this file explorer is quite good, it feels like CX file explorer but for PC and without the "scoped storage".

8/10, would recommend.

Always loved Winrar, used it for years

WinRAR's 3.* passwords were easy to crack regardless of their strength. It took some people few seconds to open them using special programs back then.

Eugene Roshal never said a word about this. English newspapers are silent even after decades.

I don’t think why banks should trust Eugene Roshal or his colleagues now.

It's a shame they're still in business after this.

Everyone including myself who has a computer has probably used WinRAR. Compressing and encrypting files seem easy. The interface is also easy to use however it does appear they've stuck to a UI, which does seem slightly outdated, although if its not broken, why fix it. They could add a lot more encryption options to make it popular again, however for something that most people have used for free, the original encryption software that everyone gets nostalgic over is probably the best it's going to be in its current state. It'll do the job just fine.

Sehr gutes Programm. Klar gibt's immer bessere Konkurenzprogramme, aber WinRAR Funkzioniert sehr gut.

Other platforms luck of features of ugly.
Fire billing department, they do their job bad.

Lower price for your product, reduce it to annual license around $10 usd, instead of overpriced pricing.

Otherwise you will continue to see billions of peoples with cracked winrar installed on their pcs

If license will be affordable and easy to purchase for different regions via paypal, or credit card, it will be possible for masses to purchase licenses.

Killing cracked software very easy too by offering almost unlimited in usage software with windows popups with reminder to purchase the software in future.

I use this program from 7 years and it really usable, maybe I had some problems but it is not affecting the process, but I can say it works

The software works adequately in "trial mode" although it has security problems that are daunting. My problem is with the company. I bought the software at a "special" price of $20, was billed $29 and then discovered that the license would not "attach" to the software and, therefore, was useless.

I had paid through Paypal so I accessed their dispute resolution process after I was repeatedly unable to get a response through WinRar directly. WinRar responded by contacting me in an e-mail outside of the Paypal dispute resolution process.

The e-mail from WinRar was rude, unhelpful and ignored the overcharge. They forwarded another key and chastised me for attempting to get a refund for a product that did not work. The new key did not work and the e-mail was so aggressive and unresponsive that I have decided to just pay the money and devote the next 10 years to leaving informative reviews about WinRar and their handler Clearbridge anywhere and everywhere I can. On-line scammers like these guys should be identified as a warning to others contemplating any transaction with them.

I have used the software to unzip, worked well. I had a bit of a problem with the download as something else came with it. I quickly removed it.

(downloaded from downloadinfo.co ) I found a simple download of WinRAR with an easy installation manager interface.
I recommend WinRAR with caveats, depending on the intended use. For smaller scale file compression (schoolwork, music, etc), it's easy to use and zips and unzips via a fairly understandable interface.
My primary caveat is the fact that WinRAR does NOT use 256-bit encryption, so sensitive files (banking, contracts, legal information, etc) are at risk. They do use 128-bit, but if your system is compromised by someone actively searching for sensitive information, 128-bit will be relatively easy to crack. The password manager is a handy addition, but stores passwords in plaintext. So again, if the system is already compromised by a determined intruder, your files are barely secured.
Aside from this caveat, WinRAR is free, and fairly simple to use. Any complex, non private files can be easily compressed and zipped, and I have yet to find a .zip file that WinRAR won't work with.
