I had a booking for electrical grounding work and took a day off work specifically for the appointment. The engineers came, checked the meter, said something there did not match what they expected, and then left saying they would return later the same day.

Nobody came back and I received no update afterwards. I basically wasted an entire day for nothing. Very disappointing service and communication.

Terrible company. I am a meter engineer and called in an A code. Waited at site for over 6 hours (in 25c heat) for an engineer to arrive. No calls or updates from them. I had to chase them constantly, only to be told they have no resources available.

Both the customer service and engineer were friendly and professional. They advised me of the options and ensured I understood the process.

In our recent incident, you were very good at confirming our problems and keeping us updated on progress. However there was one issue that stopped a 5 star rating. We called you three times. The first time we had a power cut. But once power had been restored, the next two calls were about our light bulbs being dim. While you were still aware of an ongoing issue, you failed to tell us we were suffering low voltage. As a result, both us and our neighbour bought new toasters, thinking they were broken. But once full voltage was restored, the toasters were working normally.

I recently completed 2 meter moves and a new connection, all on the same day. UKPN were absolutely brilliant. Mike was my contact for site visits and planned the scheme. I am a homeowner with little knowledge of electrical anything. Mike could not have been any more helpful. He attended site whenever I needed without any further cost. (Unlike other utilities who charge for every visit) He planned everything with a view to helping me keep costs down, hence all 3 on the same day. I could not have completed the work without his help.. exceptional service. Claire in the office was also really helpful, and kept in touch throughout the process and was always available on the phone when I needed help. Overall my experience was amazing. I can not think of anything negative (unlike my experiences with other utilities) I would personally recommend them to anyone. They made the job(s) seamless and stressful free. Finally the team on move/connection day were all so good. Mike was there to oversee (as was an inspector) and everything went smoothly. I am very happy with the whole team, the work completed and the assistance provided throughout the whole process!!! Thank you

From the initial report of our electrical problem (all power lost due to an external UKPN part at fault), the engineer visiting to the guys starting and completing the external works their service was first class. Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional and extremely efficient. Thank you.

Excellent Service from everyone dealing with our issue.
We lost all power at my house. I found out it wasn't in our house, and they quickly sent someone around. They had to dig up outside our house to find the fault. But we had power back in 28 hours. And the hole was filled and the tarmac completed in 3 days. They even jetwashed the area.

Had a few teams of men here over a few days to sort the problem, couldn’t fault any of them, all very polite & kept me inform of what they were doing.

Kept us informed on the situation, efficiently dealt with the problem,good support throughout.

Our area of S.E. London had an unexpected power cut this morning. It only lasted a very brief time but I almost immediately I received a text message from UK Power Networks apologising for any inconvenience and explaining what had caused the fault and what they had done to rectify/repair this. What an impressive service. More companies could learn from their excellent customer support. Makes us feel we are valued. BIG thank you to the team involved.

UK Power Networks were extremely helpful in keeping us updated regularly. Their staff were friendly and polite and understood the difficulties we had without power for so long. If they didn't call us we would get text messages with the updates. Cannot fault their customer service.

After losing power to my house and contacting them I received a phone call within 10 minutes. An engineer arrived an hour later and identified the problem and the repair team fixed the fault quickly once they arrived.

Very professional, kept up to date with everything that was happening from start to finish. All the staff were very friendly and efficient and always on hand to answer any questions. It is a pity more company's do not conduct there customers services to such a high standard.

Engineer came approximately one hour from notifying loss of power, it was a dark evening, and had put the fault right within the next hour

I moved into the Essex area four years ago and I have never lived anywhere that has so many power cuts. Absolutely ridiculous! Yesterday a power cut, today a six hour planned cut and tonight another unplanned cut. If I ran my business this way I'd be bankrupt.

UK Power Networks were excellent and we couldn’t praise them highly enough.
We reported the issue at about 6:45pm and by 8:30pm, a technician came out to check our connection. He quickly identified the problem and called for a Linesmen team to replace the connection point at the top of one of the poles in our drive way.
The Linesmen team arrived at about 10:30pm with a mobile Cherry Picker to mend the broken connection. After checking the Risk Assessment procedure, the Team fixed the problem and restored our power.
The whole process from the initial phone call with Ernest to the successful completion of the connection, was extremely easy and completely seamless. The Power Network colleagues who dealt with the issue were outstanding! To a person they were polite, personable and very professional. I can’t thank them enough!
