We had a Kitchen design appointment booked for 12 O'clock midday. Our appointment for starters was 15 minutes late (we arrived at 11:50 and were hovering around the designers until one of them asked if we had an appointment, we were then told to "look around" until our designer finally became free).

From the offset our designer seemed standoffish. We had an idea of what we wanted but our designer was keen to continuously remind us of our budget. It seemed to us that he was trying to put us off. At one point he shouted at us that "we don't know what we want" when all we did was ask to change the gas cooker from a 4 ring to a 5 ring.

It was clear that this designer was not customer centric and just wanted to leave for the day. He asked us to book a follow up 2 hour meeting where he could go into things with us in more depth. With all other kitchen providers, a one hour meeting has been sufficient.

Regardless of his intentions, we were made to feel unwelcome, and we will not be using Wickes for our kitchen.

Really appreciate the help yesterday from both members of staff. Both had use the paint I was after and helped me to choose the best paint

Fantastic staff here, they stayed open a few minutes later because I’ve got my trolley half loaded with the tile!
I was struggling and the Lady even showed me up lifting two bags of tile adhesive, when I was only lifting one.

Our design consultant Emily Cassidy at the Derby store was very helpful from start to finish with our new bathroom. From design suggestions, to helping with changes and with aftercare, once the installation had been completed and we had a couple of outstanding queries with the installer that we were struggling to get hold of. Emily helped us straight away.

We have found that speaking directly with our design consultant has been far easier than the customer experience centre which are very hard to get hold of.
Once I have spoken to them, they have been polite and helpful.

I would recommend Derby Wickes and Emily for bathroom installation support.

I recently had my kitchen installed and was really pleased with the whole experience. Reece talked me through the whole process and ensured that it went smoothly throughout.

Sean was very polite and friendly, and consistently professional throughout the job, kept things tidy and made sure I was happy with everything.

Both were patient, helpful, respectful of my home and provided excellent communication throughout the service.

Reece was very helpful with the design of our bathroom.
Dan fitted the bathroom and worked very hard along with Lucas joining him to help for a couple of days.
Lee the electrician also did a brilliant job.
All were very friendly and efficient, Dan especially went above and beyond to complete the job.

Reece Moore and Michael James have been brilliant from beginning to end in the planning of my new kithen, to the fitting and completion. Nothing was too much trouble, they talked me though everything and gave options when needed.
They were both just at the end of the phone, if I had any questions.
I would highly recommend both Reece and Michael if you a planning a new kitchen.

We honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we met him, he was friendly, approachable, and put us completely at ease. Designing a new bathroom can feel overwhelming with so many choices, but he made the whole process enjoyable and stress-free.

He took the time to really listen to what we wanted and came up with lots of different ideas and options that we hadn't even considered. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and he was always happy to answer our questions and talk through different possibilities.

What we appreciated most was that he never came across as a pushy salesman. There was absolutely no pressure to make decisions, and we genuinely felt that he wanted us to end up with the perfect bathroom rather than just make a sale. His patience, attention to detail, and sense of humour made the whole experience a pleasure.

We're so grateful for all his help and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who is knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely cares about his customers.

Chevie was so polite and helpful. Gave me advice for what paint would be suitable for the room im re doing and stayed with me until I found the right type. Appreciated her patience. In general really good experience getting to know her

Thank you so much to Chevie who was so helpful today. I needed to buy some paint for my fence but I was unsure about the options. Chevie was really knowledgeable and went through the options with me to make sure I had the correct paint for the job. Thank you for being so friendly and making the process so much easier !

I was in with my friend who was looking for some tools as he has just started an apprenticeship and the staff couldn’t of helped us more. They gave us advice and recommended a few things that were on offer. They also signed my friend up to trade over all a great shop and will definitely be returning.

My deep gratitude for a member of staff from the Derby Store named Bev, who went completely above and beyond to help me today.

I have health condition and was feeling incredibly unwell, dizzy, and sickly while trying to shop for some home renovation materials. A wikes colleague had pointed me toward aisles 6 and 9, but in my condition, I was struggling to find the items and was on the verge of walking out empty-handed.

Bev noticed I wasn't well and kindly asked if I was okay. When I explained my situation, she immediately took charge. She walked around the entire store, collected every single item I needed, and personally escorted me to the till to ensure I was safe.

Her compassion, alertness, and outstanding customer service turned a very difficult, stressful situation around for me. She is a credit to Wickes, and I hope she is highly commended for her kindness.

Great staff and great local DIY store. Always friendly and helpful

Michelle served us when we had to return two tins of paint that didn't match the original colour. She mixed a tin using a sample of the paint we brought in and it's a perfect match. She was so helpful.

Whilst visiting wickes I came across two lovely women called Ellie and Shevie who were very busy picking deliveries but still had the time to help me with my project what a wonderful service this was thank you very much

customer service was absolutely brilliant couldn't fault wickes at all linda o was very knowledgeable and cared alot about all customers and shown alot of pride in her work

We have recently completed the installation of our new kitchen from Wickes in Derby. From the start of the process with our kitchen designer Reece to the installation by George we have been very pleased with the way the process was carried out.
Reece provided excellent guidance on what was available and we managed between us to create the best solution for our needs.
The installation was carried our for Wickes by George. George and his team were superb throughout and carried out the installation in an entirely professional manner with great care.
We can highly recommend.
We are looking forward to enjoying our new kitchen in the years ahead.

We went to Wickes in Derby to choose our new kitchen. They have many kitchen to choose from on display which helped us to choose the one we wanted. Reece Moore was our Design Consultant and he came to help us create the new layout as we wanted to change the look of our kitchen. Reece designed the perfect kitchen that met our needs and processed our order for all appliances required too. Nothing was too much trouble for Reece as we were deciding on details such as sinks and taps and we spent quite a while with him in store getting everything sorted.
Fitting of the kitchen was arranged with Mark Harris and the end result is fantastic. Mark worked with precision and attention to detail at all times, he also managed other trades such as electrician and plasterer. We would highly recommend Wickes to anyone requiring a new kitchen.
