Awful carpet fitting
The carpets great. The fitting is awful. Paint scraped of a freshly painted skirting board, a freshly painted wardrobe had a chunk knocked off as it was hit when the fitter hit it eith one if the doors he removed and told me he should be charging me extra for doing it, refused to fit the carpet upto the one in the boiler cupboard and just laid it over the top and has glued the carpet to the brand new underlay so I'll have to buy new underlay again when the carpets replaced and the fitting in some parts is awful. The solution send the same fitter back. No thanks here's your review, I'll email your head office and never use you again.

Happy with carpets, just be careful with sales people.
Ordering was pretty straight forward. We had stairs, landing & hallway carpeted and a vinyl floor fitted. We were told by the sales guy to screw down plywood over the floor boards so it was flat to fit the vynil.
The carpet fitter arrived and said he can’t put the flooring down over the screws , they would have to be taken out and stapled and charged an extra £15 on top of what we’d already paid. Called United Carpets and conveniently the sales guy ‘was out at the moment but will call back’! Never called. I called UC customer service who said they would call the branch to get him to call us, again didn’t happen.
We weren’t bothered about trying to get a refund, but wanted to talk to him about the incorrect info he had given us.
The fitter was polite & friendly and just got on with the job.
Just your sales person let you down UC!

Great job
Fitters were friendly, polite and considerate and did a great job, the only reason for 4 stars is that what was quoted as a 2 day job, turned out to be 6 day job meaning we had to re arrange and reorganise other aspects of the job. The job ended up costing a lot more as things like levelling flooring from one space to another and finish of the flooring edges weren’t taken into consideration when the job was first assessed and quoted!

The ordering of the carpet was a good experience, I did go down first thing next morning and changed the colour,the salesman was very helpful, 2weeks later the carpet was fitted, unfortunately there's a Fault with the carpet, and I think 2 different shades of grey, But I have decided to live with it, good luck with your purchase

Amazing experience
Easily dealt with over the phone, ordered a few samples came within a couple of days. Chose one spoke to them then booked it all in, the guys came out to fit it wasn’t here very long. Did an amazing job and very chatty. Would reccommened to anyone!

Went in store paid in full for front…
Went in store paid in full for front room and hall cost over 700 and was told fitting would be £40 per room, I told them I only wanted fitting in front room and will do hall myself, they then phoned me £30 mins before the fitting man was turning up to tell me I either pay for both rooms to be fitted which would actually cost £100 and not £40 when I said I don’t want both only front room they then said they will charge me £70 for delivery.. I panicked and didn’t know what to do, I’m a single parent and disabled I had to phone a friend for extra money so I just paid the £100 to the fitting man as it would of been cheaper than paying the extra for delivery and I would get my hall done, I told the lad on the phone who took my order in store that this was totally unacceptable and if this would of been the case I wouldn’t of went there in the first place, they said it was free delivery and £40 per room for fitting, he told me the people was already on the way and I have to pay either way.. I would recommend people to stay well clear from this place i got my bedroom carpet from the same place the year before and only paid the £40 and no delivery which is why I went back for my front room
