Best transfer ever
Zinstall WinWin. Great product, great service. Had to do a transfer across two Dell 1600's. Went to Zinstall because I had used them years ago, very good decision to use them again! From my own error, downloaded WinWinn twice, and without me knowing, Zintstall noticed this and cancelled the cost of one download. Amazing service! Transfer was on WiFi, 40 mpbs, took about 24 hours and was perfect Many thanks to Zinstall Support and Kyle S
Reversing from Win11 back to Win10

I'm sorry - I missed seeing your note earlier. Yes, the follow-up e-mail was received and VERY MUCH APPRECIATED..! With the new information you provided, I changed the Registry values, and the reverse transfer (from Win11 to Win10) went smoothly. This is incredible service and an incredible product. The very best I've seen, and you should all be proud of such a valuable and thorough product, not to mention your outstanding and quick response to questions such as I had. Including this e-mail, which is a follow-up to make sure I received your original reply..!
I don't understand any of those customer/complainers that I read about..! Clearly, those folks must not be up-to-speed on what they're doing. From my own experience, Zinstall is - especially with your help on unusual situations like mine, - a foolproof and brilliant design.

Recently I bought a new desktop…
Recently I bought a new desktop computer, and was dreading trying to transfer all my data etc. from my old machine. I had nightmares about all the hassle and frustrations this used to cause for weeks in the past. As I started this time with Zinstall, it all seemed to go worryingly slow. I decided to let the process run overnight, and I was absolutely delighted to find it had completed the whole process without me doing a thing. All my documents were there, all my programs worked perfectly, and all my files were laid out exactly as I had them before. Wow, what a relief! Great!
So, thanks Zinstall, hugely useful, you saved me a lot of heartache.

I just want to say how pleased I am with Zinstall's WinWin. I purchased a new laptop and had a lot of large and small programs/apps on my old computer that I was dreading having to reinstall. I tried a cloning product that I wasn't happy with and then found Zinstall's WinWin and gave it a try. It's easy to use and it did a wonderful job moving over all my files, folders, programs and settings, there were some minor tweaks that I needed to do, like re-activating two products, it also took a bit of time, but that's to be expected on how much had to be done, it would have taken much more time, and a lot of aggravation, if I had to reinstall everything, copy all my files and folders, and redo all my settings. I'm very pleased with Zinstall's WinWin. It's a great product and from my experience I highly recommend it.

I selected to go with Zinstall because I'd had a very good prior experience. This job was to migrate from my wife's old pc running windows 10 to a new pc running windows 11. Gonzalo G. was my tech and he did a terrific job. It turned out to be more then a simple job that required lots of hands on expertise to get key older apps to function after the initial migration. Gonzalo was very professional. He was patient and calm with me as he breezed through setups for outlook and my password vault without data loss. I'm more than pleased with the outcome.
I'll ask for Gonzalo as my tech when I need this process again.

Non-existent Customer Support…
I contacted customer support 5 times and no one got back to me. I bought the product and did a transfer but I'm not convinced that everything was transferred correctly.

I do know what I'm doing, however, I had just purchased a new Dell PC with both an SSD drive and SATA drive. Not thinking that the SSD only had 512 GB (for C). The diagnosis was correct. I upgraded to the Zinstall Migration kit pro. I cleaned the migrated C: drive and then ran the Migration Kit. Worked like a charm.
I would highly recommend Zinstall to anyone. Especially people who are not familiar with PC's and are upgrading from an older machine to New.

Gonzalo was a Star!
Gonzalo was my technician and he was very patient giving me good service. I am 90 years old and needed all the help I could get. It was clear from his initial moves on my screen that I hadn't met the pre-visit criteria - programs weren't loaded. But he got on with that. also he had to phone me with a query. So he obviously did all he could do to see that the program successfully launched. When it had done it's business, I was delighted with the result. Obviously, Zinstall is a very clever program - thank you all.

I don’t typically offer feedback on stuff, but I have to say, I am extremely impressed with your transfer program. My biggest concern was my mail protocol. I have used Windows Live Mail for ever and wanted to continue using it on my new Windows 11 HP Envy x360 computer. I tried to install the Windows Live application and it failed. Of course, Windows Live is an outdated program and everything I read was sketchy as to whether it would work properly on Windows 11 anyway. I couldn’t get it install, but your program transferred it perfectly. Of course, there was other concerns with transferring lifetime programs I had accumulated. I assume there are a number of programs out there that will transfer data from one computer to another, but just know, once the process was complete, everything was back the way it was and a potentially stressful ordeal was totally avoided.

Terrible, bad support and phone number is imposible to reach, it appears disconnected. Don't trust the company. Bad practices, zero client support.
Positive experience
I am impressed with the Zinstall software and ease of implementation to execute a migration. In the fine print I do have one suggestion: there does not seem to be an immediate reply to inquiries leading to some concern or even doubt about the capabilities of the software and frankly, the company. The angst for me was being in the dark and not knowing if help would arrive today, tomorrow, three days, next week, or ???????
If it would be possible to answer each phone call, chat, or voice mail quickly, it would make a big difference. I spent several days sticking like glue to my phone and hoping that someone would call. I understand that it takes time to answer and respond to inputs and questions, but I believe there would be significant improvement if I had just received a simple response, somewhat quickly, that simply said “we are currently backlogged but we should be able to contact you in the next 24 hours or so”, or “all of our technical agents are in the process of helping other clients at this time and someone should be able to contact you by Tuesday afternoon”, or “Our current scheduling backlog is approximately 12 hours. We will respond to your issue withing one day and possibly/hopefully sooner as our in-process work permits.”
In the end I am very pleased with my “new” system and all Zinstall issues have been resolved. I still have a few issues to work with Dell and/or Microsoft. Having a liaison with these companies might be a positive impact; especially if you had a system for handoff of specific issues and contact information.
Again, I have had a good experience and would recommend Zinstall to anyone going through the same process that I have.
Zero support and no one could figure…
Zero support and no one could figure out how to get past the windows login screen. Had to pay BestBut $100 to wipe the new computer so it could be returned!
Ultimately failed
Zinstall seemed fairly easy per sales pitch, but I wanted to leave some files out of the transfer due to space limitations, and I ran into problems. At first, the problems had to be due to not shutting down security options, so I wrote support. They agreed and kindly send me the upgraded version for free cause I’d tried to shut everything down. That ran into other problems. Now I’m trying one last time and it’s been looping on the “validating” step at 99% for several hours. I’ve been using and moving laptop data since the mid 1980s. Why does everyone keep creating more difficult programs under the guise of ‘improving’ them? Two stars was due to their nice Support, but after the initial problem, they just kept giving me the same solution which was irrelevant at that point. Programming keeps getting worse each decade. The biggest companies are some of the worst. At least back in the 80s we had manuals with the software that was written with programmers. Now they have “support” sites where the only help is from other customers. Considering how wealthy these companies are, you’d think they’d care more about customer service. They don’t.

Zinstall totally saved the day... Simple instructions, clear 3rd party virus and firewall protection, install software and press go... I highly recommend and I will definitely use again when the need arises...

I just finished setting up a new laptop using Zinstall software. In a word, EASY! Oh, make that two words, FLAWLESS! And, their support is top shelf.
I've been buying and replacing laptops since laptops existed and always dreaded the transfer process. I've even delayed buying computers because it was a pain in the xxx to get the new one up and running. No more.

I am so glad I got Zinstall for my transfer. My old windows 7 computer was very slow. The tech from Zinstall, Gonzales G was very patient and stayed with me all the way. He even called me the next day to make sure the transfer took place 100% - it took over 8 hours to complete the transfer. I would not hesitate to use them again and of course if I’m lucky get Gonzalo again as my tech. It was so great to do it all over the phone at an agreed to time. I didn’t have to drag two computers to Best Buy to have a geek do the transfer. Zinstall and Gonzalo took care of everything. Never thought this transfer would ever take place, considering how slow and damaged by old computer was. Thank you Zinstall. Thank You Gonzalo!

The results of the transfer were highly desirable and it really amazed me. Tech support was great except for a 3 day waiting period for them to reply. Still worth the snafu
Big claims, little delivered. Would not buy again.
Was excited when I saw this and watched the demo, said the new computer would be exactly like the old one copy passwords, programs and so on, and would look the same. Well fail, did copy files and put on desktop, did not transfer passwords, programs (well you needed to enter the product code for the programs again). Also after paying you were encouraged to pay more for added services. Would not use again, not to mention how long it took to perform the transfer. The little video is totally misleading on the ease ir use and what actually gets transfered. Lastly when tried to do a chat for help, there was no response after about 10 minutes, so closed it.
Superb communication
Superb communication, I was not sure if I needed assisted or self managed migration. The product was superb and transferred everything in minutes. As described, when the target PC was turned onn it looked exactly like the source with everything in place!
Problem Free Transfer From Windows 10 to 11
I have no Microsoft products other than the operating system. This product moved a good size MySQL database, home grown java programs, NetBeans, SQL Developer, Open Office, MoneyDance, TextPad, Thunderbird and Firefox effortlessly in under 3 hours. I did not even have to re-enter any licenses. Only issue was that I had to get a new driver for the scanner for my HP All-In-One printer. It is worth the extra cost!
