I recently completed KIT’s 2 day Edge-ccelence course in Motherwell, focusing on transactional and transformational coaching. I can confidently say it has reshaped my approach to my lessons. The course offered a deep dive into the two distinct coaching styles.

What stood out most was how the course helped me recognise when each style is appropriate. Transactional coaching proved useful for building foundational skills and managing immediate challenges, while transformational coaching encouraged learners to take ownership of their journey, fostering confidence and resilience behind the wheel.

The course was rich in practical strategies, including how to ask powerful questions, create reflective learning moments, and adapt communication to suit individual learner needs. It also explored the psychological and emotional dimensions of learning to drive, which added depth to my understanding of how to support learners beyond technical instruction.

Overall, this course has equipped me with a more holistic toolkit. I now feel better prepared to guide my learners toward becoming thoughtful, self-aware drivers. It’s a must for any ADI looking to elevate their coaching practice and make a meaningful impact.

I can’t say enough good things about this workshop and Mick & Lee! They were brilliant – everything was easy to follow, fun to get involved with, and packed with tips I could actually use.

Their passion for the industry really shone through all day, and you could tell they genuinely want to help people become better coaches. They explained how to use the correct questioning techniques at the right time and also when not to use them.

It wasn’t just a tick-box exercise – it really helped me understand how to get better as a coach.

By the end of the day, they’d covered all 17 competencies and explained them nice and simply and showed the connections between many of them .

If you’re feeling nervous about Part 3 or SC or just need a bit of a boost or recap, I’d 100% recommend this workshop.
You’ll learn loads and have a good laugh along the way! Plus boost your confidents!!

Also, a nice atmosphere and with coffee and nibbles that helped with the long session of the workshop.

on 28th August I participated in a zoom online training session DIGGING DEEPER delivered by Mick Knowles not only was this training though provoking and very informative, it was also interactive and enjoyable.
I have now signed up for 3 further training events this time in person workshop all with help and advice from Mick. so if you are looking for a training agency that really knows their stuff. I would recommend KIT

It was really beneficial to me and I’ll definitely have a different approach and mind frame to structuring my lessons. Lee and Mick really know how to share their knowledge in a way that is easily understandable. I attended their one day workshop in Bristol with a follow up zoom call, and their 3 simple steps online workshop on my journey to become a ADI, and I’m pleased to say that I passed my part 3 first time! I can’t thank them both enough.

Enjoyable and Useful
It was a great course but a little long, I am sure it could have been around an hour shorter. It wasn't Lee and Mick's fault but it was extremely hot in the room perhaps invest in a fan that can travel. The facilities in general weren't great, low tables, too many of us really for the room size and only one loo for the girls present. Learnt and consolidated bits but let down by the facilities.

Fantastic 👌5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 very well delivered training both Mick and Lee are very knowledgeable and experienced tutors in this field. Their training I have never seen before anywhere.

I have had training from a few different sources now and have recently found KIT instructor training - the training offered here is leagues above the rest - I attended the CCL & SC in person workshop in Reading. It was such a rewarding day Mick and Lee have so much knowledge and deliver first class training in an easy to understand way. It just makes sense. It’s obvious they have worked very hard to create this course. They go above and beyond to help and it feels like you have a brilliant support network. I am buzzing to put what I have learnt into practice.

Attended the CCL and standards check workshop in Portsmouth today. What can i say Lee and Mick are just a wealth of knowledge who just seem to give me lightbulb moments whenever I am on one of their courses. Today was my first in person workshop after several online workshops and each time I have come away with even more knowledge and understanding than when I went in.
They both deliver it in such a way that is easy to understand and break down the why we should be looking at it that way.
