I bought a car around 6/7 months ago and snice that point my rear shock absorbers have broke free of the body took to two different mechanic who both have told me that the bit of the car it’s attached to is heavily corroded bearing in mind it came with 12 months mot and it wasn’t on advisory,rang them up to explain they said not there problem it was fine when sold when asked more questions they told me to fxxk off and put phone down

Bought a Volkswagen Tiguan from their website. Listing stated ‘no knocks or bangs. Excellent condition inside and out.’ Car arrived with a knocking sound on the left side, highly worn tyres, cracked number plates, scratched windscreen, smashed front grill and over 1000 extra miles on the clock than what was stated. The same day I requested to return and the owner stated ‘I’ll sort that out for you’ then proceeded to ignore all my messages and calls. To the point I had to contact on another phone number and then received excuses such as hospital appointments and staff holidays. Still waiting for a confirmed date for collection or even a message of acknowledgement. Have had to start going down the legal route which is extra hassle no one needs. If you value good customer service and a genuine dealer who cares about quality and after care. Then go elsewhere. The worst service I’ve ever received. If they comment saying this is a false review- I’ve put my sales invoice that was provided by them as my account picture.

1.) never threatened anything about reviews
2.)- they have not declined to collect and the law under the consumer rights act 2015- if the car sold is faulty as you’ve admitted below, the buyer has 30 days to return for a full refund. I requested a refund about 4 hours after delivery and have it all documented.
3.) sales manager hasn’t tried to explain anything. Ignores my messages and calls and comes up with excuses. The last contact I had was that the return would be sorted but the driver was on holiday.
4.) shows how good the customer service is when I find out they are declining the return and breaking the consumer rights act by commenting on a review instead of replying to my emails, texts or calls.

Previously Redrose Cars Ltd who disappeared overnight owing hundreds of £'s to people AND selling faulty cars. Yes the service and initial sale is 100% but soon after the car shows faults, fake MOTs etc etc which costs hundreds to repair. I was a genuine buyer (Im sure the owner will state it's the wrong business Im reviewing but it's not!!) Beware, total cowboys and selling dangerous cars

Excellent service. NO PRESSURE , really good part exchange price offered, excellent from start to finish including a test drive -in and out within the hour. Would whole heartedly recommend widowhill and the team to anyone and we all family are over the moon thanks again Dani

If I only me and my husband read the reviews before we bought a car from these cowboys. I haven’t even bothered to complain directly. By the look of there responses and the way they give out cars they do not care to rectify. I have however sent a complaint and evidence into trading standards and now I want to warn others! I bought a 2011 Vauxhall zafira from this company about 5 months ago late dec/early Jan check your records Scott Wilkinson I still have the receipt! I asked if a fresh MOT could be put in place rather than a discount offered on the car. Was told yes no problem collect in 8 or so hours. Collected the car all seemed well. I’ve done about 1200 miles in this car I took it for a full service about a month after I had the car and found that the brakes discs and callipers were completely ERODED. The horn does not work amongst other things. Things that would have made an MOT fail (remember the one that was carried out a matter of weeks before by this company!) and could have killed me and my children. Obviously they pay them to turn a blind eye and have absolutely no conscience. You might be wondering why I’m only just writing this review number one because I’ve only just found a platform to review on and number two the fun doesn’t end here. My car is now in a garage with engine failure. Needs an entire new engine! Sold to me this way and the warranty they sold me ‘that pays out on everything’ not worth the paper it’s written on. Do not bother! I’m now £3400 down and choosing between scrap or a £1200 repair.

I purchased an Insignia Estate from Widowhill Cars in March to bring to Northern Ireland. The service and help I recieved from Maz was brilliant...working with me around ferry times and flights, then delivering the car in late afternoon to Birkenhead.
Really happy with the car, help and aftersales from Widowhill.

This company was called Redrose cars till October last year. They went into administration and reemerged with a new name. They have swindled lot of money in this way. Please check details at company house website.

Bought my Audi A4 off this garage that I found on AutoTrader. I wanted a nice saloon and this car had a good specification and was at 175k miles at the time of purchase. I had never bought a car before, let alone in used condition (understandably a daunting experience), and I was really desperate to buy one, so after countless hours and time spent searching for cars I decided to buy this model. It was in solid condition. It had an MOT, no knocks and bangs, and new timing belt as stated in the brochure, plus oil change. I called and inquired about the car and the manager was extremely helpful. He answered all of my novice questions, and I asked if there was any cosmetic damage to the car and he was very frank and honest. There were some minor scratches to the bumper and hood and he sent me pictures on WhatsApp. I asked if it could be repaired and he went the extra mile to have body work done on it so the car was looking impeccable when I had it delivered. He also had it reserved for me and we negotiated a super fair price for the car, delivery and bodywork. A week later, it was delivered and I couldn't be more pleased. All of the appropriate documents, service history, manuals, and 2 keys included. Car is in solid condition as described with all of its working features and it's my daily commute to work and elsewhere to this day.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the communication and excellent service. Thank you.

Thanks to the information that I got from this site I was going to purchase a car from them after speaking to one of the staff the information that they gave me was incorrect according to the government web site also the fact that they are a start up company raised red flags
I have now found another car with a reputable dealer

Purchased a car from them 1/3. On 14/3 it was noted the car had a major fault. Despite assurances of repairs, a refusal to act, a refusal to acknowledge letters, refusal to answer the phone. I reported them to trading standards and will be taking them to court
AVOID WIDOWHILL CARS, BURNLEY..........LIARS......I look forward to seeing them in court !

Cheats, liars and crooks...do not buy from WIDOWHILL CARS BURNLEY

Terrible service and unprofessional. Purchased a car from here under the information that the car was as in great condition, i checked MOT all seemed legit. Paid for delivery which they decided to drive the actual car 90miles to my location and during thar time use it as an carshare whilst they delivered other cars. During this time the car overheated and died, they had to wait to restart and then still wanted me to take it lmao.

Requested refund which i was made to wait till next day and when asking for update they couldn’t be bothered to even check the issue of the car so it will probably be back up for sale with no checks. Il do your job for you so when you read this you have an idea. The Ecoboost on the ford focus models has a issue with the coolant pipes cracking and bursting there was a recall few years ago. It may need a visit to ford garage or the pipes replacing but if it was drove after over heating and no coolant then more engine damage is possible. This should be fixed before attempting to sell again. I advise in future using a flatbed for your car deliveries like most professional garages do.
