Disappointing experience and aggressive debt collection tactics
We had a payment dispute regarding a flooring order. After initially recalling a payment via my credit card, we decided to proceed and I formally requested my bank to reverse the recall. I updated the owner, on March 24th, 2026, confirming the bank was processing the return of the funds.
Despite being kept informed, the owner’s tone became highly aggressive. I was threatened with legal action, CCJs, and enforcement officers if the money wasn't received within 48 hours—despite this being a banking process out of my direct control. My bank has advised that these threats are a form of intimidation for a second payment.
The lack of patience and the hostile nature of the text messages were deeply unprofessional. I have reported the harassment to the police and would advise others to be cautious of the aggressive management style here.

Dear Mr Brown, as you are aware your flooring has been fully installed to your satisfaction and payment for the goods which we have supplied remains outstanding. I am very sorry that you feel our asking for payment of the goods which we have supplied to you in good faith constitutes bullying, however, as you are aware asking for payment of goods after they have been supplied is the norm in any standard retail contract.

Very helpful staff
Lisa, Martin and Jonny are very helpful. Lisa came to measure up and to discuss what happens re fitting etc. I then went down to the store to pick the laminate I wanted and to arrange fitting. I'm really pleased with the end result and even though I had a couple of queries the guys in the shop were fantastic in sorting them out for me. Rang me when they said they would so I didn't have to contact them again. Nothing was too much trouble and I very much appreciated their help!

The man in the sales room was friendly…
The man in the sales room was friendly and non- pushy. The purchase was easy. The carpet fitters were wonderful. The ONLY thing that wasn’t great is that the carpet fitters couldn’t take the old carpet away.

Be honest
Be honest. Remove the carpet that has expired or that is not good from the shop or advise your customer otherwise. You have almost all the house measurement in your computer. Don't lie or manipulate the measurements just to extort money. For a room not up to eight square metres you charged three times the money on top of the you sent a lady to come and measure the house you carpeted twice when she came she is still trying to manipulate the measurements for more money. She stood up and throw the tap half and half and said oh it is more,you have to pay more.
The lady at the reception is not trustworthy. She should learn how to deal with customer.
How did come the charge if you don't know the measurements.
You are not to trusted about anything.

Dear Judith Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback, we are very disappointed to see that you are unhappy with the service your received. However, upon speaking with the store we feel there are a couple of points that we would like to clarify in your review. When you came into the store, you had measurements with you, but requested that the store came to double check those measurements, which they did. During that visit the store Director showed you that your measurements were short, however as a gesture of good will she honoured the original cost (using the shorter measurements) for your order and did not charge you for the extra carpet. The carpet you originally chose is ordered from overseas and you were informed that this would take 10 days to arrive in the country. After 4 days, you came into store and stated that you did want to wait 10 days, so chose a different carpet that was in stock (again, at no additional cost) and had your carpet fitted shortly after.
Delivering excellent customer service is very important to us, and on the rare occasion that we do not reach those standards we go over and above to rectify any issues. However, given the upgrade, change of flooring, swift fitting and communication which has been delivered throughout your order we do feel that there is nothing more that could have been done to complete your order in a professional and timely manner. It is therefore disappointing to see a 1-star review. I hope that the above gives clarity to some of the issues you mentioned in your feedback.
