The cost of the report from Timberwise was excellent value for money. The inspection of my property was comprehensive/thorough and the report was excellent. I am now able to get quotes for the repairs required based on an accurate assessment of the work needed. I do not have to rely on the trades folk making their assessment, which from previous experiences has not always been accurate. I definately will be using Timberwise again.

Martin arrived on time and was professional courteous yet down to earth and very knowledgeable. He gave a thorough assessment and explained options in a way which was easy to understand.

Keith came around and assessed the level of damp in our cellar which had previously been raised as a concern by a surveyor. He took measurements showed us the minor issue we had and recommended that minimal works were needed. He did provide some advice on what may help improve the airflow in the cellar but made it clear it was completely optional. Very professional and gave great unbiased advice.

Our buyer had a homebuyers survey on our property which noted some areas with high damp readings so we arranged for Timberwise to carry out a damp survey & report, and advise on any remedial works needed.
They are really easy to get in touch with, the team who answer the phone are friendly and helpful. The survey was cheaper than all other companies we enquired with and we found them the most upfront and easy to arrange things with.
Our surveyor Thomas Knight was prompt, down to earth and helpful -- he confirmed that we indeed had no issues with damp and no remedial works needed. He could've easily pushed us a damp proofing treatment but instead he was totally upfront and honest that nothing was required -- that's how you know this is a company based on integrity and good service rather than money making.
We were advised a 3-5 day turnaround for the report however we received it in under 36 hours and the report was exactly what we needed.

Donald did an amazing job damp proofing our walls, then plastering over them. He is also a lovely chap to boot, and would absolutely recommend him to anyone for great banter and a job very well done! :)

Richard and Matty gave our loft and garage treatment for woodworm after finding active woodworm in the garage roof. The team were polite, efficient and friendly, they cleaned up well after themselves, all good.

Timberwise were contracted by our insurance company to undertake repairs to the Solum of our property. Communication prior to arrival was first class with Chris stepping us through all proposed works via the telephone. Simon was then assigned to complete the works, we found him to be very polite and courteous and worked tirelessly whilst on site. He completed all works to a very high standard whilst taking every effort to ensure the rest of the house was unaffected by the works. Upon completion he then stepped us through all elements of the repair with images provided to demonstrate the work that was done. We cannot thank him again for the professionalism demonstrated whilst at our home. My wife and I would not hesitate to recommend Timberwise.

I received tremendous support from Forrest Hamilton at Timberwise Scotland, who had the patience of a saint answering an endless stream of annoying questions from the insurance company. The insurance claim approval process dragged out for nearly a year, and Forrest kept dealing with it with a great attitude.

When it came to the main work, which was horrifically messy and dusty, Ricky did a great job protecting our flat and minimising dust migration.

Finally, Jordan came to finish off the job (after plastering and cornice reinstatement by others) with some joinery work, which was top notch. Super friendly guy to boot!

Laura Ross, who coordinated the works, was also very friendly and helpful.

Overall, it went very smoothly with Timberwise, and I'd happily use them again (although I hope I won't have the need to!)

The Timberwise technician that visited our house was Chris Ricketts. Chris was with us 7 days in total. Each day Chris was prompt, courteous, worked extremely hard during some very hot weather and left the house clean and tidy at the end of every day. His work was exemplary and we are very pleased with the finish of the treated walls. If you are using Timberwise in the South East be sure to ask for Chris!

We’d had bad experience of a previous timber company who changed us for a non report and wouldn’t answer our complaints so we were cautious when Keith arrived to check our woodworm issue. Keith the surveyor was courteous and professional. He said that the problem was not active and didn’t try to talk us into any expensive (and unnecessary) treatment. This was professional and impartial advice with no upselling and I’d be happy to recommend Timberwise to anyone.

Absolutely superb service from the whole Timberwise team from start to finish. Special mention to Kevin who was neat and tidy, super friendly and the finish of the work completed was second to none.

We've just purchased an old cottage and we found out that two of the wooden window lintels were rotted. Tim came around to take a look and provided excellent advice and a plan of action. Matt and Matty then came in to replace the lintels and carry out preventative woodworm treatment of the whole cottage. They did an absolutely sterling job - professional, precise and exactly what we were looking for. Great team and would highly recommend Timberwise!

Timberwise were fantastic from start to finish. Nick who fitted all new joists, floorboards and installed 10 subfloor vents to our property was highly professional, efficient and meticulous in all work carried out. Timberwise and Nick were also extremely helpful with all my questions and jobs were booked in quickly ensuring all work was completed promptly.

Keith the surveyor came today regarding a damp issue in my garage. He thoroughly examined the area of concern both internally and externally and fully explained the issue recommending what needed to be done externally first and to then give a period of time for the area to dry out and if I then continued to have problems to contact Timberwise again for remedial works. I absolutely highly recommend Keith and Timberwise because good honest advice was given. Thank you so much because I am a single female pensioner and Keith has put my mind at rest.

Chris Walker, the surveyor was in my view excellent. He was knowledgeable, highly experienced, professional and gave us clear, intelligent advice on our property. We would certainly contact him in the future if we need any advice.

I sought a few surveys and quotes after discovery of a dry rot outbreak in my kitchen. Right from the off Lewis my surveyor in Leeds put me at ease. His knowledge experience and helpful advice, along with the company's longevity, 20 year guarantee, good T&Cs and dry rot expertise made it an easy choice. Lewis made a very stressful situation feel manageable. The workmen Mark and James were reliable and prompt and worked efficiently with professionalism. Also great comms with the planning team who shuffled work around to prioritise my job because I was so worried about it - wow! Overall an excellent experience with Timberwise in a difficult situation. I cannot recommend them enough. The price overall was affordable with the proposal they put together. Very happy.

Rodney, the surveyor, was very thorough and showed us anything that was to be addressed. Also helpful with questions afterwards. Ashley was very efficient and understanding when booking in the woodworm treatment. And top marks to Graham , who carried out the treatment, punctual and completed the job to a high standard, exaining all that was to be done. Took pride in his work. Would recommend.

Well what can I say other than don’t doubt this company.

Keith the managing surveyor from Timberwise Yeovil branch came to see me with a view to installing the osmosis system (or anything he suggested would be a solution.)
Fair to mention at this point I’d done several works that in my view had not worked. Spent a fortune on these so-called solutions from other trades people none solving the issue. All had no post work support.
Convinced my self I was sat on a river with no solution.

I heard about the osmosis system so found Timberwise.
He arrived on time and was a really nice person to boot. He listened carefully, not like something other trades had done, then asked if he could take readings of the walls.
He took damp readings in a number of places.
Imagine my shock when time after time the readings said no damp at all. I’d shown him the worst too.

Bless him he took time to explain my issue was salt and as my old walls were quite thick they needed time to stabilise. All I needed was patience.

He could have just sold me the system but he did not.

He put me first. He also suggested a remedy for a small wall that I had not done anything with in the short time I have been here. Again I just need time before that’s done.

So my experience of Kieth from Yeovil Timberwise is he is amazing. Timberwise are lucky to have him and def don’t pay him enough. I can’t speak for other employees but Kieth should do the training if they are not following his lead.

Yes the company did not make a sale on this occasion, but I will use them for that wall and any future work.

My neighbour asked how the appointment had gone as she has a really bad damp issue so I gave her his details and she’s going to get in touch, it’s a lot bigger job hers.
Rather proves the point that goodwill generates business, I def won’t recommend the previous builders who I actually paid. However Kieth I would not hesitate to and who did not charge me a penny.

His knowledge is truly amazing, and nice to boot.
