Can’t cancel to facilitate insurance claim

All I needed to do was cancel our flight - fully aware that we would not get any refund. NO CAN DO.

So when they recommend that you have travel insurance to cover any cancellations they can’t even provide a cancellation to allow you to claim. You have to wait until you have been a “no show” at the airport and the you can through their lengthy online system to get a confirmation.

We couldn’t rebook as it was a cancellation (of a golfing break) for a major operation, which meant that one of us wouldn’t be able to play golf for at least 6 months if ever.

Luckily we could afford to take the hit of not getting our money back for months but this is a word of caution for anyone, especially families, who can’t afford to take that hit for a significant period and are booking ahead - THINK VERY CAREFULLY.

Terrible systems, no time slots, no contacts,

This delivery company is an international business and yet have terrible procedures, poor systems, awful communications. Painfully inadequate tracking.

1. They require a signature (fine) but don't call on a neighbour and just simply leave a card - which you obviously can't access if you are away from home.
2. They don't give any time slots , just "it will be delivered sometime before the end of the day" resulting in having to wait in all day (if like us you weren't an early delivery)

No customer service. Out of pocket

I ordered four items from Druids.

I received a package with three items - someone had manually put a piece of adhesive paper on the package and scribbled that the other item was out of stock. I received no emails or refunds.

When you email them it is a BOT and finding the wording that the bot understands is difficult. Next the bot says someone will contact you, which obviously they don’t.

I still have no idea whether I will receive the item, receive a refund or be out of pocket (I will take them to small claims court first!)

Poor customer service

This company were our contracted provider of an Exoticca tour of Turkey.
Their guide was poor at controlling the travellers meaning a minority were always late, sometimes significantly reducing the timings of our genuine site visits. They spent a disproportionate time taking us to commission-earning expensive jewellery shops, expensive leather shops and “candy stores”. Their “optional tours” were massively over-priced - our co-travellers had the same jeep safari tour privately for a third of the price. To show equanimity I would say the coach was comfortable and tgr driver was good. I tried to contact them to express this, but like Exoticca - they don’t respond.

Worst airlines we’ve ever flown with

Worst airlines we’ve ever flown with.

This time, our second time (we had no choice, it was part of a tour!), they were no better. The quality of everything from uncomfortable seats to staff uniforms is bad.

On the outbound journey the “food cart” reached me within three rows ie a max of 18 people and had already run out of sandwiches, wraps etc so I had nothing to eat.

Three Eastern European girls in front of me were talking on mobile phones and “facetiming” their families before we even landed and were out of their seats and clearing their lockers, whilst we taxied 15 mins to our bay.

On the return journey, message tones were going off throughout takeoff and landing and the bloke next to me had his phone on throughout the flight (ie not on aircraft mode).

My advice is to avoid using them unless you absolutely have no choice.

Usual terrible loading procedures

As usual the loading if vehicles is a fiasco. We arrived 2hrs before departure (4pm). They started loading our row at just before 3pm (seemed good). Loaded half a row then we sat there for 40mins before moving to the next holding section. They then randomly allowed all latecomers (even after the “last check-in time!) to hold everything up and go straight through. Because their use of their own row numbers and their queuing system was non-existant they then started picking vehicles out of rows and getting everyone to move back & fwd to let them out into the one row they were putting on board. From 2pm until gone the departure time (post 4pm) we waited and then were put in the lowest bays and told not to rush in the morning because we’d be last off.
Some media responder will try to say “there is a procedure” and that they plan it carefully based on size etc but I used to travel with them so much I was in their Travel Club and have travelled in cars, vans and a motorhome and can assure you i’ve watched this process carefully dozens of times and they haven’t a clue.
If i’m only going to France now I drive a bit further either end to use the Eurotunnel which is efficient and organised and still works out cheaper and as quick. Sadly to Spain there is no real choice.

No logic, order or rhyme or reason

As usual, despite arriving hours early in our motorhome, we were last (this time actually THE last) to be loaded on the ferry.

We have travelled many times with Brittany Ferries and I have frequently wasted my time with their internal feedback questionnaire (my feedback is - read the feedback!).

There is absolutely no logic or order used in the loading process. We saw vehicles identical to ours that had arrived a lot later being loaded, larger ones, smaller ones etc. We had time (obviously) to analyse each row and each vehicle loaded.

Useless. If they didn’t have a 100% monopoly we’d have stopped using them over a decade ago.

Thank you for your review.

I am sorry that you feel as though there is no reason behind the loading process. The loading officers are given very specific instructions by the Second Captain that they have to follow; the requests may sound like "100 cars, please" or "5 motorhomes", and while it might make little to no sense to you, there will be a reason for the requests. The process varies hugely depending on both the sailing and the chief loading officer on the day.

Again, I am sorry that this might have caused frustration or inconvenience in the past.

Appalling service to SENDER

Appalling (actually zero) service to SENDER. Reported my parcel as not delivered due to the damage they inflicted but there are no options for the sender to contact them - every avenue, chatbot or recorded telephone says “contact the seller” when I am the seller! Useless
Then they replied as below - phoned the number but just automated again, no option to speak or leave a message. Completely uselesd

Excellent from start to finish (Edinburgh Airport)

Booked online for 3 day rental for a collection at Edinburgh Airport. Pick up was super quick and friendly. Collection was smooth and friendly. Didn't have what we had booked but offered a better car. The car was a lovely drive and being hybrid was fuel efficient. We were held up at terrible traffic controls on the return but they carried out the paperwork super quick and got us back to departures pronto. An excellent process throughout.

Possibly the worst streaming/catch up APP in the world

I cannot believe that with all of their money this is the best ITV can come up with.

This is the worst streaming/catch up tv available. It takes an absolute age to even load. It stops part way through, it stops in the ad breaks, it switches to silent after an ad break. After any of these eventualities, which can happen four times an hour, it then takes absolutely ages to get all of the way out of the app and you might have to do that three or four times before you actually re-start your programme.

It is a complete disgrace and inexcusable. If you can avoid it - DO SO.

Having bought multiple products snd then spent days transferring over 700 full CDs onto a portable device Sonos unilaterally removed the “on this device” choice of where to play music from. Now you need apps to play anything. Complete fraudsters. Dont buy their equipment

I’d drive to Eurotunnel rather than use Brittany Ferries

I have traveled many times with Brittany ferries and their systems and procedures are always atrocious.

Firstly they have an inept web booking system that should be much easier to navigate.

Secondly their boarding procedures are so haphazard and down to individuals that every time we arrive (early, late, somewhere between) we end up almost last on and thus last off). They allege it’s down to vehicle size but just looking at the lines of queues you can clearly see this is not true. Our mid sized car is always in a queue with large cars and small cars.

Thirdly (and several times) they cancel at the last minute and offer “another departure port” claiming it is due to travel conditions when it is clear that it is due to low traveler numbers. When it’s busy they sail in all conditions. I’ve travelled from Plymouth to Roscoff in a force 9 Gail!!

Regarding our boarding procedures, please note the loading of a RO-RO ship is complex process and it is strictly coordinated by the loading Officer. Safety is always our main concern and one of the important aspects of loading a ship is correct weight distribution.

Nevertheless, we aim to be honest and clear about the reason of any cancellations or disruptions, and we would never lie to our Customers. Cancelling a sailing is a decision we do not take lightly, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused if you experienced this in the past.

Don’t buy from them. Poor product, appalling service

Appalling web site and service and poor product m. There actually is no way to contact them about problems - you get sent to a “bot” who can’t deal with anything (as it is just a pre-programmed robot!). Try to log into account and it then says “sending a link” you click the link and log in again and it says “sending a link” etc etc etc ad infinitum.

We bought a whole en suite shower, basin, cabinet and toilet set which was not cheap. The fixings for the toilet were however so cheap and nasty that our builder had to buy a whole new kit at £40 to try to fit it without any leaks!!

The actual pottery bit of the cistern was not particularly well made either adding further problems to the fitting procedure.

I would never deal with this company again and recommend against it for anyone else.
