We hebben jou al een paar keer proberen te bellen en heb ook een voicemail berichtje achtergelaten + email gestuurd, maar lijkt erop dat ik jou niet te pakken krijg...

Thank you for sharing your experience, how unfortunate to hear it hasn't been the best one and 8hours didn't improve your sleep yet?
I understand that might be frustrating!

On you points: we do indeed have a 90 day satisfaction guarantee applying to your first order as stated in our refund policy at https://www.8-hours.com/policies/refund-policy.

It is correct that, when benefiting from the subscription offer discount, your subscription renews on a monthly basis, we however always point this out 3x during the checkout process and send an email both 3 days and 24 hours before renewal to give you all opportunity to cancel/skip or adjust. We truely value transparency and its not in our interest to keep unsatisfied customers on board at all.

Regarding usage duration, we generally recommend around 3–4 weeks (21–30 days as stated in policy) to properly assess effects. There can be additional benefits over longer use, which is why the guarantee extends to 90 days — including on multi-month supply options. At the same time, limiting the guarantee to the first order allows us to offer this risk-free trial while keeping the business sustainable. I'm sure you understand that.

I do want to say that it’s never our intention to mislead, and it doesn’t feel great to hear that perception — but we take that feedback seriously.

You’re absolutely right: at the end of the day, it has to feel worth it for you personally. Sleep is incredibly individual, and while we aim to create something that works broadly (and without trade-offs like grogginess or dependency), there will always be people who respond better to different approaches.

On pricing, fair point. We’ve chosen to position 8hours at the higher end by focusing on ingredient quality, clinical dosing, and extensive testing, but that only makes sense if the results match the expectation on your side.

Respect that you explored alternatives and found something that works better for you. That’s ultimately what matters most.

If you’re ever open to it, we’d love to understand what did work better for you, feedback like that genuinely helps us improve the product over time.

Looking at the order timeline, the subscription renewed on March 9th and the cancellation was submitted on March 10th. At that point the order had already been processed and shipped, which is why a tracking email was still sent.

How unfortunate to hear it hasn't been the best one?
On the green tea extract > we specifically only use the l-theanine (supporting alpha brain waves and calm) and a decaffeinated extract.

We're a bit puzzled what could play a role in waking you up, but sleep is a rather complex and multi-factorial process.
We'd love to understand a bit more about your experience (how long/when you took it/general lifestyle habits etc.) - if you'd like you can always talk to one of our sleep coaches as well.

In the system, I can also see a full refund for the second order?
Unfortunately, when cancelling after an order has already been shipped out, it's impossible for us to get that back. We incur substantial costs every order we send out, I'm sure you understand!
