Have tried repeatedly to make contact via their website but unable to send a message due to a fault relating to verification . Tried phoning -- no answer -- left messages no response . Cannot recommend

There was a time when it had a few bugs but the last year or so it’s been very stable for the two numbers I have with them. I’m currently in South America and it works really well for calls and receiving SMS messages from the bank. All considered when it’s combined with an eSIM data package it works brilliantly. If you are in Europe the other ingredient is a Three SIM that provides an additional UK number and the required data for the xpat app.

Works great. This will work for you as long has you have good internet/Data. i am in Albania. for Data i use Saily.

We haven’t subscribed yet but wanted to speak to someone who can help with my queries, left numerous of messages and emails for over 4 days now, not one phone call or reply to any of my emails. They claimed they would answer your email in 3 minutes…not a hope! Go elsewhere!

The service was very buggy as it kept dropping out. Sometimes it sounded like a helicopter on the line. Sometimes it worked quite well. Unlike calls on WhatsApp, FaceTime, or Zoom that were crystal clear. The customer service was poor. Even with really fast 5G or Wi-Fi, it didn’t work well. I would not recommend it. Texting kept getting stuck and I had to keep closing the app and starting again. It was handy to have a texting service, but I’ll be looking for another service. I used this service for six months. Sometimes calls would work, but it wasn't reliable enough for work and to book client calls. I was using an iPhone 14 Pro from November 2023.

Xpatfone, Devyce, and their app are extremely easy to use and their customer service and support is fantastic. I have contacted them several times via email and their staff have always been friendly, fast, attentive, and knowledgeable. Great company and exceptional value for money. Highly recommended!

USELESS!

I wanted to speak to somebody over the phone to find out more information and if it was suitable for me. You ring the number and it rings out about 8 times and then says unavailable and cuts off.
I was speaking to Hellen via email who said I would receive a call from their commercial team but over a week later and I am still waiting.

Don’t bother with this company.

Found this recently and it has been a game changer as far as online banking and security is concerned. It is a Devyce service giving me a UK mobile number useable from my phone anywhere in the world so long as I have a data connection. The service costs £9 a month and using the Devyce app on my phone I can make as many calls to UK landlines and mobiles as I like for no extra cost. Perhaps more importantly I can receive one time password SMS messages to the Devyce app on my phone.

Signing up was very easy and there is a trial period during which you cannot receive OTP SMS messages. Other SMS messages come through but ones deemed to be OTP have the code obfuscated. The website says the trial period is 24 hours but in fact it was three days. However an email to Nick and he can activate your account straight away.

Very responsive email communication so far. I only wish I had discovered this 4 years ago.

Xpatfone is a branded version of Devyce and you can find many positive reviews at Trust Pilot if you look up devyce instead of xpatfone. Anyway, I thought I would leave my review here. The xpatfone package for £9 is quite attractive, and it still uses the devyce app and support etc. I ported my English number and took a local pay as you go sim, saving a lot of money. The call quality is as good as skype vop in my experience. Great product! Wish I had found it earlier!

One of those rare companies who provide an excellent product that works really well. Not only that but their backup by email is extremely prompt and efficient. I was being driven mad by our uk bank who could not use a French phone number for verification but these guys provide a neat app, a new uk proper phone number and it all works. Excellent.
