Appalling management and zero safeguarding

I am deeply disgusted and traumatized by the way my family and I were treated at 360 Play Basildon.

During our visit, a woman verbally abused and attempted to physically attack my autistic son. I immediately sought help from the staff, hoping for assistance and a safe environment for my children. Instead, Manager Callie Cook handled the situation with utter incompetence and a complete lack of empathy.

Rather than reviewing the situation fairly or protecting a vulnerable child who had just been targeted, Callie Cook sided entirely with the aggressor. To add insult to injury, she then asked me and my children to leave the premises.

I have reached out to both the local team and 360 Play Head Office following this incident, but I have received absolutely no response. The lack of accountability, customer care, and basic duty of care for children’s safety is alarming.

This serious incident has now been formally reported to the police. I would strongly advise parents—especially those with neurodivergent or vulnerable children—to avoid this venue. They do not prioritize child safety, and their management team is entirely unfit to handle sensitive or critical situations.

Bullied out the centre for being autistic

Been a customer for 7 years however since a change in 'general manager' (my review kept being removed when I mentioned her name), myself and my daughter have been bullied out of the centre throughout 2025 and early 2026.

I was attacked by another parent at the centre and the incompetent manager completely sided with the ignorant woman who behaved appallingly in front of me and my kids, and created a big scene over a situation she completely fabricated.

However, I, the 'weird', 'reserved', 'autistic' woman recieved a ban the following day with no explanation, followed by a malicious accusation being made about me 'assaulting' my daughter to the police. This was the manager's icing on the cake behind her months long campaign of bullying towards us.

Following a police investigation, the police accepted that myself and my daughter were merely playing a game of tag. That was it. Just a game of tag. And the police also decided that no assault took place between myself and the awful woman.

Yet, myself - the pregnant, autistic lady with the autistic daughter: have been banished from the centre after enjoying 7 years of fun (no other incidents ever) whilst the other woman who started this entire commotion faced no repercussions.

My daughter has been called a theif by the manager on numerous occasions when she cannot comprehend what that means. She kept repeating the word 'theif' to taunt me and get a reaction from me. The manager has criticised my daughter for not following instructions despite being non verbal. I have been shouted at by the manager who would approach me standing up with other staff members beside her as witnesses as part of her bullying campaign against us. All the while I have remained sat at a table drinking coffee which never warranted such an aggressive approach. She continuously tried to provide a reaction out of me which she didn't get because I tried my best to regulate.

Her name I cannot mention because my review kept being taken down. The incompetent manager lacked basic communication skills, lacked understanding about disabilities and was vindictive if you did not conform to her regimented expectations. She didn't know how to greet customers, smile or display humancentric qualities.

This is ignorance, bullying and blatant disability discrimination.

If you do not fit in, you're not welcome at 360 so beware if you or your child is nurealdivergant.

Head office couldn't care less. They refunded me membership money in the hope we would just disapear into thin air. They totally ignored my allegations of bullying by the manager towards myself and my disbaled daughter. I'm autistic but they described my melt down as me being agressive and a risk. I have never been banned from anywhere. I have never been in trouble with the police. The family tried tirelessly to come to a resolution with the head office so we could safely return to the centre and enjoy its facilties like we have done for years, but head office shut us down everytime - what a horrible organisation. They have no customer loyalty. They do not deserve to have such a prime location at Rushden Lakes.

360 Play would recommend but need improvement for the services.

360 Play has always stood out for its fantastic locations and environments. The facilities are well-designed, clean, and spacious, and one of the best things is that it never feels overcrowded, something that makes visits far more relaxed compared to other play centres. We’ve been coming here regularly for the last three years, and initially, it was easily one of our favourite places to take the kids.

However, over this time, I’ve noticed prices skyrocketing year after year. While price increases are understandable, what makes this really frustrating is that the quality of service has gone in the completely opposite direction, it has become noticeably slower and less efficient. A perfect example is the electric car track. In the past, the cars ran perfectly, and the flow was great. Now, it feels like even the staff are taking far too long to manage the area. Kids wait excitedly to drive, but the cars might run for only 20 minutes, followed by incredibly long breaks where nothing happens. To charge these kinds of prices while leaving children waiting around for long periods is honestly appalling. It simply isn’t worth the money anymore when you compare what you pay to what you actually get.

I still love the venue itself and want it to succeed, but it is very disappointing to see prices rise while standards slip. I would really love to see management focus on improving service speed and reliability, especially with attractions like the cars to match what customers are now being asked to pay.

Disgusted by the price and overall…

Disgusted by the price and overall experience £29.00 for 2 adults and a 1 year old to play! 3 packs of regular sized Chrisps 2 mars bars a pack of buttons and a latte £13 odd pounds! The place is dated dirty and disgusting, staff all have faces like slapped ars*s. More angry about the price we have paid for a few hours out as a family!

We went to Rushden lakes 360. What an amazing place. Very clean and tidy for the amount of children playing. Very well staffed. Very polite and welcoming. If you meet Sophie she is a star she brought us our food with a smile and a chat even though she was running miles this day. Sophie you made us feel a valued customer thank you
