I would strongly advise caution when dealing with this garage.
After purchasing a vehicle for £14,700, faults became apparent almost immediately, with the car covering only around 200 miles before issues arose. Despite raising this promptly, the handling of the situation has been extremely disappointing.
Communication has been poor throughout. The vehicle was taken back for inspection/repair, however updates have been minimal to non-existent, and I have had to repeatedly chase for information. At the time of writing, I am still without the vehicle and without any clear timeline for resolution.
I have already incurred additional costs attempting to address the issues and have been left without a car, causing significant inconvenience.
While I appreciate that faults can occur with any vehicle, the real issue here is the lack of communication, delay, and overall handling of the situation.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this garage.

Watch out when buying cars from them! Bought a car a while back. They were unable to give me any history of the vehicle despite it being damaged claiming they just noticed it. I was told the car has brand new tyres fitted only to notice that the tyres were from 2017, 2014, and 2021. Also MOT of the vehicle was done on the day, passed the MOT with no advisories but turns out the wipers and wiper fluid were not working and had to be replaced which should have been picked by MOT but go figure its done by the garage next door. When contacted about the issue as it should be covered by the insurance they provide I was told that they can only cover it if done in house.
The most stereotypical cars salesmen you will ever see, Avoid!

I bought a 2003 Nissan Micra from SJH Used Cars using all my savings, just to have something reliable for work. Barely a month later, the car broke down. When I called the owner for help, he was extremely rude and told me I “took my chances” on a 20-year-old car and that his garage only supports customers who spend £10k or more. This is not how a decent business should treat people. If they don’t stand by the cars they sell, they should be honest about it. Please avoid this place, especially if you’re on a budget.

What a cowboy dealership. Staff are unbelievably rude, swearing across a forecourt at a woman who was sold a 'DVLA deemed scrap car' that is not road legal. Ironic that the place is called 'Family Cars' I wonder what Rich's family think of the way he talks to customers, women in particular. AVOID like the plague. They do not inform customers that once you part-exchange your car you will continue to pay the tax for the next customer as they never transfer ownership. Claimed that documents were being kept in the bosses house.... smells like a GDPR issue. If you want a reliable car from an honest dealership keep looking.

I bought my first car from here- ideal customer. Clueless 17 year old who doesn’t know much about cars. On my way back from the dealership there was white smoke coming from the exhaust even though the car had “no issues” We sent it back after a couple weeks of the owner not returning our calls. Which he then re MOTd (printed off from under his desk) not official at all. Which he then said we’ve replaced the catalytic converter which suprised me as the car itself didn’t perform any better. Within 5 weeks it was blowing white smoke and I’ve broken down needing the car scrapped as a cylinder blown. Also there was two sets of number plates with a new one screwed in over the top which makes me think it’s stolen. Cheers for the sh*t car guys.

I found a Picasso c3 online and checked the specifications. I then spoke to Jayne and Trevor but although the firm prefer a purchaser to test drive a prospective vehicle, they would deliver if necessary.

It arrived by low loader truck that evening. Close inspection proved it to be exactly as specified; in show room condition.

My thanks to Jayne and Trevor for their help and patience, answering all my queries in a relaxed and friendly manner. I cannot fault them or the vehicle. Well done. I thoroughly recommend the firm. 😊

DO NOT USE! Price is lower in the add, they make you pay more for a warranty that does nothing on a car that’s possibly fit for scrap as it’s too dangerous to drive, just check their Facebook page. The company is trading illegally. They are going to have a death on their hands the way they’re going. Avoid like the plague because once you leave the garage with your scrap, you can’t ever contact them again. Their real name is hanham family

The dealer try to make you. The available cars are god for max 100 miles. After that you spend more time in service that on the road.
the price is always bigger than advertised.
is not recommended to buy anything from them at all.
The warranty they give is as good as nothing due to Ts and Cs.

My niece found herself a little car here, was reasonably priced and fair condition. They promised it would have been recently serviced and also that it would come with warranty. It hasn’t had any services for a very long time. She broke down a couple of months later but she was assured that it be fine as she had warranty. Nope. Literally not worth the paper it’s written on. I wouldn’t recommend buying here. They tell you what you want to hear for a sale.

Worst car dealer I have ever had the misfortune to deal with, please please please do not deal with HANHAM FAMILY CARS, do not hand any money over to these cowboys as they lie and sell dangerous cars, if you do go with them check your paperwork as they will try to sell you a warranty that is not worth the paper its wrote on, I cannot express how much they will rip you off and then withhold the money you have paid! Trading standards are now dealing with my case as they are falsely advertising cars with incorrect mileage so none of the checks are being done and then the owner completely rips you off, PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!

These People are also called HANHAM FAMILY CARS have nothing to do with them saw a car a few months ago a z4 advertising on Auto trader I paid a £200 deposit and told them I would pick up the car when I return from holiday. They were fine with this. Returned from holiday traveled to Bristol to pick up the car and was called and told it was not ready but would be the next week I agreed the next week came. I was told again no car it was being worked on I was given excuses parts not in.. Every day I called it was an excuse. I asked for bosses number I was given another excuse. After a few months of being patient with them and calling them each day about the car i decided after discussing with them about the return of my deposit I could have no problem. I called for the return of my deposit only to be given excuses now the virus has kicked in they are now trying to use that as an excuse saying I have to wait three weeks until they are open again which I said I am not prepared to do as it would be another excuse and demand the return of my £200.00 deposit which is not a lot so they can return it. Another excuse given which I was not prepared to except. I suspect they are a bunch of cowboys operating under different names DO NOT USE THEM they are unprofessional tell lies and do not contact their customers and do not care. To date I still have not had the return of my funds but I will as they shall not get away with this and me waiting for three weeks with some silly excuse. It should be no problem for them to return my deposit so I can cease being involved with these bunch of cowboys.

Awful experience, with the most appalling after sales service. Do not buy a car from this dealer. The sales guy was good but if you buy a car he passes you to the manager who is aggressive and even shouted at me in front of my young son who was in tears after. They fobbed me off for 3 months saying they were looking at a replacement car and did not offer one single solution. Then offered to buy the car back minus 30%. The lack of customer care I will never forget and it was a really stressful experience. I would never buy from this dealer.

I have never experienced such a poor customer service. I bought car from them via Autotrader with no fees. They tried to charge me a admin fee of £199. Autotrader ad didn't say anything about that admin fee so I have told them that this is misselling and I walked away then suddenly they waved off that admin fee. If you ever approach seller named Jordan just walk away or ask for another seller, but best for you if you don't don't choose them in the first place. I don't know what he was doing in the past for job but he is definitely not a car seller. Promised me to phone me regarding confirmation of the deposit and he didn't. He made arrangements with me for paying the remaining balance and collect the car - he was sitting in from to me checking his diary when I saw upside down that he was off on both them days but he told me he is working. And red haired Mr Manager also had a bad attitudes as someone was mentioning on Google reviews. I drove there twice from north of the country 3 hrs each way each time and I wasn't offered glass of water or cuppa. I was buying car for £15k. Such a shame. I have to admit that them website look very professional and misleading but personally I think they should invest in staff training. AVOID AND DON'T BE SOFT AND DON'T PAY ANY ADMIN FEES IF BOUGHT FROM AUTOTRADER!!!

Rob the sales guy was a really good bloke. I would certainly make sure that you check the car as there were a few undisclosed things like dings etc.. The company however treated me like absolute trash after I had bought the car. The manager is rude and horrible to deal with!!!! I would never ever buy a car from them again. The manager even had the cheek to tell me that I he did not care about me as a customer. He threatened to call the police on me if I left a bad review !!! So here it is.

Oh I forgot to add that I almost did not make it to the petrol station once I had bought the car. Surely one could put some diesel in a car!!

Buyer Beware. Car i was watching price drop by £470 on Monday 18/06/2018 @ around 17:00hrs. Handed over my details Tuesday morning to make a deposit after confirming the price twice by email and received a reply that the price had gone up by £470 funny that isnt it just before my deposit was taken. Not to be trusted.
