Not good at all.

Our antique drop-dial was serviced and repaired, but then kept stopping. I had to set the pendulum going by hand about 20 times a day for about a month, and it finally got going again. But the damage to the pendulum - the initial problem - was not properly repaired.

Secondly, an elderly relative had an anniversary clock, also taken by Nathan for servicing - it has never run for more than a few minutes since without stopping!

It's hard to believe they ran these clocks and made sure they worked before returning them.

We own (and love!) 3 antique clocks, but, being so old, of course they become problematic - irregular, faulty or non-starters. Some repairers are quite snooty about which clocks they want to deal with (i.e. 'expensive ones only!), and some have 'iffy' reputations. So we were pleased to find ukclock repairs, and even though they were MILES away, Jason called and collected/delivered all 3 clocks. Pricing was competitive. Ok, that first repair didn't hold up so well, (these are ancient pieces!) but he cheerfully took away and repaired again, no quibble.
THAT is the mark of a good firm to deal with.
Jason is truly an expert - good comms, on time, and a gentleman throughout. Highly recommended.

On August 2nd 2021 I took my 100 yr old 8 day carriage clock which had run for many years without fault, to U K Clock Repairs for a service and clean. I collected it 3 weeks later, took it home fully wound it and set the time, when I was winding it I noticed the whole clock inside the case was loose this had never been before. The clock ran for about 3 days then stopped, I got it going by winding it a turn with the key but after this it only chimed once on the hour. And would only run for 3 days, (I took it back ) I collected it 4 weeks later in the morning about 10-15 am by 12 o clock it had stopped and kept stopping at 12 o clock every time , (I took it back) I collected it 3 weeks later about 10-15am took it home wound it and set the time it chimed OK at 11 and 12 but at 1 o clock it chimed 3 times. At this point I thought if this is how its to be, ill live with it, but then it frequently stopped at 1 o clock as well. Every time I had this clock back ( 3 times ) there was a different fault with it. If you cannot check a clock for faults how can you repair them, these clocks are not meant to be pulled apart like this continually. I will never take this clock back to them again, I am afraid of it being ruined I contacted another clock repair service explained my problem took it to them, they fixed the problem in 15 minutes while I stood and watched. The clock runs great now.

Nathan collected my very sick 19th century bracket clock from my home in Cardiff and returned it some weeks later in fully working order. This was not a straightforward repair but he is so knowledgeable and skilled and I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Absolutely amazing, nothing was too much for Nathan, such a lovely man with a gift for repairing the most intricate clocks, would highly recommend and use for any other repairs or services I need in the future
