Unhelpful and sarcastic reception staff/
I have been a loyal customer of the Wythall practice of your vets for over 25 years and always paid there very expensive charges, I had an appointment today at 3;50 pm and arrived at 4 pm due to animals loose warnings on the M40
I stated to the reception I was sorry for being late due to traffic before I could finnish I was sharply told I had lost my appointment due to being late, I will point out there were no customers waiting with dogs to be seen my 130 lb Italian mastiff Zues was nervous and needed his booster and a check over it was his first time here although they treat my female mastiff Coco who's been with them since a pup.
I wasn't happy and believed they could have tried to fit me in because I had mae the 40 minutes journey to get there, I have spent thousands at this practice and customer retention obviously means nothing to these people. The reception had no intention or interest to help me a took great delight in being sarcastic I advised they would lose my custom which was met with a strug of the shoulders by the vet nurse who then smirked at me and told me to have a nice weekend whilst sitting smugly behind the counter. Don't wast your money with this practice customers are not valued and reception staff don't care if your dog needs treating or not. Shop around and find some where your custom will be appreciated. I have two mastiff's that will require treatment of some kind and will find a vets that appreciate you and your pets

Yourvets Nuneaton they are the worst…
Yourvets Nuneaton they are the worst vets to practice in Nuneaton theyvare money orientated treat both of my dogs had to take him to another vet because the young vets are only able to read from text books. They are more interested of whats in your wallet. I complained i was charged 44 pounds consultation fee vet did this from 3 yards away never touched my dog. The practice manager is a arrogant piece of work so much so i have penned a letter to the CEO of the compant please please do not take your beloved pets to this practice i could list the nightmare of this vets practice reception staff very rude. Today i recived a letter saying they was going to remove my two dogs off their practice 8 yrs ago they said my yorkie needed to be put to sleep 9 years on and he is still fit as a fiddle thank you for your letter Practice manager i would never ever bring my boys to your incompetent veterinary practice Nuneaton folk try PAWS they know what they are doing
Several years and always a good experience
We’ve been with YourVets for a good 15+ years. Originally in the Coventry branch but then moved to Solihull when it closed down. They have always been really great with all our animals over the years and were especially caring and tentative when our previous cats neared and came to end of life.
We now have a 12 month rescue pup, 11 month rescue kitten and a 6 yr old rescue cat. We have them all on the healthy pet club plan which is great value for money and we receive regular updates and 6 month overall health check ups.
I have noticed that there does seem to be a quick turnaround with staff in the Solihull branch that we are in now, which was slightly frustrating when our older cat became ill 2020-2021. However, all the vets we saw with her were all very caring and helped us no end with extra in-depth phone calls and tests, with any questions I had being answered swiftly and thoroughly.
All our furbabies are treated beautifully and the staff are all really friendly. Of all the years I’ve been with Yourvets, I’ve only ever had one bad experience with a not so nice, rude vet who wouldn’t look or talk to me, just my husband, despite it being my cat we were there with! Haha, it was ridiculous but that was a good 8+ or so years ago and haven’t seen them since! So one bad one out of many several years of visits is a great thing in my book.
We’ve just had 3 text message updates, one for each furbaby, to remind us to book in for their 6 month general check up this week so will be back in again next week :)
Thank you Yourvets
IF YOU VALUE YOUR PET'S LIFE, DON'T USE THIS PRACTICE.
It is now exactly a year since we lost our much loved cat to these people at Smethwick, and we still miss him terribly. They may be able to handle small things such as flea treatment etc.; but they are totally useless when presented with an emergency, and will leave your pet for hours on end without the necessary treatment. They even charged us over £1000 for the privilege, which they have totally refused to refund; but this is a small matter when compared to the loss of his life.
Sadly
Sadly, YourVets wythall have increased some medication by 100%. Prescriptions are £20 which is 100% increase . I was told everything has gone up. But medication for my pet is now prohibitively expensive . I really cannot afford their medication prices , despite using them for 20 years for all my animals. Time to find another vets or the unwanted alternative . Disappointing.

This is the most incompetent vets I have ever experienced, my dog was so Poorly however the first vet had to consult a book for pretty much everything, the second guy seemed at a loss and they essentially did nothing and sent us home, I asked for a referral and Kelly who is supposedly a manager asked why I told her he was staring at the wall and she said maybe his neck hurts, I have now used another vet (Medivet) who were absolutely fantastic, there is no comparison and my lovely dog has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. Your Vet are incompetent and I would urge people not to use them I am beyond livid about the poor way we were treated.
Yourvets Solihull misdiagnosed my cat…
Yourvets Solihull misdiagnosed my cat and then botched an operation that wouldn't have been required, over-charged, tried to blame me in their notes (always request the treatment records) they have a high turnover of staff, care more about billing you for services than caring for your pet. They will make a big fuss over your pet when you arrive, that's fake. Really a money making racket where animals suffer needlessly. In one sitting in their waiting room, I observed no less than three different families come in to have their beloved pets put down!
Solihull yourvets misdiagnosed my dog…
Solihull yourvets misdiagnosed my dog and operated unnecessarily and also charged me for incorrect treatment and medication. I complained in writing and the practice manager Emily Long and she responded with a rude letter. I was ignored for a request for medical notes until another vet got involved. I took yourvets to the next stage to Veterinarian client mediation service which yourvets have refused to engage so I am now seeking legal advice. In my opinion the vets are young and not very experienced hence why misdiagnoses where made in this instant and the practice manager is rude and incompetent but happy to take thousands of pounds from paying clients.
bad treatment/care of family dog
Had my son's dog in over night as dog swallowed some plastic balls, the treatment mentioned on the patients report was not correct and I believe the dog did not receive the treatment she should have, phoned back on the evening after discharge worried that dog was still ill told to just walk her around and try to administer food/water. still not well next day told to either book an appointment or emergency at cost, took dog to another vets and they found another rubber ball from the X-Ray so had to operate if not acted the dog would have died. company refuses a refund as they say the dog got the correct treatment. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE this company only wants your money
Overcharging and unecessary treatment
I have been taking my dogs to Yourvets Rayleigh for over 12 years, with no real cause for complaint until the events of January 2021 onwards. One of my dogs is an English Bulldog, who in January 2021 was 4 yrs 7mths old. She had suffered from skin complaints, easily cleared up with antibiotics and in January developed an ear infection. A visit to this vets resulted in a total fee for £113 (consultation/steroids/ear cleaner). The infection cleared within a week. In April 2021, it returned although this time not so severe and I had caught it early. I took her back and we saw the head vet James (although I did not know he was the head vet at the time). The usual waiting outside because of covid and then he called me. He stated the my dog likely suffered from an allergy and needed like long treatment( a cost of at least £60 per month). When I asked why he thought this, he could only say its because its the second time shes had an ear infection. A long story short - I now paid £213.00 for this visit along with medication and other tests tey did (without informing me first that they had carried the tests out). As soon as I left, I called them. I could neither speak with a manager (they were all busy) or speak with another vet for a second opinion (which is when i found that James was the head vet). I was forced to put my cmplaint in writing and three weeks or so later received their responce. My letter of complaint was factual and forceful and I would have taken legal action if we could not agree a suitable outcome. I was refunded for the allergy medication and an extra bottle of ear medication (this was over prescribed). There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this was a case of charging as much as they could. The medication for an allergy that they could not say she had, was unnecessary at that time. So far, no more ear infections. I was'nt going to write a review until yesterday, when I now took my labrador there. I was confident she had been stung, with a swollen lump underneath her mouth. I explained she was fit and well otherwise and just wanted to make sure it was a sting and nothing else. It was a sting but the vet decided she needed to have an antihistamine injection and a short course of steroids. Why I did not question this I don't know, the bill was for over £90. Research indicates that most times a sting requires no treatment unless of course there are signs of a reaction or its in the mouth (for instance). Another overcharge for unnecessary medication is my view. I will not challenge it this time but in future will be asking lots and lots and lots of questions as to whether something is really necessary. I wont change vets at the moment as the rass is nt always greener on the other side BUT - BECAREFUL WHEN YOU VISIT THIS PRACTICE and always question the treatment and medication provided. They never used to be like this, I think they have become greedy
I'd recommend Rayleigh YourVets to anyone
Over the years I have been with this surgery (Rayleigh) they have been nothing but helpful. When our new rescue dog needed multiple surgeries they helped us with a discount because it cost so much. They don't have problems with direct insurance claims, fulfill prescriptions quickly, I get to see the same vets for ongoing treatments with my pets, prices are better than other vets in the area, and everyone is friendly and helpful. While you can wait some time for to be seen at an appointment, this seems normal with all vets I've visited and I feel wait times have actually improved over the past year despite covid restrictions. I had to take a stray I took in to another vet due to restrictions of the charity help I was getting, but it was so frustrating I moved back to YourVets as soon as I could. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
I wouldn’t even leave 1 star for this…
I wouldn’t even leave 1 star for this “vets” the way my french bulldog was treated was absolutely disgraceful and all the uptight receptionist was worried about was how she was paid enough to be spoken to rudely by a very frightened and worried young girl who was trying to get help for the dog she had taken to them my dog was in a very very bad way they left her waiting outside for 15 minutes then had to be laid on a cold dirty carpet because in a rush to try and save her life my sister in law had forgotten her mask and kept being told whilst begging them to see her we’re not coming out because your not wearing a mask and to lie my dying baby on the floor she received no treatment whilst she was there and they couldn’t get rid of her quick enough when she was being handed back the receptionist told my sister in law that they had actual emergencies that they needed to attend to my dog died the next morning at just 3 years old had she have been treated by this so called animal loving joke of a practise she could very well have been given a fighting chance if a dying dog isn’t an actual emergency then I honestly don’t know what is I even spoke to the vet on the phone who told me my dog was absolutely fine! if you ever want to see your pets again don’t bring them here!!
Here today gone tomorrow
Sad to read about another owner losing his cat at the hands of this practice, how can a cat bleed to death from a broken canine? In my case my lovely cat went in as he was off his food was taken in here on 26 November 2020, when vet admitted him he was bright alert, and responsive. Advised by Vet after diagnosis to have ultrasound and blood test. 6 hours later I picked up a cat he was in such a poor condition with shaved neck front legs and abdomen both front legs and neck badly bruised with canula still bandaged to his back leg and left in while he came home with us in a comatose state, he died the next morning as this practise failed in looking after him when he had a non invasive procedure of blood test and scan. I've asked for an explanation in writing and that hasn't been addressed by this practice! Oh and yes they Billed £1100 yes £1100 to kill my cat, but I leave it to you to make your mind up about this place. All correspondence available and invoices to show and back up my complaint but really honestly would you risk it!
We phone the vet about our unwell cat
We phone the vet about our unwell cat , they ask us to take her down , she passed away on the way there , the person that met us at the door she rudely ask us to put our dead cat on the floor so she could pick her up, when we gave her the cat she was very rough with her , her attitude towards us was disgusting, she was very rude , I’m not happy about they serve
Phoned pdsa about my very unwell cat &…
Phoned pdsa about my very unwell cat & they advised us to bring her here, she passed away while in the car on the way to the vets, when we arrived at the vets they rudely told us to put the cat on the floor so she can pick her up, the woman we dealt with was very rude. The way that she handled my cat while taking her into the vets was disgusting, the woman was outrageous & her attitude towards us was disgusting!

DONT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE EVER.
Awful service they will find any excuse…
Awful service they will find any excuse not to honour the healthy pet club scheme and will delay booster and kennel cough.
Arrived for an appointment today, called when I was outside as I was told. Waited 20 minutes on hold then approached a member of staff to be told I was late and they wouldn’t see my dog. Shocking service
Really advise looking elsewhere
