The first carpet was fitted by the…
The first carpet was fitted by the fitter and was only just big enough although measured by United carpets themselves.
The second carpet was brought and was well short for the room it was being fitted (again measured by themselves)
This meant that the fitting could t take place and the carpet need reordering which led to the furniture being put back in the room and then having to be removed for a second time along with having to arrange another appointment

Very helpful friendly staff
Very helpful, friendly staff with no pushy sales which made for a happier visit, resulting in a purchase where I was able to leave a deposit and pay the rest once I ready for booking an installation date. When this came around the fitter was lovely and efficient whilst being thorough. More than happy with the result.

Salesperson were very good
Salesperson were very good
But who came to fit doesn't want to do it everything. The top landing is supposed to have an L-shaped metal part. I have purchased it but the fitter said that doesn't fit there, he did not do anything for that. Still it is not sorted.

Bought a new bed and mattress about 3…
Bought a new bed and mattress about 3 months ago at Mansfield branch, sales lady was excellent, we told her our needs (my bad back issues) and she pointed us out to a mattress she said she has for her bad back, we tried the mattress for a couple of minutes, it felt fine, 3 months down the line, my back is a lot worse and to top it off, my Mrs now has a bad back through the mattress, we were hoping that our bodies would adjust to the new mattress but we just ache more and more everyday

Carpet is amazing, shame about the fitters work ethic
Carpet is amazing quality and looks really good.
Would have been 5 stars if the fitter hadn’t left halfway through for a doctors appointment only to return FOUR hours later.
I tend to arrange my personal life around work not during the working day but maybe that’s just me and my customer focussed values.
He also kept his outdoor shoes on, yet every other contractor seems to be able to grasp the remove shoes concept. Especially on a new cream carpet.

Great quality & good service.
We have ordered carpets from United Carpets at Mansfield over the years and have always received good service from helpful staff. The carpets have lasted well. More recently we have had vinyl floor fitted, it looks great, really good quality. The fitter, Martin, worked quickly and cleared away the remnants. The kitchen looks amazing. Thankyou.

VERY pleased from start to finish
VERY pleased from start to finish. So helpful, yet not pushy at all. There if I needed help. Came out the same day to look at my flooring and measure up. Gave very good advice. Came on the day and time stated to fit my flooring. Fitters were very good, and I was more than pleased at the finish! Thank you United Carpets. I won't be using anyone else.

Great service from United Carpets all round. Friendly helpful service in store and the same from the fitters. The fitters called before hand to arrange a time and were very efficient, clean, and tidy. The fitters asked us what we wanted doing and were a pleasure to deal with. No proper management at this store regarding the fitters.
I shouldn’t fill this in really a terrible experience! But it’s another case of managers not doing there jobs they are paid for.
The store people in Mansfield are great- a family atmosphere, but that’s where it ends.
When the fitters arrived I was polite & pleasant to them but they all seemed as though they didn’t want to be here it was hard to get anything more than a yes or no from them my questions where mainly I was answered with a shrug of the shoulders.
Out of the 3 that turned up there was only one I think the actual fitter than showed any willing I wouldn’t pay the others in bent washers.
When the carpet was fitted I gave the fitter £10 as a thank you “I wish I hadn’t”
My wife is terminally ill & I have a type of blood cancer meaning I have little mobility but I found lumps of carpet had been thrown into the adjoining bedroom, the landing, and the bathroom? Why? I had to struggle bringing down not only 1 off the two off cuts but two half bags of “carpet lumps” hidden behind the bed so I had to vac 3 rooms.
As for the fitting is 42 strands sticking up from the gripper area acceptable which I had to cut off.
I won’t mention the lack of uniform or the very casual dress sense but this showing wouldn’t I would have thought done anything for the corporate image of the company.
I have spent many thousands at this store on beds and carpets using Gary as a fantastic guide on your products but I personally having been in business many years wouldn’t employ these people due to the above reasons.
It’s a great shame these “fitters” have destroyed that relationship - I won’t use this company again.
As said earlier there seems to be no proper management in place allowing this to be, I have in the past had some great workmanship from proper tradesmen from this store sadly this was not the case- a bad experience!
