Nice product. Frustrating company to deal with.
I am making an update here. I did finally receive my kitchen table. The new delivery company is much better than their previous one. The guys were very careful and polite. I’m very happy with the table. It’s a really nice solid wood. There is a detail along the edge that looks slightly different than in the picture, but it doesn’t bother me. Still no updates or information about the Desk that I ordered.
I’ve bought a number of items with Wisteria over the years. I like the aesthetic of their products, but I feel like dealing with them has gotten worse. I ordered a table, a bed, and a desk from them nine months ago. I ended up canceling the bed because it took so long and I found a prettier bed that could be shipped within six weeks. The farmhouse table was delivered with a massive crack in June. So they had to put me on a re-order list. Anytime I’ve called for updates they’re confused and can’t figure out what’s happening. I’ve been told that the table has been canceled or I sent it back. They don’t seem to have a clear system for logging or looking information up. Anyway, I was told about a month ago that the table was in the warehouse and I would have it within a week. I was given tracking information that never updated. After about three weeks, I got back in touch. I was told that they switched to a different shipping company. I was told I would get updated tracking information, but I still haven’t so I currently have no idea where my table is or when I’m getting it. I was told the desk would be in sometime during the month of July, and then September. It’s now the end of September and I do not have a desk or any information. Never does customer service inform the customer of any of these changes, nor do they ever try to work with a customer or make things right after their mistakes. Every single time I speak to customer service it’s like a revelation. They never know what’s going on. Information is never logged clearly in their system. It feels like they have someone’s mom working at the phones who has never used a computer system before rather than someone who is trained to work in customer service. I got an email that the desk that I’ve been waiting nine months for was canceled. I was told they canceled it, but they couldn’t give me an answer as to why. She said at that point they couldn’t un cancel it. Later, she figured out that the order she was looking at was actually the bed that I had canceled four months earlier. Also, a Gustavian Buffet I ordered several years ago, had some sort of wood boring worm in it that has been creating dust. As much as I love the look of their catalogs I do not think I will be ordering from them again. They don’t seem to care about customer retention. For the cost of their products I could have had a custom table made in less time then they’ve taken.
