I discovered The Upper Scale during the lockdown from a friend who works in the fine dining industry and recommended me to use them. As he is very fussy, I thought I'd give it a go.
I don't buy my fish from supermarkets anymore. The quality of the fish is superior, the prices are very competitive, the service has always been good and I like the idea to support small businesses instead of massive supermarket brands.

This is how fish is supposed to be. The morning after you order, a bloke from the fish market turns up at your door with the best, fresh fish on ice. Simple but absolutely great.

Absolutely amazing find.

The fish is so fresh and reasonable.
Lockdown birthday so ordered dover sole, when it arrived it was so big we shared one and froze the other. The second frozen one was just as tasty.
Service is so good. My last order was placed at 8pm and arrived the next morning at 8am!
Thoroughly recommend.

Without a doubt my best discovery during lockdown. The best tuna I have ever eaten, and the whole ordering process is so simple and the customer service is amazing. I will never buy my fish and seafood from the supermarket again- cannot recommend highly enough :)

Yum fresh fish
So good! I've been ordering from these guys through lockdown. Their fish of the day deals are often amazing value and led me to new techniques like fish stock, filleting, cooking shellfish and shucking oysters. Yum

Amazing quality fish and fantastic service
Ordered some fish both for sashimi and frying. The delivery was next day, and couldn't be happier with the quality of fish - simply amazing!

For me they are the best
Very reliable fishmonger. From my point of view - the best in the area.
Next day morning delivery of the freshest food is really great. The minimum order of 20 is very affordable.
We always enjoy sushi from their sashimi grade fish and all fresh fish is gutted and very clean. Not to mention that it is super fresh! A great choice and competitive prices with weekly special offers.
