am absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of the manager/young lad in the trigger pond tonight. The way he was shouting and swearing at his staff was awful. The young girl with long brown hair in a ponytail has been running around like a headless chicken trying to get everything done while he sat on his backside drinking. The way he spoke to her and to the other young man was disgraceful. If this is how this pub is ran now i will not be returning. They need to get their act together as this pub is really going down hill.

visited 5/5/26 staff were very welcoming, the pub had a nice friendly feel about it, we had a light lunch all came in good time tasted lovely, plenty of it nice portion sizes.
We sat in the garden as the weather was nice, very pleasant. Parking behind pub too which was really handy in this small villiage.

The young staff on reception were lovely and attentive, who i would like to highly praise and the atmosphere nice. There was only 6 people in at the time we arrived, sadly my fish and my husbands southern fried hunters chicken were very over cooked.
Very disappointing considering it wasn't busy.

On the plus side the atmosphere, surroundings and staff were very nice. Unfortunately my medium steak was over done but the fish was good. Car park was very potholed, large puddles & muddy

No wonder they are offering 40 % off.
Cold kebab meat with undercooked chips accompanied by flat Pepsi max.

I know you are a dog friendly pub and we love bringing our dog with us, who lays down on the floor.
I appreciate you have made changes and provided dog blankets but some people are still letting their dog on the chairs without blankets and even worse letting them on the tables. I'm sure you agree this is not acceptable as this is where your customers eat their food.

Great pub, regularly come for a meal and drink, staff great, highly recommend.

Triggerpond has made a move backwards unfortunately. Booked for a birthday meal. New menu is minimal and food not as good as before re amount and choice. It's a shame because it was a lovely place. Staff were pleasant enough but not as our last visit in 2024. How such a drastic change can happen is beyond me. Noticed also that it wasn't as busy as it used to be since our last visit which was obvious when we entered at that time on a Sunday. Perhaps the changes are speaking for themselves. Why they changed a winning pub is beyond me. Won't be going back until we see a change reflected in its reviews. Sad that this change is such an absolute failure.

What a lovely welcome on a cold wet evening. Friendly cheerful and helpful staff, beautiful meal reasonably priced in a calm pleasant environment with decent background music service charge added already so no worries about how much tip to leave. Would definitely recommend and will return on next visit to Bicester.

Beautiful building and location but the service was slow and half of our lunch order came out several minutes after some of the party received their lunch, which was disappointing. Not sure that the 12% service charge added to the bill was deserved and wish I had challenged it at the time but I felt unable to at the time as it was very busy. Very unlikely to return.

Lovely staff, so friendly, Sian cooks fabulous food! would reccomend!
