That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

I arrived with my 4 month old puppy having eaten rat poison. Within minutes the extremely kind staff had given me full confidence that this was resolvable. They were super kind to me and the puppy was treated and released the same evening. I was very appreciative and impressed.

Wow!! What can I say,amazing communication, the friendliness and kindness from all the staff we saw was incredible. Having been to our own vets just a few days before the service was far better. I felt that they treated my dog with the best care and not just another walk in. I can’t thank them enough.

Very helpful. The vet we saw put our mind at ease when we brought in our injured dog. The dog has made full recovery. Can’t thank them enough .

Distressing experience
I could not in good conscience recommend Vets Now. I think they represent a lot of what is wrong with veterinary care currently - their primary concern seems to be money. My dog disliked the vet and he seemed to dislike her. Indeed he said he could not examine her and recommended proceeding straight to euthanasia. It was overall a very distressing experience. I visited my own vet on the Monday after and they agreed that euthanasia was not indicated.

I had to rush my dog there following a…
I had to rush my dog there following a labour that was showing some problems.
They were so kind, attentive and pet centred. Throughout the whole time, which was a stressful time, they were informative and honest.
The care, knowledge and professionalism they showed was second to none. Their actions honestly saved my dog and her puppy’s life.
If you ever need them then I would 100% recommend.

Caring staff.
Every member of staff we dealt with were friendly, calm and helpful and seemed to have a genuine care and love for animals. Very modern and clean premises.
Handled my pet gently and gave me clear options of what actions could be taken.

Lovely staff, clean calm waiting room, great service
We were seen quickly, the staff were very kind. The environment was calm clean and we couldn't have asked more more. Our dog was treated with kindness and is a happy boy again now.

A difficult Christmas made better
In a moment of high anxiety we arrived and were met immediately by the on call vet and receptionist. No time was wasted - Charlie was taken straight in. No time wasted, efficient and with complete transparency of the potential communicated quickly and politely! Half an hour later Charlie was back in our care! Thank you!

Less Talking
I have only given 4 stars as whilst the experience was good I was made to wait a while to be seen when my pet needed attention and I was stressed. There was no other animal being treated so I could not see a reason for the delay and all I could hear was laughter and chatter.

Very grateful with my puppies treatment
The vet that saw my puppy was very helpful and diagnosed the symptoms straight away. My puppy came home a few hours later, back to her usual self. Thank you very much
