Unusable galleries and abusive billing on expired credit card: stay well away!

Advice from a loyal, 15+ year soon-to-be ex-customer: host your photos elsewhere! This company has become a total scam. Completely dysfunctional service: non-archived photos take minutes to load, while archived ones (yes, we faithful legacy customers are supposed to have unlimited storage, but non-recently-accessed photos are relegated to some kind of tape archive) can take hours to days. I decided to take my business elsewhere and did not update my credit card information, but they still somehow managed to charge me for another year on my expired card and of course do not reply to my requests for a refund. Too bad I am Europe-based or I would sue them for failure to provide a service and unauthorized debit. Caveat emptor!

We’ve looked into your account and can confirm that your refund has been processed, and you should see it reflected shortly. While we completely understand your concern about the charge, in many cases, banks will automatically update card details behind the scenes, especially with recurring payments. We recommend reaching out to your card provider if you'd like more information on how that works.

It’s disappointing to part ways under these circumstances, but we’re grateful for the time you spent with us over the years. Wishing you all the best with your photography journey ahead.

Zenfolio is an excellent organisation…


Zenfolio is an excellent organisation created specifically for photographers. I needed to renew my website, but I'm unsure how to use the software, as I've forgotten. The company offers one-on-one sessions with a tutor who will guide you through the software and assist you in building the website to a professional standard.

Time for me to shop for a different provider?

After I upload images the response time is lagging in seeing the thumb nails populate the gallery. You must be spending all your time and effort on building your new offering?

A Fresh New Experience

I was attracted to zenfolio because the templates are attractive, modern, and pretty easy to customize. It has taken me a few days to get accustomed to the change, but I am learning my way around pretty fast for an old man.

I also like Zenfolio's pricing structure more than my former host.

Prompt response

Prompt and thoughtful response to my questions. Had an issue with 3rd party verification of transactions that although Zenfolio couldn't solve directly, provided helpful suggestions as to a course of action I could take. Great follow-up and acknowledgement of suggestions I made and seemed keen to provide continuous improvement.

Alex is flat out amazing!

Alex's technical assistance surpassed my exceptions.

The multiple hour, 2 day technical assistance provided by Alex was beyond my expectations. I was in a bind to revamp my outdated website quickly for a job prospect. Alex was friendly, very patient, meticulously about details and consistency, and the best editor ever! I really enjoyed collaborating with Alex. I value being able to go back to Alex for further assistance rather than starting over with a new person as most tech assistance requires.

I'm Zenfolio customers for few years…

I'm Zenfolio customers for few years and I'm happy using online gallery. For better service I think with package that customers buy should be everything included, book event, sale photos online, print etc. Everything else is so far amazing 👏. Thank you.

No archiving


Zenfolio gives me a very professional website but they want to archive everything. Even though they say they archive when people have over 20 galleries they have archived mine. People need to see my work. I pay for that.

Archiving is designed to help with site performance and storage, but we recognize that it is less than ideal for some of our photographers. For that, we apologize. Alex has been a tremendous support in…

Alex has been a tremendous support in moving my online photography fine art print business closer to going live. He is patient, knowledgable, and has a solution for every idea I have and all the answers. He's a major reason I would not move my site to another hosting service. My wife will be getting a Zenfolio account. That will make 3 accounts we will have with Zenfolio.
