The car was collected and dropped off once the repair was complete. Excellent performance! The fix was speedy because the necessary parts were arranged before pickup. Outstanding service!

Do not use this company if you have red…

Do not use this company if you have red Mazda paint as they cannot repair this without it having the 'orange peel' effect. Went back twice and still awful (brought it back in the rain too to try and 'hide' the work). I appreciate it is a difficult paint to do but don't try to repair it (twice) if you can't fix it - now going through insurer's to try and sort this out after an independent review report supported our claims (that I had to pay for). Garage tried to say that the whole of the car paint was finished like that but it is very obvious it is not as it is a nearly new car with only 3000 miles on it. My insurer should not have used this company as they are not approved Mazda repairers.

I brought my Bentley down for a…

I brought my Bentley down for a quotation on the body work inc new Front wing and bonnet on the 9 th july .
One week later still no quote . I have contacted them 3 times and told them it has to be in quickly ovusley they don't want the work as the other Body shops replied within two days. At a cost of £15000 .
Poor response.

Great service during the collection, repair and return of my vehicle, but I've been unable to contact the garage for over 3 weeks - the email and phone number listed on the website do not work! I completed the contact us form, and had confirmation that it has been received, but still no response.

Newhaven Now the accident repair hub

Second time I’ve had to use this company to repair a different car, car came back looking as good as it was before the accident they also repaired in a week.
I’d recommend these guys as on both occasions the service and repairs have both been excellent.
Thank you for stepping in when my insurers choice let me down tbh I think I had a lucky escape.
If you need repairs choose this company they really are good.

Disappointed and Misled – Won’t Be Returning to AD Car CareI feel completely misled by AD Car…

I feel completely misled by AD Car Care. I was charged £190 for an oil and filter change, which I later found should have cost around £79. The owner claimed it was the same price as last year, but I later realised I never even received a full service then either, as I had thought. When I questioned the charge, the owner compared it to main dealer prices — which defeats the purpose of using a local garage. I won’t be going back.

Very unprofessional place still have a fault on my car after taking it to AD Williams the manger Michel said it would all be sorted out and would order the part. To now see the place has closed down and my car is still now fixed.

Absolutely terrible experience


Absolutely terrible experience. They didn’t blend the colour in and I now have different shades of grey everywhere. Overspray on parts and imperfections everywhere. They didn’t fit parts back properly and broke the clips of my door panel and didn’t replace them.

The accident happened 11 Nov 24 and my insurance referred me to them a few days later. My car was “ready” to pick up 07 Mar 2025.

They made me wait for over a month because they supposedly ordered the parts and they would only keep my car for a couple of days. They then kept my car for 2 months. Conveniently every time I chased them they were waiting for parts and it was Tesla’s fault.

You’d think the damage was huge but it was only a roundabout accident at less than 10 mile an hour. Bonnet, wing, 1 light and other bits and bobs on the front of the car and they charged my insurance almost £8k for that.

Very disappointed with my experience…

Very disappointed with my experience with Ad Williams. I was given misleading information and felt that I was not dealt with professionally. I expected honesty and expertise, but unfortunately, I received neither. I would not recommend their services based on my experience. I don’t believe that they are charging insurance prices and deliver worst service this type of company won’t last for long.

Dishonest Car Repair Company Risks Reputation by Falsely Claiming New Parts Were Fitted

AD Williams Crawley Limited, a member of the AD Williams Group, claims to be one of the most respected names in the car repair industry. However, their reputation is now in jeopardy after they were caught misleading a customer this week, directly contradicting their core values of Fairness, Integrity, Passion, and Authenticity.

The customer had chosen AD Williams after receiving a recommendation from Audi UK. During a recent visit to their Copthorne location, the customer received a quote for repairs and was initially impressed by the company’s reputation, noting that they were trusted to work on Sussex Police vehicles.

Simon Halford, the Body Shop Manager, assured the customer that AD Williams was an Audi-approved repair center, with all repairs subject to Audi’s inspection to ensure they met the manufacturer’s high standards.

The repairs involved fixing an Audi A1, which was only a few months old with just over 2,000 miles on the clock, following an accident in which the customer was rear-ended while stationary in traffic. The insurance company authorised repairs that included new front and rear bumpers, a new front grill, and a bonnet.

When the customer returned to collect the car, they noticed several issues with the repair. The bonnet was missing a plastic trim piece, and the front bumper, which was supposed to be replaced, still showed scratches from the accident and had been poorly repaired.

The customer challenged Simon Halford, who insisted that new parts had been fitted. When asked to see the old parts, he claimed they had been sent to scrap the previous day.

Upon further inspection, it became evident that the parts had not been replaced at all. Halford later admitted this to Audi UK, who launched an investigation after the customer reached out for assistance. Additionally, it was revealed that the car had never been inspected by an Audi representative, contrary to Halford’s earlier claim.

AD Williams has yet to provide an explanation for the misleading statements, but they have agreed to complete the repair as originally specified. The customer is still awaiting a response from AD Williams’ Managing Director, Stuart Bacchus.

Sussex Police have been invited to comment on the situation, and Trading Standards has been notified.

When choosing a repair company, it’s essential to verify their qualifications. Always request certificates of affiliation, and be sure to scrutinise any claims about OEM parts, warranties, and inspections by manufacturers.

Excellent Body Repair and Great Service

Really impressed with the work I had done at AD Williams which was for some minor damage to the tailgate of my car. Simon and his team were extremely helpful and courteous they also cleaned my car and it looked twice as good as it does when I take it to the car cleaners! Much appreciated Simon.

The body repair work was good/ Courtesy Car Not

The body repair work was good, and I'm really pleased with the results. However, the courtesy car provided was very basic, uncomfortable, and not enjoyable to drive. It would be great if the courtesy car options could be improved to match the quality of service on the repairs
