Beyond all expectations which were high. Perfect size, colour and feel, incredibly robust impression and a very curious and very happy young person even more interested in reused resources. Very very good value for money.

Well made bag and delivery as fast as anyone could hope for.

Sole critical comment is that the way the strap is attached to the bag (the angle of attachment) works for a waist worn bag but is not comfortable for an over the shoulder bag.

After 30 years of cycling in London for work, struggling on with the rubbish canvas panniers I’d always had where my clothes would get wet in the rain despite the ‘waterproof’ over cover, I thought it about time I invest in a decent pannier.

I spent a long time researching different ones, I even bought one leading brand and sent it back because it just wasn’t quite right.

Then I came across UPSO and was struck by the funky designs and how sturdy looking they were. When I read that they are made from recycled truck tarp and fire hoses, I was hooked!

I wrote to them asking if any of their panniers had a pocket as I felt this was the one aspect they lacked. I got a speedy response explaining they don’t do pockets in the panniers so I decided I’d get a top bar bag to go with a pannier, which I felt would make up for the lack of pocket and would be a great solution to short journeys when you just need keys and phone.

But when I came to order, the bag I’d had my eye on had sold! I wrote again asking when more bags would be uploaded as the one I liked had gone. To my amazement, they replied immediately asking which one I’d liked as they could make another from the same tarp. And what’s more, they would do a top bar bag to match!

I could not believe my luck. How lovely and accommodating of them! As I had said that the addition of a pannier pocket might be something they could consider in the future, I was further shocked to be invited to speak to the seamstress to discuss options! I had a lovely chat with Debbie who agreed to add a front pocket for a small additional fee.

I was absolutely bowled over by the responsive and accommodating approach of this team. Finding a company that treated me like an individual, listened to my feedback and accommodated my requests was - in today’s world - surprising, remarkable and heart warming.

When my bags arrived, I didn’t know what to expect as I had essentially bought with the exact design unseen. It could have been a disaster… but no! The bags were SOOO much more beautiful than I had expected! And matching too! I couldn’t wait to show them off. Everyone at work had heard me squealing with excitement over how lovely UPSO were to deal with. Probably thought I was mad, but were then very impressed when I presented my new bags! All my friends who cycle have said they’re jealous of my bag set and want some for themselves. I’ve even been stopped in the street to be asked where I got them.

To have got a bespoke, unique set of bike bags that tick all the practical boxes as well as the aesthetic ones for just £125 the pair was astounding. They’ve not had to withstand a torrential downpour - yet - but I feel completely confident that my clothes and laptop will be safe and dry when that time comes.

The pannier is roomy enough for all my stuff: I carry emergency waterproofs for my legs and feet, lunch in a Tupperware, a change of clothes, laptop and diary. The pocket houses my spare battery and cables. I could fit my phone in it but as the material is so robust with not much give, it’s a bit of a squeeze. I much prefer the phone in the top bar bag now anyway. I’ve never had one of these before and I love it. I can fit my phone (I have an iPhone mini but it also fits my son’s iPhone 11 Pro), along with keys, some tools I use for work and my bike lights. The attachment on the back of the pannier is secure, locks into place and releases in one motion when I pull the top strap to remove it from the bike. It s also stands up on its own, tall and proud!

I love these bags, this company and the ingenious reuse of such hardy materials. A definite gleaming five stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have several UPSO bags - the fantastic Tebay Top Tube Bag, a Medway messenger bag and a small Potters pannier. All are very well made and really useful. Customer service is excellent- after several years when the zip handle on my Tebay bag broke I contacted UPSO to see if I could buy a spare part - they sent me the replacement part for free.
