I booked trains in China with TCG. It was fast and easy. Once I made a mistake and booked a wrong date – my mistake was immediately addressed, the trip cancelled and the money returned.

Beware of this company
Beware of this company. They will charge you monies for bookings, will not fulfill the booking and then will not refund the monies. DO NOT use them for train bookings etc unless you are ok with losing your monies.

You paid us USD40 on May 03, 2023 by Paypal and we made full refund to you on May 05. Paypal company confirmed that the refund was completed on May 05. If you paid with your credit card, then the refund will be returned to your card. Please double check your account, if you still haven't received it, please kindly let us know and we will contact Paypal company again to check the problems.
Tour of Xi'an and Terracotta Army
A highly enjoyable one-day tour of the Terracotta warriors and Xi'an City walls, as well as the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Muslim Quarter.
Everything was taken care of, and Susan was an excellent, thoughtful and knowledgeable guide.

Excellent, trouble-free service
I contacted Travel China Guide to help me arrange a private airport to train station transfer, train tickets between Kunming and Dali, and a 3-day solo custom private tour that included Lijiang, Xizhou, Shihgu, Yuhu, Shuhe, Baisha, Shaxi, and Tiger Leaping Gorge. Doris Chang was my contact and she was a star from the get-go: responsive, patient, professional, and thorough. Our pre-trip planning email communication was seamless. Once in China, we communicated by WeChat. Mike, my English-speaking airport to train transfer guide in Kunming was also great. Mike was friendly, professional, and made sure I got on the right train. Kevin was my Dali-based guide who took me around Xizhuo, Shaxi, and the Shizhonshan Grottoes. Alice, my Lijiang-based guide, took me around Lijiang, Yuhu, Shuhe, Shigu, and Tiger Leaping Gorge. Kevin and Alice were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. My private driver was also excellent. Travel China Guide delivered excellent, trouble-free service. I look forward to arranging future trips with Travel China Guide. Thank you!

We had an excellent experience booking a 2-day Xi'an Tour with Travel China Guide. The customer service was excellent, all questions were answered promptly, and our contact (Vera) worked to ensure that we were able to add items to our tour to tailor it to our specific wishes. Excellent trip with Travel China Guide
Great experience! Guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and were outstanding communicators. Itinerary was followed expertly. Tour was well organized with a variety of experiences and attractions. One highlight was the home-cooked lunch in a Chinese family's apartment. Very nice lady and a fabulous cook! Other experiences, choice of hotels and restaurants were all first rate. A couple that I wasn't too excited about in advance turned out to be fun and informative beating my expectations. My tour was a great way to learn about China's past and present! Very pleased with my trip!

Highly recommended tour.
My wife and I took a 2-day tour and visited the Leshan Buddha & Mt. Emei. Our guide Lisa and the driver were both very professional, knowledgable and shared very many interesting stories with us. The vehicle and the accommodations were very good as promised. We really enjoyed the tour, and later booked another tour with the same company in Xi'an. They also modified the pick up and drop off locations for us. I highly recommend this company!

A must if you are planning travel in China
Lexi was wonderful. She help me planned my China trip. We started from Beijing to Chengdu, then high speed train to Xi'an. She planned all of our daily tours. In each stop the driver and tour guide was professional, prompt and excellent in English. Took us to lunch at local restaurant which we will never find. I highly recommend them vs Viator or Expedia which is just a online booking site which provide no services.

Travel China is perfect for visitors…
Travel China is perfect for visitors unfamiliar with China
We used Travel China to book our train tickets from Beijing to Shanghai. The tickets were delivered to our hotel and we boarded our train without any problems or surprises.
We also booked one of Travel China's day tour of Beijing. We liked the small size of their tours, and their tour guide spoke English perfectly. Their driver fetched us from our hotel, took us to the Forbidden City, Panda Zoo, Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven all within one day, and dropped us back again at our hotel in good time.
We would be perfectly happy to use Travel China again if we visit China in future.

10 Wonderful days in China
We made a 10 days private tour in China with Travel China Guide, visiting Beijing, Shanghai, Yang Tze River Cruze and Xian. We had memorables moments, All guides were kind and very flexible with our demands, speaking perfect english and willing to show us all aspects about the places we visited. The perfect travel advisor
We've recently travelled to China with the valuable assistance of Travel China Guide. We organized our trip mostly as independent travelers, with the advice and support of Kelly, our designed travel advisor . Since the first consultation by mail when preparing the trip, she solved all the questions and doubts, and helped us to define the route, to get the train tickets and to book a 3-day Yangtsé river cruise. While traveling, we used the web to get information about city transport, restaurants and highlights to visit .

Their guides are great teachers!
I have used Travel China Guide Tours services two summers in a row and i have been impressed with the competence and expertise of the guides, but also with the guides' eagerness to teach their clients about China. I am a professional educator -- I teach history on a number of levels. So I am always looking to learn things that I can teach in turn. My two tours and my two tour guides gave me plenty of stories and insights that I use in my own classroom presentations. I listened to my guides and wondered just how many long hours of previous training and on-the-job experience were behind the seamless flow of knowledge and detail they offered. I have used Travel China Guide Tours in only one city, but should I get the opportunity to travel to China again, I am quite certain I will seek to use their services again.

Our Travel China Guide Tour was really great
Our trip was really great. Our experience before, during and even after the trip was most satisfying. Communication of all we wanted know such as itinerary, other internal travel and even electric fittings was efficiently handled. We were greeted on arrival at the airport and helped to secure our bullet train option to get back to Beijing from Xián. We found our two guides helpful and prepared to do extra (even wrote out some helpful Chinese for us) and were patient with our varied tour group. We were very comfortable with our dining and accommodation. The tour buses were comfortable and the drivers unintrusive.There were some surprises including the chair lift to the Great Wall and the Kung Fu Show. A nice "surprise" in Xián was the Tang dynasty music and dance show after a dumpling meal! Tai Chi and other activities in the City Wall Park were wonderful.I'll have to go back as I didn't quite master the use of chopsticks but we foreigners were usually provided with forks. When it came time to say Goodbye we were taken to a convenient spot for transport to the train station. Thank you Travel China Guide Tours for everything.
PS Our Guides even e mailed us some special photos after the trip.
