I agree with what a lot of the one star…
I agree with what a lot of the one star reviews are already calling out: fake reviews. At least some are, because the names of some reviewers match people associated with the company on linkedin. Havent checked them all as I dont want to waste any more time on this. As for the product, they use extremely cheap hardware and awful, buggy software. Their support is awful as well.

We have 4 tablets and they’re great. The set up was pretty stress free and their support guy (Scott) helped us migrate from the app we were using so we got up and running quickly. It’s a cool idea that is so far executing well.

We've had them for years now. They have a good user interface. They've replaced paper binders for good. Guests really use them. Support has been good all along.

A cracking piece of kit!
The tablet is a fantastic way to inform clients of your property's house rules, the local amenities and local activities. It allows you to update and edit easily any content and is great fun to put together. It was a particularly important tool during COVID as paper based materials were not allowed. An excellent tool and the staff at Your Welcome are very helpful too! I would thoroughly recommend using this product.

We just received our (extremely cheap) YourWelcome tablet and found that it doesn't support wireless charging and Brightness control has been locked out so you can barely see the screen. YourWelcome's documentation says your cleaners will plug it in when they turn the property. Cool, one more thing for my cleaners to forget to do!

Huge waste of time and money!!! I don't know how this company stays in business. The software is extremely buggy - appears to be similar to a college intern project. The features are over engineered and they offer 0 support. I spent weeks waiting for answers to my emails and eventually gave up.
Horrible
Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! We had roughly 80 tablets from YourWelcome. We have stopped using them for roughly 9 months and they have billed us over 10,000 USD in the past 9 months. After many emails and mailing back their tablets they continue to take money from our visa or bank account. The service is terrible. I think they will see lawsuits coming or go under as a business all together.

Really disappointed, was so excited when I found an APP for my cleaners to follow. App doesn’t work ALL cleaners report the same issues of no properties to clean and no forward bookings shown. iCal links are correct with Channel Manager and all booking sites working to that link. I have reported over 20 cases and never gets resolved. Waste of money and back to managing and allocating cleans myself 🤷♀️ great idea that doesn’t do what it says it does on the tin…

Waste of time and money
YourWelcome tablets are constantly checking for software updates and then not updating. This bug means they are completely useless. The technical support from the company includes very basic ideas, like restarting, try a different network etc.
We have wasted so much time setting them up and helping guests try and use them. It is quite clear that the tablets do not work and we are now stuck in a contract for 12 months which they won't back down from.

Fake reviews?
From my experience, I think the many 5 star reviews are fake. There is no onboarding process, customer service ignores messages, the functionalty of the tablet is not complete (upselling doesn't work). Parts of their website fail, the tablet came prefilled with "local" data for a town over 100 miles from the location.

I worked for this company as a contractor developer for 15 days and was only paid for 7 days. The work ethics was horrible!
They cut my pay and didn't care that I made a timelog and proved all the work I did for them.
No amount of explanations and proof could change their mind.
I have never experienced such before and hope never to waste my time working for such a company that treats their workers like unpaid slaves.
The tablets do not work as advertised
The tablets do not work as advertised. They break constantly and require a 10-15 minute reset on a consistent basis (the reset process requires holding down the buttons the entire time, if you let go you will need to start over). They became such a burden for our company that we started pulling them out of the apartments.
We also waited weeks and even months for responses from support. We were promised features that either didn't work or were never developed. Don't make the same mistake we made, avoid this company.
The software is in "trial" and there is no sync at all
We found YourWelcome on HOST 2019 event in November 2019. The subscription was bought for two accounts (M&M and PickThePlace) for two services (tablets itself and advanced check in process), and we started the onboarding process. The idea was to automate the check in process and have a tablet in each property which will promote our brand and automate order of taxi and cleaning services as well as provide guidance (how tv, oven, washing machine, etc works).
Everything was fine until the moment we had to connect Your Welcome (YW) to our channel manager Rentals United (RU). YW staff promised us full synchronisation (Unfortunately, there is no written proof that they have full sync with RU, only verbal advertisement. However, they advertise the RU logo in their brochure page “Remote Guest Management”). But it was never working as it should be. YW used an API connection, which was half working half not. The properties were uploaded twice with wrong names, some properties were already removed from our portfolio, yet still were showing on our YW account. One M&M property is shown on a PTP account. Overall, quite a mess for us to find what and where to connect. We managed to connect the properties between YW and RU. Next problem was that half of the flats did not sync. For some reasons (even YW does not know why) half reservations for some of the flats were not shown. All that we had to figure out on a daily basis by checking what reservations are coming through. For a very long time this issue was not solved. Our YW account manager Rikesh was supportive in terms of answering our email, but none real help was received. We could not even place tablets to the flats, because we did not know how many of them were working. YW kept saying to ask RU for help, while RU were simply saying they don’t work with YW and it is not their problem. It took us more than a year to push them to deal with RU. Right now, they signed the contract to work together, however, it is quite late, and we do not want this service anymore.
All together YW service is a very raw program. It seems that we were taking part in a trial of this app. So many issues and errors which every time we need to report, and we were answered that their IT will look into it.
A big fat 10 our of 10
I genuinely have never received customer service as good as Your Welcome. Right from the off - I had a Zoom call with Alex - very informative, easy to talk to and every question I had was answered clearly. It was about 30 minutes into this call with Alex that I knew Your Welcome was for me. The next day (13/05/21) - I agreed to move forward with a 12 month contract and paid that day. Alex arranged next day to delivery for me as he could tell i was eager to put their Digital Guestbook solution into place as soon as possible.
On the same day, I got intro'd to Rikesh, my account manager. My god - this guy went above and beyond to configure my content bespoke to my guesthouse. He treated the set up with the same care and attentiveness as if he were part of my business taking away any technical stress and leaves the door very wide open to contact him at any point with any other support going forward.
Today (14/05/21) I have the tablets in all 11 of my guest bedrooms, configured and ready to greet guests with my bespoke content.
I actually find that journey quite spellbounding. So all I can say is thank you Alex and Rikesh - superb from you both.
Pro's of Your Welcome:
- The tablets themselves feel premium
- My guest experience and value proposition has shot up
- Guests can contact reception via in the in-plaform chat function instead of always contacting me on my mobile (I live on site, so it's nice to distinguish between work and leisure now).
- The ability to upsell my mini spa on site, romance packages or late check outs has never been simpler (and automated)
- Guests can now easily find information on all their important parts of their stay, local attractions, taxi numbers, wifi codes, order food, book a local place to store luggage, browse the web, view a local map all without needing to contact reception
