It is very disheartening to see what appears to be a lack of commitment to sustainability in Truworths' delivery practices. My single order has been split into nearly seven separate deliveries, each containing only one or two items. This approach results in unnecessary packaging waste, increased plastic use, and a significantly larger environmental footprint. It is also inconvenient from a customer perspective.... this is what I sent Truworths, and here is their response: "our items are sourced from our stores. If the items are located at different stores, they will be delivered in separate parcels via our courier. We understand your frustration and appreciate your concerns. However, to ensure your order is fulfilled as efficiently as possible, items are sourced from the stores where stock is currently available. We appreciate your understanding and patience."

Firstly they should allow us to review their products online. I purchased a few things after years of not buying from them. One of those things were underwear and they are expensive i would like to add but the bum shorts and bras's i got the material is okay but the stitching is horrible, all the under wear stitches are coming off. I have an account with Truworths and have had one frustration after another. Firstly wasn't issued with a card when opened my account, since then every time I go into a store to get in told they have no cards.
I order online. When I have ordered several items they arrive in drips and drabs sometimes weeks later.
I have paid up my account every month, May was due on the 5th. I paid it on the 1st but mistakenly put my old account number as a reference. Today being only the 14th of May I have recieved 4 pressing small and an email from collections. Since when do you turn someone onto collections 9 days after a payment is due? What kind of aggressive nonsense is this. I have already been hit up with R77 interest and they're demanding my June payment. I have spoken to collections and customer service and sent the pop twice. They're claiming I R1807.74 when it was R901.77 and the R905.97 is only due on the 5th June. To add insult to injury there's a huge red stamp across it saying overdue. The statement is already threatening a bad credit record. The invoice was requested if you don't log into the app online you don't even know what's owing. TERRIBLE COMPANY AS SOON AS MY ACCOUNT IS PAID UP I'M CLOSING IT!!!!

I purchased the 50ml BVLGRI for my brother as a birthday gift. He tried the tester in the shop and he didn't take to it. I tried returning it and they wouldn't let me because in the system it says that I received a 5ml as a gift which I didn't. I told the staff that I am prepared to pay for the 5ml so that I am not stuck with a R2200 bottle. They refused. Is this how truworths treat their customers. I will definitely be closing my account. I was absolutely disgusted with the treatment and returned the 2 additional bottles which I had purchased.

Only at Truworths do you pay R400 for a pair of jeans that looks like it has pockets but it doesn't. Only at Truworths do you pay R1500 for a jacket that looks like it has inner pockets but it doesn't. They are way overpriced for the quality they offer. It is more about the look than it is about functionality. In-store service is very good but their online system is outdated and online staff are rude. I'm closing my account, life is too short to suffer like this :)
Truworths Monte Casino Bad Service
I was at Truworths Monte Casino on Sunday last week. I want to buy a dress which marked as a sale on with the sale tag on when I went to the till point the male store supervisor said I can't get the sale price as the sale is over I was very upset at the way I was treated as the sale tag was clearly on the item.
He refused to tell me his name and was very mean to me together with the lady at the till point. He was very sarcastic and I the customer has the right to pay the price marked on the item.

I dont have the item I paid for and they sent me something very different, because the watch I purchased is not in their inventory but the online store it was available, that to me seems like false advertising.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Truworths for trusting me with an account and supporting customers like myself. Your decision to give me this opportunity has played a big role in helping me build my credit score and strengthen my financial journey.
Just today, I received a call from another company (let’s call them MP) that had previously rejected me. Now that they see my credit score improving, they suddenly offered me an account. I refused them and reminded them that true customer loyalty comes from standing by people from the beginning, not only when the numbers look good. They could learn a lot from Truworths’ customer recruitment and retention model.
Truworths, thank you again for believing in me and for setting the standard in how customers should be treated.

This company put me in an arrears after my accounts was paid for and now have me running up and down constantly redirecting me to call this and that person and still nothing.
I could have paid over the counter even though I didnt know what I was paying for but even though I still got redirected.

If there was a zero rating would have rated them.Manager Newo on duty dated 29 December 2025 says they short staff and can't do anything about the long lines people are standing in.There is only 1 cashier. Manager says she can't do anything about that. But she was in the new perfume department and it was about 4 staff from Truworths that was busy testing perfume on their clothing. Poor service and that's what BEE has done to our beautiful store's. Nobody cares anymore about customers.The lady at perfume department says there's nothing that we can do about short staff.

I'm very disappointed at the treatment and shame I experienced at Earthchild east rans mall. I went to collect my online order o323500578, I showed the lady at the till the order message for my order number and she asked for my ID which I explained to her I did not have my ID with me and that I always collect my orders in store and I have never been asked for my ID. I then asked her if I can show her my ID copy from my phone. She took my phone and check the ID. She then wear to check for my parcel and on her way she was busy assisting other customers and I asked another lady if she mind to attend to my parcel as the other lady is now busy with other customers. The lady that was supposed to be checking for my parcel responded rudely that what must she do because those other customers are on her way so she must assist them. While checking she is busy chit chatting with the manager and laughing. I observed and just decided to keep quiet but the service is disheartening and unprofessional especially at a busy weekend like black Friday. The reason one buys online is because you don't want to experience staff attitude and waiting unnecessary. She then came with the parcel and as I opened the parcel I realized that the bag was too small to use for a grade 5 learner.i then asked to exchange or return it to a bigger bag for school. She called her manager to authoriser. Who came and they continued to chit chat and laugh and make jokes while I'm waiting. They asked me for a carf and I explained I used a virtual card, I was then asked for an actual card. I asked the manager of the payment will reflect immediately as I needed to use the money. She said it will only reflect after a day. I asked her why does it take that long to receive a refund but when I pay it's instant. I was from work and was wearing my work uniform. She then responded by saying but why when it's my work company they take long to refund them. I asked her what does she mean regarding my work company is it because she is shaming me as a customer for the fact that im wearing my work uniform? She continued and continued to be rude and disrespectful at me. I have never been so embarrassed wearing my work uniform by a person who is in the service industry. The staff does not have name badges worse. I had to ask her for her name. Her name is Mpho. I request a formal apology from Mpho for shaming the company I work for just because I went shopping wearing my work uniform before I take this further. I will not be buying from Earth child east rand mall after this bad experience. I will escalate this matter if it is not resolved. The staff needs training and coaching on now to carry themselves at work and how to address customers professionally.

Decided to buy from Truworths after at least 10 years of avoiding the store. What a big mistake. I bought twice online only to have my order cancelled after they verified me telephonically and i also couldnt purchase in store. How pathetic! Will close the account and will not be back after this. They dont even have the decency to respond to complaints of which there are many on hellopeter
