URGENT WARNING – FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY SUSPECTED
I rented a car from Zippy7 on 14/03 at the Vienna Ungargasse office (evening) and had an extremely serious and disturbing experience.
During the deposit process, a staff member took my bank card out of my sight into a separate room, which is completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
Within 24 hours, multiple unauthorised transactions were taken from my bank account, despite the fact that I had not used my card anywhere else. This strongly suggests that my card details were compromised during this rental.
This is not just poor service — this raises very serious concerns about fraud and customer security.
I am now dealing with my bank regarding stolen funds, which has caused significant stress and inconvenience.
PLEASE BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL:
Do NOT allow your card to be taken out of your sight
Avoid using your primary bank card
Monitor your account immediately after any transaction
I would strongly advise others to think twice before using this company.

Ich habe am 14.03. abends ein Auto bei Zippy7 in der Filiale Wien Ungargasse gemietet und leider eine äußerst beunruhigende Erfahrung gemacht.
Während der Kautionsabwicklung hat ein Mitarbeiter meine Bankkarte genommen und ist damit in einen separaten Raum gegangen, außerhalb meiner Sicht. Das ist völlig unprofessionell und inakzeptabel.
Innerhalb von 24 Stunden wurden anschließend mehrere unbefugte Transaktionen von meinem Bankkonto abgebucht, obwohl ich meine Karte nirgendwo anders verwendet habe. Das deutet stark darauf hin, dass meine Kartendaten während dieser Anmietung kompromittiert wurden.
Das ist nicht nur schlechter Service – es wirft ernsthafte Fragen zu Betrug und Kundensicherheit auf.
Ich stehe derzeit mit meiner Bank in Kontakt wegen gestohlener Gelder, was erheblichen Stress und Aufwand verursacht hat.

Zippy7 operates a predatory business model
I often rent cars in Vienna & always had good experiences—until Zippy7. Like many others, I was charged an excessive fee for a supposed tire mark only visible in very close-up photos. I did not cause any damage but couldn’t prove the mark was pre-existing due to limited photo resolution. I reported Zippy7 to konsumentenschutz.wien (they were aware of this company already) and am filing a civil claim.
Very high charges for minor "damage". Typical cheap rental company.
After some good experiences with this company, they did what many cheap rental companies are desperate to do:
imposing an exorbitant charge for some minor damage to the front wheel.
When they saw the small scratches, I'm sure they rubbed their hands in delight at the opportunity to make a lot of money.
I shall never be a customer here again - something that, based on their own words, clearly doesn't bother them.
No willingness to compromise.
Being customer oriented, not petty, is clearly a foreign concept for them. How they can be so stubborn as not to come away from their arbitrary "charges matrix" by one cent, is truly extraordinary.
Don't be fooled by cheap prices here - you will pay one way or the other.
They have lost me as a potential loyal customer for ever. And I will of course be warning friends and colleagues about this incident.
Extremely Poor and Unsafe Experience – Zippy7
We specifically requested a baby car seat suitable for a 1-year-old child at the time of booking. Despite this clear request, we were provided with a significantly larger and inappropriate seat, which was neither safe nor comfortable for our child.
This is not a minor inconvenience — it is a serious safety failure. Providing incorrect child safety equipment demonstrates a complete lack of responsibility and professionalism, especially in an industry where infant safety should be non-negotiable.
We were informed that we would receive a refund for the baby seat, however no refund was ever issued and our follow-up messages were ignored. This lack of communication only further confirms their unprofessional conduct.
Based on this experience, we strongly advise families with infants or young children to avoid Zippy7. Their failure to ensure safety and to honor basic customer commitments makes them unreliable and untrustworthy.

Fatal no alquiles aquí si quieres tener una estancia sin problemas, pasan cargos no autorizados reciben el coche y luego te envían cobros por cualquier circunstancia en mi caso la gasolina pasaron una foto de las 16:00hr cuando fue entregado a las 13hr además retienen el dinero de la fianza en mi caso lleva un mes bloqueado y no tengo rsp exijo mi dinero.

I was unfairly charged €540 by Zippy7 for a minor scratch/stone chip located underneath the front bumper upon return. This practice is, frankly, unacceptable and feels predatory.
1. Unfair Inspection Process:
During the vehicle pickup, our inspection—like any standard, practical inspection—was focused on the visible exterior panels (doors, hood, roof, fender, etc.). It is physically impossible and unreasonable to expect a customer to squat down or lie on the ground to inspect and photograph the entire underside of the front bumper for pre-existing stone chips or scratches. The rental company is well aware that this area is not clearly visible during a standard handover inspection
2. Lack of Definitive Pre-Rental Proof:
When challenged, the company could NOT provide time-stamped, pre-rental photos that clearly show this specific area of the bottom front bumper was perfectly pristine before we drove the car off the lot. If they CANNOT prove the damage did not exist before we took possession, they should not levy this charge.
3. Normal Wear and Tear:
The scratch in question is minor and is the inevitable result of normal wear and tear from driving—whether from slight dips, road debris, or stone chips. Charging €540 for such negligible damage is grossly unreasonable and suggests a policy designed to recoup money from customers who opt out of expensive full coverage.
Recommendation to Future Renters:
If you insist on booking with them, I strongly advise you to purchase their full, zero-deductible insurance coverage. The minor saving you make by declining it will be completely wiped out by their highly aggressive charging for hard-to-prove, pre-existing, or normal wear-and-tear damages like this hidden bumper scratch.
Save yourself the stress and find a MORE reputable company with transparent and fair damage policies.
Zippy7 charged me €220 for dirt on the wheel

I returned a Toyota Corolla Cross to Zippy7 at the Vienna Prater branch. The attendant took the keys, said everything was fine, and told me my deposit would be released within a day. There was no inspection with me present and none was needed since the car was intact. A few hours after I left they emailed claiming “damage” to the left-front wheel.
Their own photos show what looks like surface grime on the rim, not real damage. See the attached photo. Yet they billed me €220 and refused to reconsider when I questioned it.
Take your business elsewhere.

Quien me iba a decir a mi después de alquilar coches en muchos países en mis viajes por todo el mundo, que mi peor experiencia con una compañía de alquiler de coche sería en un país europeo tan desarrollado y moderno como Austria. Todo gracias a Zippy7. Creo que todo empezó cuando decidimos contratar el seguro de cobertura total con el distribuidor, y no con Zippy7 directamente. El coche nos lo entregaron en sus oficinas de Vienna Centro, en un parking poco iluminado y con prisas. En este contexto no se nos ocurrió revisar uno a uno los daños del vehículo que figuraban en el contrato. Un error por nuestra parte, aunque nunca habíamos tenido problemas en este sentido. Durante los 12 días de nuestra ruta por Austria disfrutamos de este bello pais y el coche, tipo furgoneta de 9 plazas nos fue genial. La pesadilla empezó al entregar el coche en las oficinas de Zippy7 de Vienna Airport. Nos atendió el agente Attila Györe. Desde el primer momento se mostró muy antipático con nosotros, y pese a no haber tenido ningún percance con el coche, "encontró" dos picadas minúsculas en la carrocería y una rascada en el guardabarros. Nos trato con ironía y superioridad cuando le decíamos que eso no era nada (realmente eran una picadas ridículas) y que con toda probabilidad ya estuvieran cuando se nos entregó porque nosotros estábamos seguros de no haberlas hecho. Nos decía con un cinismo insultante que si no teníamos videos o fotos del momento de la entrega, y no habíamos sido nosotros, que habría sido otro coche, diciéndonos que como teníamos seguro, que no pasaba nada. Insistió bastante en esto último. Lo más sorprendente de todo, es que el coste que nos pasaron unas horas más tarde de los pequeños daños "detectados" fue de 1.500 euros que justo era el importe de la fianza. Vergonzoso. Hay que decir que el seguro contratado a través del distribuidor sí que nos cubrió ese dinero, pero la experiencia del final viaje fue horrible, con muchos nervios por la situacion, indignación e impotencia. Y gracias a Zippy7 acabamos el viaje con muy mal sabor de boca, pese a haber disfrutado mucho de las bonitas ciudades, paisajes y gastronomía austríacos. Me pregunto si al siguiente cliente le harán lo mismo, y volverán a cobrarle por los mismas picadas... Por favor, huid de Zippy7, son unos piratas.
ZIPPY7 AUTORENT - UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES DESPITE FULL INSURANCE
I rented a car from Zippy7 (Aug 24–26, 2025, Booking no. 25-003-2546).
Aug 24: Contract signed, Premium Insurance+ (Excess = 0 EUR). Deposit €300.
Aug 26: Car and key returned on time into key box (see attached return video capture).
Aug 27: Zippy7 charged €700 in addition to the €300 deposit = total €1,000 for “Broken Keyfob.” Invoice attached.
The damage record shows “Missing key – €1,000” but my signature is missing.
Zippy7 emailed me claiming keys are not covered and sent photos of the key (attached).
I filed a chargeback with my bank and a complaint with the Korean Consumer Agency. Until now, no official explanation or refund.
⚠️ Travelers should be cautious: unexpected charges may occur even with full insurance and proper return.

Had a great experience with Zippy7 in Vienna! The team was super helpful and the communication, both before and after renting the car, was excellent. One of the few times we actually got the exact car that was offered (unlike other companies that always say “or similar”). The office was clean and welcoming, and their team even picked us up and dropped us off at Vienna airport which made everything so easy. Overall, spot on service – very professional yet friendly. Highly recommend!

Drei Tage später erhielt ich eine E-Mail, dass während meiner Mietzeit ein Schaden entstanden sein soll.
Das ist nicht korrekt – der angebliche Schaden war bereits im Schadensprotokoll bei Übergabe unter Nr. 4 dokumentiert (rechte hintere Tür). Zusätzlich habe ich Beweisfotos vorgelegt. Trotzdem weigert sich die Vermietung, meine Kaution von 1.500 € zurückzuzahlen.
Bei meiner Recherche habe ich festgestellt, dass es zahlreiche weitere Kunden mit denselben Problemen gibt. Es wirkt wie ein systematisches Vorgehen, Kautionen unrechtmäßig einzubehalten.
Mein Fazit: Sehr unseriöses Verhalten. Ich musste bereits meinen Rechtsanwalt einschalten. Wer hier mietet, sollte sich auf Ärger einstellen.

Very positive. I'd definitely recommend Zippy7 at am Tabor in Vienna.
I usually don't bother adding reviews, but as I've been renting cars for years and have gone through multiple different car rental companies and could share different stories (good and bad), but that one with Zippy7 was one of the best I dealt with.
Very helpful and friendly staff! Process was quick and easy.
There was no problem at all returning the car late at night after working hours.
I forgot to order a child booster seat in the office, and I got one for free when collecting the car at car park.
I also got a little car upgrade.
They would give you additional and useful tips of what to do (take picture of the car, check a few things) and what rules to follow. Some of them might be obvious, but just in case you forgot about something, they are there for you.
All this is all to avoid unpleasant situations after returning the car.
You hear them out, read your contract, stick to the rules, and you'll be happy renting with them after all.

Wir haben uns bereits mehrere Male ein Auto geliehen.
Die Mitarbeiter waren immer freundlich/ sprechen englisch und auch deutsch und sind sehr hilfsbereit.
Die Fahrzeuge sind sauber, auch bei einer Verlängerung war alles unkompliziert.
Die Preise sind gut und transparent.
Auf jeden Fall werde ich wieder bei Zippy7 mieten.

They charge me a fee of 120 euros for barely dirty car seat which in general takes 5 minutes to clean. The car deposit is insane amount unless you buy and expensive insurance.

I gave it one star because I can't give it a zero. They gave us incorrect information about the car, so we had a problem with it and it took them 4-5 hours to send help. Horrible customer service.

Avoid Zippy7 — Unprofessional and abusive.
They charged me €120 for a few crumbs, then blacklisted me without warning just because I complained. When I arrived with my family for a prepaid booking, they refused to give me the car — no call, no email, nothing.
Arrogant staff, zero accountability. Never again.
Terrible service
Terrible service - DO NOT USE ZIPPY7.
They’re very helpful when you’re taking the car but become super unresponsive when you want to return the car and you need to check with their team several times before you can return if they’re available. They also sent me a 640€ bill for a damaged side mirror but refuse to send an itemized receipt from the vehicle repairer which makes it seem like a fraudulent charge to earn money. Their standard statement will be that this aligns with their terms and conditions.

I was charged for damage repairs without receiving any proof that the damage was actually repaired, or that the repair was specifically for the damage I caused and not for any pre-existing damage.
Their refusal to provide documents proving the actual repair of the damage only strengthens my claim that the damage was not repaired.
