Gave me the information that I was looking for in my used car purchase. Great value and information is easy to read.

These reports provide insightful information that fills in gaps to other reports that are absent of certain information; i.e., mileage gaps, ownership info (commercial or private). Zilocar.com has become my go to website for vehicle information. I have yet to find a similar or on par website as Zilocar.com. I am an attorney, and I am searching for details - always, and I am a paying customer in Oregon and this is my honest assessment.

I've had several questions and doubts regarding the information provided on the car reports that I've downloaded. The Zilocar team hasn't only been prompt to reply, but are clear and thorough with their answers.

It was easy to use and gave me the information I needed to purchase my vehicle.

Zilocar has saved me a whole lot of what could have been very bad vehicle purchases!! I’ve been lied to, pressured etc. about how great their vehicle is. When I use Zilocar the truth is right there in black and white. I will never purchase a vehicle without checking it out for an accuracy !

Additionally, take the time to mark the reviews as useful. Initially, I didn't. Tonight, I did. Hope it helps others to just simply get a Carfax. They are reliable, trusted by dealers, consumers and financial institutions for a reason.

TL/DR : The report is inaccurate. Call the dealer you are buying from or call a bank and get a free Carfax (or pay for one, its worth it). These reports are devoid of any useful information. Wrecked cars come back clean on their reports.

While I *did* get a refund from these guys after receiving two grossly inaccurate reports, I am still bombarded with back and forth emails (on a Sunday) telling me to change my 1 star rating here. Yes, I got my money back. A refund doesnt make garbage suddenly deserve a better rating. If I could give zero stars I would.

Read the 1 star reviews here. They are ALL telling the same basic story. AVOID these guys. Its a bogus product devoid of accurate info.

My review, as written originally, is as follows:

Garbage. I looked at a used truck that the dealer listed as having prior collision damage. I had my bank run a Carfax which confirmed it had been damaged but it was "minor". I had read that Zilocar was detailed and decided it would give me more details.
It listed the vehicle as accident free.

I ran my wife's car's VIN knowing full well we had an insurance claim on it years ago to see how it came back. It also came back clear and accident free.

I contacted Zilocar for an immediate refund. They requested a copy of the Carfax to compare. I complied. Then then asked for my insurance information. Ill cut and paste from the email I received:
" To help us investigate further, we kindly ask if you could share the insurance report for your personal vehicle. With this, we can cross‑examine the data and, if necessary, contact the insurance provider directly to better understand why the incident was not reflected in our system."

Contact my insurance provider? For a $28 refund on a bogus vehicle report?

No thanks. I decided to invest my own time this evening to type this out to warn others. This was a pure waste of money. If anyone wants my remaining 48 credits/reports for the month, they can have them. ;)
