Honest review
I am not leaving 0 stars out of frustration or anger - but as a genuine reflection of the company and the service from the staff.
I submitted the card and was told a 45 business day turn around. That was October 2025. Its now mid April 2026.
I called a few times for updates and never did they have a single thing to say, with one time them being quite short and rude.
I rang up twice to update my new address, as it took so long i was moving house - they never updated the system...
I emailed twice with my new address and they still never updated the system - meaning my card was delivered to the wrong address.
When I called about this, they gave me the worlds worst excuse and expected me to buy it.
They said they would call me with updates.... turns out they didnt even have my correct phone number. He wasnt even going to cross reference with me until I prompted.
I wouldn't recommend this service to my worst enemy. Bearing in mind, they took the money up front - so anything after that doesn't matter to them, as they have already been paid.
So for the 0 reviews:
- Inaccurate dates given
- 6month wait for 1 card
- uninformed and unhelpful staff
- rude staff
- didn't update system with correct return information
- incorrect contact details
DO NOT GRADE WITH THEM.
I opted for the 20 Business Day package at Beckett. My cards were received on the 8th Jan 2026 its now April 7th, 4 months in and no return. Furthermore its been sat at “Stage 6 - In Grading” for a whole month, its 4 cards not 4000. They don’t answer emails, nor do they answer calls. My 1st time grading with them and certainly my last. Don’t make the mistake I made and find someone else more reliable.

Im not writing this in a disgruntled…
Im not writing this in a disgruntled customer perspective but have had time to think and elaborate on my experience. I submitted 55 cards at the London Card show in November 2025. I was told by the person to do value plus totalling a cost of £1,150 give or take. Turns out there were some cheaper options as some of the cards I submitted really arent worth that much money. Regardless i submitted and had frequent updates which im happy enough about. Then finally my batch got to QA Checks for PSA. And has been in that stage for over a month now. I have messaged Sub Center on three ocassions, 11 days ago, and another 3 times spread out for some form of update as they hold the PSA report number to check and it has been absolute silence.
They were happy to rush me and take my almost £1,200 cash but since then havent said a word back to me. I apprecaite PSA is delayed but mine were submitted before their price uplifts and further delays. I have graded in the past and QA checks shouldnt be approaching 5 weeks now and the fact they havent even replied to me to give me some form of update is really really sub par.
Sub Center i have emailed you numerous times. I will remove this review if you just finally reach out to me for an update as its been 5 months since i submitted my cards under a faster service.

Patronising, threatening and unhelpful
A 1/1 sports card (approx raw value £900) submitted to PSA via The Sub Centre in person last August remains stuck in research and ID nearly six months after submission. Unfortunately, as the card is part of a group submission, neither I or The Sub Centre can simply withdraw this card from the process at my own expense, so I now continue to face an undetermined length of time for it to be returned to me - another six months? A year? Who knows? While I have some sympathy for the significant limitations of The Sub Centre's service in this regard, (they're a mail room and nothing more) what I have zero sympathy for is the patronising, quasi-legal, and mildly threatening phone call I received from them in response to my emails - the thrust of which was that I should have read the small print and that I'd expose myself to legal recourse if I were to share my email exchange with them, with any other third party. I'm sure that there are plenty of very happy customers of The Sub Centre (sadly I am not among them), but just be warned that, when things go wrong, you're on your own.

Sent my cards to PSA to be graded, The Sub Center kept me in the loop every step of the way.
It did take a long time to get my cards back, around 3 months but this is more down to Psa than Sub Center, definitely recommend

I dealt with Sophie from the very beginning and her knowledge and understanding throughout the process really made me feel at ease sending such a valuable card for grading with PSA. Sophie is amazing at what she does and nothing was too much trouble. The Sub Center have now earned my trust for future grades and will be the only company I use. The owner Dan, is also a very knowledge and pleasant man to deal with. Massive thank you for making my shadowless Charizard dreams come true! 🔥

If I could give 0 I would. I sent my cards off in July and as I'm posting this we are in December and I still haven't had my cards back. I sent my cards with 2 separate grading options, I sent 6 to be graded with PSA and one that was already a PSA 10 to beckett for a crossover (with a turn around of 20 days). After contacting sub center back in October I was ignored, then my PSA submissions had upcharges so Dan emailed me for the extra money, I paid and used the opportunity to question what was taking so long with my crossover as my other cards had a 65 day turn around and the crossover was only supposed to be 20, he then went on to say that I am misunderstanding their time frames, I must of purchased the wrong service and that I was lying, not a single bit of accountability or understanding, just straight on the blame game. Now I am still without my slab that is a really expensive card and no estimate to when it'll be back. So don't use this company unless you want an indefinite time frame for your graded submissions.

After submitting my cards initially like a plonker (in the wrong sleeves and top loaders), the team at Sub Center were extremely polite, and kind enough to replace mine with the correct ones to be submitted.
While the process took long (not in their control), I felt so excited every time I got an update from them.
The box my cards were delivered in was not only super private, but very well protected and I am delighted to have my cards back!

I recently graded my cards with PSA through The Sub Center UK and the whole process was smooth, secure and very clearly explained from start to finish. The pricing is fair for a UK middleman, and the turnaround time was exactly in line with what was advertised on their PSA services page, which gave me a lot of confidence sending valuable cards through them.
Communication was excellent, with clear updates at each stage so I always knew where my submission was in the process. The cards came back well protected, everything arrived quickly once back in the UK.
I’ll definitely be using The Sub Center again for PSA grading and have no hesitation recommending them to other UK collectors looking for a reliable, insured grading middleman.
