For 3+ weeks no Call/Text service
For 3+ weeks, cell phone calls and texts have not worked, essentially paying for Nothing. I have sent numerous Support emails, tried to get someone on chat - nada, no one to call either. I am done with the many hassles, disruptions and poor support for ~ 3+ yrs now.
IT'S OFFICIAL - 4Freedom is Discontinuing Service
This is an update to my review posted yesterday.
I finally received an email from 4FreedomMobile customer service which stated the following (copied and pasted from email):

We’ve encountered a critical system failure and, after an internal review, we will be discontinuing operations for now. While service is no longer available, we are committed to supporting customers during the transition. If you'd like to port out or cancel, we’re available to assist. We deeply appreciate your support and apologize for the inconvenience.

Failing service provider! Stay away!!
I had their service for about 3 years. Their claim of protecting your private data is the best thing they offer. Their service over the last 6 months has declined horribly to the point where I couldn't make any calls outside of my home because obviously it was only connecting using wiFi. 3 weeks ago (about May 15, 2025) the service completely stopped. I can't make calls, I can't text, I can't receive any calls. I sent numerous messages to support via their web page and go no response. This is unusual for them. In the past they would at least respond to my email in about 24 hours. But now it has been zilch, zero response. So about 10 days ago I switched service to Tello and have been trying to get my number ported out from 4Freedom. Again no response from support. They also are taking the money I had in the "wallet" function they provided and applying it to my subscription which today I would not be paying if it were my choice. That's only $90 though but still.
So I do not recommend this failing company.
Changing Carriers Again
We changed to this carrier in January 2025 and had trouble initially that the account wasn't set up correctly and could make or receive calls or texts, including 911. It took almost a month for them to fix it and would not refund us for any part of that month.
We are now 4 months into the service and have had our service disrupted for 7 of the last 14 days. The 1st time it took Customer Support 4 days to get back to us and fix the problem. This time we reported it this last Thursday and still no one has responded to us. The "Live Chat" is unmanned and you cannot engage with anyone live - only by email when they get around to it. I don't even know if the company is still in business.

I have had 4freedom for about 3-4 years now and I live in Chile, I would say at first there was a few glitches and then it got better and was working fine for a few years so I got another sim for my wife and canceled our Chilean account. Now all of a sudden I didn't have any service and I reached out to there customer service and now its been about 4 days and I still have not heard from them. Another thing I just looked at my account and they just charged me another $25 for something and that something I have know idea what it is and again no one is getting back to me to let me know. I am just going to do a charge back and not use this company anymore. Was great while it worked.

Ever since we started with 4freedom we noticed glitches with their service. We purchased their own phones to make sure we would have no issues. We live in a rural county. When we go to some towns in our county we lose service altogether. They promise that their service works on all of the three big names, but the service never switches to another carrier when we are in the smaller towns. I understand that their service is voip and requires a data connection when traveling, but when the data service they give you will not even work then there is an issue. To make matters worse, we can't even get the data to work when go to our nearest big city. Hubby and I are tired of all of the issues and are going to another carrier that offers privacy but they actually guarantee coverage.
It just gets worse
Porting took weeks to do, then it worked well for a while. Then, they took away the VPN. Next, they changed the voicemail system and I can no longer access voice mails. Now, each call, either outgoing or incoming, has a delay of few
seconds.
As soon as my three years are up, I'm gone. The other companies spy on customers, but their services work.

If you need help with your account in any shape or form they will listen and do their best to keep you happy no matter what!! :-) If you are looking for a FULL PRIVACY concience company...then look no further! Never Again
I think that if someone pays $138.25 to a mobile phone service provider over a period of two months and is never able to place or receive a single phone call or text message via a mobile network during the duration of their subscription they probably should be refunded without ever having to make a request. I would have been quiet, until I got an email stating that my service was canceled for failure to make a payment (while technically, I'm paid to August). Molly said it was a mistake and to disregard the email. The damage is done and now I am on a mission to warn others. There is a way to make my reviews go away and that is by doing the right thing because it's the right thing.

I have been with them for a while now. Unfortunetly their calls are not good and it's getting broken up more often and can't hear the people on the other side. I would not recommend their service to anyone. I thinking about going to their competitor Efani for better services.

No phone service; Poor support
eSIMs won't load in common phones. There is no voice support, and e-mail support does not give complete, well-reasoned answers. I have not been able to use my phones since 4Freedom ported them in, a process that took too long. And now they think they have earned my money, claiming they don't have to refund anything for service that never worked.
Responding to 4Freedom: Our phones *are* and were unlocked. I try to give support techs gentle responses with some wiggle room. I still say the responses that I got were polite but incomplete. It looked like they were under pressure to respond as quickly as possible to "close the ticket." And almost no one reads the entire "agreement" in detail. I took another's recommendation and trusted 4Freedom. It turns out 4Freedom is more interested in keeping my money in spite of utter inability to use their service. I consider this a very unfriendly company policy.
