I was a bit anxious about ordering a Barbour jacket given some of the reviews however I need not have worried. The delivery time was so fast when using DPD. I did return the first jacket as I wanted the next size but the refund was processed within a day of receiving it and I received the replacement within 24 hours again by DPD.

I’m not sure how fair the reviews are for William Powell, some of them do sound a little petty. In view of their Trustpilot rating and having read a number of the negative reviews I was on the verge of not ordering. However, there was a jacket I’d been looking at for some time and William Powell was the only outlet that had it left in stock in my size. I took what I thought could be a big risk paying £154.00, wondering what would arrive or even if it would arrive. To my delight the order was despatched the next day, I was kept fully informed of the delivery. It would have arrived within 2 days but I rearranged for it to be delivered to a DPD collection point as I wasn’t going to be in, so I received it within 3 days. Overall for me the service was excellent. The jacket was in excellent condition and the parcel was very well packaged. I haven’t had to speak directly with anyone, so I can’t comment on their customer service.

Absolutely diabolical service. Seriously don’t bother shopping here I ordered a Harkila baker boy cap, it arrived ok and fitted well however following a downpour whilst out shooting it got wet and the following day would not fit leaving ring marks on my forehead and marks where the peak dug in. Contacted their customer services who said I should not of got it wet!!! and we are not exchanging it. I ask you honestly why sell a country cap if it can’t be worn in the country whilst out working I have a lot of Harlkila gear as it’s warm and waterproof. What a rip off !!
Bad Customer Service
The delivery service was swift & excellent.
Opened the box and the boots had scuff marks and even a small chunk taken out of one.
Completed a faulty goods form, only to be told this is all ‘expected’ from gloss wellingtons and is a result from ‘rubbing against the box’ in transit.
If I want to return them, I have to do so at my own cost.
What a farce! First and last time I’ll be supporting this business.

I love this shop
I love this shop. I’ve no idea how people have had bad experiences with them as I’ve ordered many many times and shipping is always fast and she I’ve had returns they have been processed and refund issued promptly. This is my go to country clothing store.

Terrible delivery service! Read the reviews before you order from this company! Parcel was stated as delivered, it was not! Upon asking for a refund I was told to wait!
Went onto le chameaus website and the item was cheaper with no delivery fee!
Stay away, would not recommend.

Ordered a hat used the online guide hat too small queried this with them and was told don’t go by that as they vary. Absolutely pointless and customer service was useless. So I paid £4.99 postage and £4 return, go to a shop much better.
Outstanding Company
This is the first time I have ordered from William Powell. I have to say I received
5 star service. I placed two separate orders for coats as not sure on sizing. Both arrived quickly. Return of one was very easy.
I found customer service extremely polite and helpful. Will definitely be using this company again.

Great service. Ordered some slippers and they arrived within 3 days, well packaged and just what I wanted. Can’t speak about any after service as it wasn’t necessary but would definitely use again

Le chemeau wellies leaking after one month.
Spoke with customer services who told us to fill in a form c/w photos and then wait to hear their next steps.
I wanted to come into showroom to return/replace but was told that couldn’t happen. 3days later and I still haven’t heard anything from William Powell.
All they keep repeating is “ we have a procedure to follow” but in the meantime time I’m without wellies that work.
Apparently they want to ensure they can get their money back from le chemeau before actioning my replacement/refund.
Would John Lewis turn you away until they checked with some factory in China if they could get their refund. I think not.
So beware- customer service is terrible.
So, after a few days of hearing nothing, i had a call telling me to return the boots for either a replacement or refund. If only this is what I first got told then my review would have been far more positive. I don’t understand why the William Powell policy is to keep customers waiting instead of doing the right thing at the beginning.
However- don’t buy Le Chemeau.

I ordered from William Powell for the first time, even though I was concerned about the negative reviews. Service and delivery were excellent and am delighted with my new Barbour jacket.

I cannot entirely blame William Powell…
I cannot entirely blame William Powell here but it took them a while to dispatch an expensive coat from their shop.
I ordered in good time as I required it for the following weekend. As it took them a while to deliver it has knocked on the delivery by a few days. Then their courier DPD local have been an absolute nightmare and have yet to delivery my parcel stating they cannot gain access to the lockers even though their is always access.
Poor customer service
Faulty coat, William Powell refuse to accept their responsibility under the Sales of goods act.

Ordered a Barbour leather belt . Paid £4.95 for postal . It arrived and it was an awful dirty brown
Colour not as advertised ! Had to pay a further £4 to return it .
Please shop elsewhere
Disappointing Customer Service
My mum called yesterday to order a schoffel shirt,they didnt have colour required in the size needed...my mum asked if there were any more on order or schoffel shirts in required size but different colour available,female assistant said..."no idea,will look and call back" no one called back...£90 sale lost....new ptarmigan extreme 2 coat and 2 shirts ordered last december....does customer loyalty count for nothing??? Other outfitters are available.
