorganized.
