I wanted to actively participate in this site and therefore I created a blog, started inserting my journey step by step. I wrote an article and, as with all blog posts that can be found on the web, I put a useful link to a site that explores that topic. I was banned because I spammed (!!!). Would it be to blame for having inserted a link? All blog posts from around the world have RELEVANT links in their articles. If these paranoias are really that important and you see spam everywhere, eliminate the possibility of putting links. It's so difficult? Really great site. Be careful, you could be banned just for breathing!

Yes, we do take spammers seriously in our forum and have a low tolerance for any promotional content. I'm sorry your contributions were not considered in line with our policies.
Unfortunately my experience was awful. As it takes ages to complete really good profiles I thought I would skip to travel buddies forum and do a quick post to test whether like minded travellers were on the site so as not to waste my time. Omg....noone replied who wanted a buddy, just a heaps of patronising advice about covid Schengen rules etc I HADN'T ASKED FOR OR NEEDED. And when I explained I didn't need their advice they got upset and trolled me.

Hi Roz, I'm sorry you had this experience on our forums and got off on the wrong foot with the members of the site. I reviewed the thread in question - their intentions were not to upset you. I'm sorry it was taken that way.
I tried to book a room in Travellerspoint and I was so happy they are able to book me for my desired room. So I enjoyed staying by that time.
I've been a member on Travellerspoint for only 3 months but have so far been very impressed with every aspect of this travel forum.
In fact, I have reached out to several moderators in the forum with questions regarding their travel guides and both times I received very kind and very helpful responses. It is clear they take great pride in what they do.
I get the impression that many of the regular contributors on Travellerspoint take great pride in this forum, too. Everyone involved here does a great job and has a solid passion for travel and helping others - and that passion shows!
I am so happy I found this great community of fellow travellers.
