Poor customer service- avoid and take your custom elsewhere
Title: Misleading sizing, poor customer service, and inflexible return policy
Review:
I ordered an “age 14” item from A and J Designs, which they strangely classify as part of their adult sizing range. However, “age 14” should not realistically be considered an adult size, and the fit was completely unsuitable. There was no proper sizing chart or guidance provided to help ensure I ordered correctly.
When I tried to return the items, I was told they couldn’t be returned because it had been personalised — but the only “personalisation” was the standard school logo, which is the same for every student. That hardly counts as customisation in the way most customers would understand it. The item is brand new, unworn, and in perfect condition, yet they still refused to accept a return.
What’s more frustrating is that the item could easily be resold, but the company is simply unwilling to do so or show any flexibility. Their tone throughout was dismissive, and although they eventually - albeit, reluctantly, offered to exchange one of the items, it felt more like a formality than genuine customer care. By this time I had already sourced items from another uniform seller, Clive Mark in Walsall, and they fit much better.
For a business that claims to serve its local community, this experience felt unnecessarily rigid and unhelpful. I’m left with items I can’t use and no reasonable resolution. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere — and warning others to be cautious before ordering.
