Five stars for the shoes alone! The selection is amazing, and styles that go out of stock often come back in stock soon--you can ask for a notification for your size. I own 6 pair of Carel shoes and boots now because they fit me very well and have always been comfortable for me right out of the box.

I've had two experiences with customer service. Once was due to my order not having shipped in over two weeks. I believe what happened was the shoes were out of stock and my payment was refunded immediately, but the customer service agent didn't tell me anything. I just had a refund and my order cancelled with no further reply or explanation, which was not the best, but I had my refund. My second experience with customer service was much better. I was sent shoes in the wrong size and needed to return. It is a bit of an old-fashioned way to return in that you need to fill out the return form, print the return label, arrange for collection or do a drop off with DHL...but what I really liked was that I could do a straightforward exchange for the correct size rather than having to do a return, wait for refund, and then repurchase the shoe in the correct size. You can't do that by mail with most places anymore, so it was a pleasant surprise and it all worked out fine. The customer service agent I emailed with this time was very polite and helpful-totally different from the last one.
