Rather than take an expensive bus tour, we downloaded this self guided tour and had the flexibility to take things at our own pace and even add some stops in along the way. I would definitely recommend this tour and we hope to use this in other cities as well in the future!

The tour was perfect!! It was a 95 degree day and the audio was simply stated and allowed time to stop and review. We went at our pace which was nice! Would definitely use again

We purchased the self-guided Acadia National Park tour in Bar Harbor Maine. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Loads of interesting information! Absolutely no issues. We will definitely use this company for our next park tour.

We just completed the tour of Martha’s Vineyard. While the historical information was enjoyable, so many points of interest were missed. More towns and fun facts need to be added. It really was not worth the investment.

Enjoyed using the actiontour app for the Gettysburg battlefields driving tour. The app worked great and suited our needs for a self-guided tour. If we had had more time we would have added in the two walking tours. The Gettysburg museum actually provided a link on their website to the actiontour app.

We had previously used this app for the Freedom Trail walking tour in Boston.

We have recommended it to friends.

The commentary was great. The GPS worked fine and was accurate. The only problem was getting the sound to work. I had to dig into the troubleshooting to learn that I needed to turn off my Bluetooth connection to the car. Put that up front!

Excellent experience. We were able to go at our own pace and stop at selected sites along the tour route.

Our audio tour of Kings Canyon and the Sequoia National Forest was excellent. The audio tour not only covered the highlights of both parks but included the cultural, vegetation, and native animals of the area. I appreciated the sensitiveness of the narrative in regards to the history of the area. Be sure to download both tours as one originates at the south entrance of Sequoia Park and one originates at the Kings Canyon entrance.

We really enjoyed the self guided driving tour of Marthas Vineyard. Lots of great history and info and easy route to follow.

Got the tour for Joshua Tree after our trip included a dangerous heat wave (it was 111F/44C outside). This tour allowed us to both see things we would have missed and to know where to get out and brave the heat for the really interesting stuff. The only hiccup for us is that the map never loaded, so the instructions "follow the map to the next destination" were more of a guess (as there are really one two main roads, it wasn't much of a guess).

Bought the Arches tour on a whim and do not regret my decision. the app knows where I am at and tells me more about what I am looking at. I have been to Arches so many times but didn't even know most of the information within the app. I'd definitely recommend their tour!

While visiting Boston, We purchased the “Ultimate” Harvard Self-Guided Audio Tour. The experience was anything but ultimate.

The app was completely unusable. It seemed it could not figure out our location. Audio comments would begin for points we were not near. The blue location dot was never where we were. It would even move around while we were stopped.

This was not a problem with my phone, as both Apple and Google Maps could quickly pinpoint our location. After messing around for 30+ minutes, I gave up, closed the app, and toured Harvard using the pamphlet we picked up at the subway station.

I will never again buy a product from Action Tour Guide. It was a total waste of time and money.

Fantastic! We initially wanted to take a jeep tour but they were sold out. The app guided us through all the major attractions/viewing areas that also followed the map we received at the visitor center. It was perfect and provided history and facts for each area of the park! We will recommend this app!

We bought the GPS tour guide for Big Sur in San Fransisco. It was a bad experience for us. Total waste of money. It brought us in the middle of the Road and ended abruptly. No further instructions. We had to shuttle between two aps that did not synch well. What a waste of time.

We have used other apps that layout the points of interest over maps so we do not have to shuttle back and forth between maps and the guide.

Brilliant. 18 times less then the bus tour we got at Yosemite and easily just as informative. Hit every pull off in perfect timing even though we had ZERO cell service when we entered the park. Couldn’t give this enough stars.

Tour signup and execution were exceptionally well organized. A great pleasure. Almost like having a live guide -- but without asking questions. Each snippet was about a minute. I would have wanted a little more info between stops. But, I will certainly seek these out in the future.

We downloaded the Gettysburg, PA tour and loved it! The GPS feature was fantastic because we dance to a different drummer and the program always caught up and adjusted to the right spot on the tour.

The audio tour of driving on the Gettysburg Battle Field was really perfect. It knew exactly where were were without data on (important because I don't have much) and the information presented was not too overwhelming in length. It held the attention of my 11 year old daughter as well, which was important because she won't learn if she doesn't listen! I would recommend this tour ... we were first time visitors to the field.

It is a handy little app that allows you the comfort of going at your own pace a being with just your own group. It is comparatively much less expensive as well.

We recently took the 17 mile tour and really enjoyed the information and humor in the narration. The tour allowed for stops and even picked back up where we left off when I took a wrong turn and had to circle back to the route. Definitely worth downloading!
