I love Yami’s products and prices

I love this company and its wide variety of Asian products, which are competitively and reasonably priced. My orders are delivered quickly, and the low price of $5.99 for delivery is a rare bargain. Orders are shipped for free when my purchases are $49 or more.

STRAY KIDS VERSON

The PEPERO STRAY KIDS product was advertised as a Stray Kids Pick, but the item I received was a standard box without any Stray Kids–themed packaging or content. This was misleading based on the listing. I contacted customer service and spoke with Jenny, who explained that the website states customers may not always receive the Stray Kids version.

They sent me expired items, not only one but a few of them. And their return procedure is not that easy. I won't order from them anymore

BE AWARE

I ordered two items, but they never got delivered. Yami said that it was the logistic company's problem. The logistic company (GOFO) said that it was Yami's problem. I WILL NOT ORDER FROM YAMI EVER AGAIN.

They sell expired or close to expired…

They sell expired or close to expired asian groceries. The customer service is unhelpful. Half my order arrived expired, they refused to replace. Many things only had 2 days to expiring and we're dried fruit. I will never support this business again.

There were 3 things which had at least 6 months before. These items were good and yummy.

go out of business asap

I didn't even want to give a single star. The package was sent to the wrong state. I contacted the customer service, but they actually asked me to contact them again after 5 days to request a return or a refund. What's even more outrageous is that they actually asked me for photos showing the delivery arrival on their official website. It's really extremely disgusting.

Misleading Policies and Extremely Poor Customer Service

Poor customer service and an unreasonable return/refund policy.

Product information was unclear, and instead of resolving the issue, they kept insisting they were right and refused a proper refund.

The return and refund policy feels outdated and unreasonable by U.S. standards. This kind of strict “no return, no refund” approach may be common in some Asian markets, but it is not acceptable or consumer-friendly in the U.S., especially for personal care products where clear disclosure is important.

As someone familiar with both markets, this felt like a policy that does not consider U.S. consumer expectations at all.

I would not recommend ordering from this company if you expect fair customer service or a reasonable return/refund process.

Have you ever wondered why they only have good reviews on their site?

When my order arrived, the chili sauce bottle was shattered, and the oil leaked all over the other packages. The ceramic bowl was broken, and two packs of noodles were torn. I contacted customer service twice. They said they would refund only the broken items or those with obvious damage, and told me to clean up the chili oil myself.

Anyway they refunded me with a gift card that had already expired two days earlier. To make things worse, that “refund” card wasn’t even new — it was one they had given me previously when I was upgraded to Gold Member status for spending a lot.

Then I left a bad review on their site. I didn’t expect there would be any new developments, but Yami actually went further — they deleted not only my negative review but also my entire purchase history from their website. At this point, I honestly suspect that all those glowing reviews on their site might be fake.

I strongly advise against purchasing…

I strongly advise against purchasing from this company. After placing an order, they refused to ship the items unless I provided them with photographs of my credit card. This is an unacceptable and highly insecure practice that no legitimate business should ever require. I am forced to report the transaction as fraudulent to my bank and will be canceling the charge immediately. Avoid this company at all costs.

Poor Customer Service

The package is missing, and customer service refuses to offer either a refund or a replacement. They keep telling me to come back after three days, which is a complete waste of time and energy.

Customer service was super unhelpful…

Customer service was super unhelpful and rude. I placed an order (my first ever order on the site), tried to cancel some items from my order 10 minutes after I placed it, and the customer service rep just kept giving me canned replies saying once an order is placed, I cannot modify it even if it hasn’t been processed or shipped yet. My only options are to keep the order as-is or cancel the entire order. Technically I probably could have reordered without the items I tried to cancel, but they were so rude that I refused to give them any of my business.

Always fast, fresh, and reliable

I’ve shopped with Yami for a while now and every order has been smooth. The selection is huge—from hard-to-find regional snacks to everyday pantry essentials—and the prices are competitive. Shipping is quick, items are packed with care (no crushed boxes or leaks), and expiration dates are comfortably far out. I had one small issue with a missing item once; customer service responded same day and resolved it without hassle.
What I really appreciate is the authenticity and variety—new arrivals keep things interesting, and I can restock favorites easily. Overall, Yami is dependable, convenient, and a joy to shop with.
