Brittany have got it so wrong
We have recently bought a property in Spain so use Brittany frequently on the Portsmouth / Plymouth/ Santander / Bilbao routes. I wasn't compelled to write a review until recently travelling on the P&O route to Rotterdam from Hull. The difference is night and day. Not sure where Brittany is going wrong. Possibly the French crew don't help. As far as the culinary experience is concerned I guess the French think they have an upper hand over the Roast Beefs English. No banter and a look down their nose is enough to set you off on the wrong foot as you arrive at either their woeful self service cafe or their zero choice menu in the restaurant. Either choice is pitiful. I guess , at least, we have to be joyful over the brimming coolbox in our cabin - it saves the day ( or the two night / two day trip depending on which way you are going)'. Parallel that against the Philippono staffed Pride of Hull and the upbeat banterful staff and their new incredible menu. In the last month since they had a shake down, their menu in both the buffet kitchen and the restaurant is so much better and absolutely knocks the French into a cocked hat. Seriously Brittany, you really need to up your game. (Don't get me started on the entertainment, or lack of, on the 36 hour trip)!
