Timberwise we’re exceptionally helpful to us. Great customer service and provided some really useful advice about what was most appropriate to our propriety. They provided an assessment free of charge. I would highly recommend to others.

I contacted Timberwise as a friend had used them and said they had provided an excellent service. I had noted that an initial survey to inspect my flooring for woodworm, would be free of charge. Forrest and Barry from the Edinburgh office visited my property twice. They were punctual, friendly and easy to talk to. They carried out a thorough inspection of my flooring and were very professional at all times. I would absolutely use Timberwise again and highly recommend their services.

We used Timberwise for peace of mind to check timbers and potential damp around the chimney. Forrest Hamilton came out from the Edinburgh office and did a thorough inspection. He inspected the chimney / ceilings, went up the loft and inspected there taking photographs so my mum was able to see everything. From a ladder outside he was able to inspect flashings etc. then sat with mum and put her mind at ease, showing photos and explaining the moisture readings showed there was no cause for concern. In addition to this he advised on work that was needed by a roofer going forward. I was really impressed and grateful for his time and would have no hesitation on calling on Timberwise in the future.

Would not recommend this company. The surveyor told us one areas of damp was coming from outside but didn't know where from and didn't have any ladders to inspect or diagnose the issue. We are still no clearer on why we are getting damp. We paid upfront for this service and have been very disappointed and still don't have a report.

We are disappointed with the report given. We are still not aware of what the problem was. The report even stated that a full inspection wasn't done on the outside and roof. It is not the service or outcome we expected.

Forrest Hamilton from the Edinburgh Depot arrived at my house and gave an excellent survey and report as to how to deal with my loft condensation and mould problems in my house.

Agreed a time with the auditor to meet at the property as we wanted to hear the feedback there then. However, the auditor was inpatient to start earlier leading to misreporting. The surveying of the external building fabric was from the ground only. No use of a ladder or alternatives to view condition of the guttering and soffits. The quality of the report was disappointing and certainly not worth the £355. Area Oxford. Recommend you look elsewhere.

We are happy to recommend Timberwise for damp problems. The initial survey was thorough and well explained; the admin was efficient; the men appeared on time each day and protected the big furniture effectively; then cleared up after themselves. The technical side of the job seemed to done very professionally. We wait for a few weeks to check that all the damp has finally gone but it looks good two weeks in.
There may be cheaper firms, but we feel you get what you pay for with this team. Very satisfied by their attitude as well as the high standard of their work.

Had Timberwise north west out to survey damp around two chimney breasts. Graham Malpass was just brilliant - knew straight away what the issue was and what needed to be done.
Then sent a comprehensive survey and it was all free! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and the company. Top notch!

It was worrying to learn that there were active wood-boring insects on my property. Timberwise's survey explained clearly and in detail what the findings were and what the treatment would involve. On the day, Norman, who carried out the job, proved extremely professional and pleasant. He took great care of my belongings and endeavoured to minimise disruption.

I have zero respect and will never use a company that I am unable to contact. This company would not respond to any of my requests for a quote, so are now dead to me.
