Do not buy from Afroscrub.

Product was great, but experience since is what is what is echoed in so many reviews. I bought two of the wash towels August 2025, I saw people warning they would take a subscription fee a month later so emailed to unsubscribe, Afroscrub confirmed the subscription had been cancelled.

Last week, Tuesday 10th February 2026, I had an attempted charge to my card from Afroscrub. Fortunately, I didn't have the money in my account so the transaction bounced. I contacted my bank and asked them to block further transactions from them as I had cancelled the subscription and included the email confirmation.

From here I replied to my unsubscribing confirmation, asking Afroscrub as to why they were now trying to take a charge. I received a response saying "it must have been from a recent purchase I had made, would I like to cancel the subscription.". I pushed back saying I hadn't bought anything since August 2025 and that they had confirmed the cancellation of the subscription then. I received the exact same email back as a reply, so clearly using AI responses rather than an actual human.

On the 11th February I emailed again, asking why they are still charging me despite now confirming cancellation in August and again the day before and that I wanted a full refund for the ridiculous service. On the 14th I had a response back confirming the subscription had been cancelled and I would have a full refund in 2-3 working days.

This is 6 days later, I have so far had 27 attempted subscription payments taken since the 10th, which includes 13 since the confirmation that everything was cancelled and I could expect a refund on the 14th.

This entire experience is ridiculous, I will edit to clarify if I get a refund, I doubt it some how, even if I do, that will not change anything from the 1 start rating. If I could give a negative score review for this experience I would.

My original order was May 2025, fast word to February 12, 2026 and they charged my bank card $29.99. I have gone back and forth with them with 3 different ticket numbers for the runaround for a refund of my money. They claimed I signed up for subscription, which I did NOT! I canceled my bank card and reported them for fraud.

Please beware. They continue to charge you 29.99 without you being aware. I did not sign up for the subscription, but somehow, they put me on there. Make matters worse is that with the subscription, product is not even sent out. So you are just paying 29.99 for nothing. SCAM!

HOW TO CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION:

I have had same problem as the other reviews! I think I have solved how to cancel the subscription - don’t bother emailing them; they tell you they’ve cancelled it and then just don’t.

On the website, there is also a bit that says “one click subscription cancellation!” Where it asks for your order number and membership info plus a short message requesting membership cancellation. THIS IS A LOAD OF RUBBISH DON’T BOTHER, it’s the exact same outcome as emailing them.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
Go back onto the afroscrub website, from the top left corner go onto your “profile”. You should see your name/email address, then your billing/shipping address info, and at the bottom “payment methods”. Click on the words “payment methods” and it should bring up your future payments (VIP subscription thing) - delete that and then delete the card you have on file for good measure! A pop up warns you that deleting this will affect future pre-authorised payments so sounds promising.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I purchased a buy one get one mid-2025 and have been charged 8 times since sneaky with a couple a month after my initial purchase and then multiple in a day. When I tried to email the company my email was undelivered/email full. Absolutely dreadful and I wish I did more research. Please don't buy from this company.

ABSOLUTE ILLEGAL SCAMMERS!!!! They have added some subscription without me knowing and have deducted 9 amounts out of my bank account without ever sending g product. Their customer service will not acknowledge the scam

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding payments that have been taken from my account over the past year without my authorization.

I did not set up any direct debit or subscription with your company, yet funds have been deducted from my account on a recurring basis. Most recently, £100 was taken without my knowledge or consent.

Furthermore, I understand that the subscription in question was supposed to provide email updates regarding your latest products. I have not received any such emails or services. As you have not fulfilled your side of the agreement, I am requesting a full refund of all subscription payments taken from my account, starting from the very first direct debit.

In addition, I require that all my personal details be removed from your organisation’s records in accordance with data protection regulations. Please confirm in writing that:

All unauthorized payments will be fully refunded.

Any direct debit or recurring payment has been cancelled with immediate effect.

My personal data has been permanently removed from your systems.

If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will escalate it to my bank and the relevant regulatory authorities without further notice.

Be careful , a subscription was set up without my consent. This week they took 4 payments from my account. Shame because the scrubs are nice …

This is a fraudulent company. They are charging my card repeatedly and there is no way to contact them. Also there are several names for the company. GETGLOWNETIC, Afro scrub and another one I can’t remember. Do not order from them!!!

I ordered from Afroscrub.com in May of last year and now today ,they have put me in for a subscription that I didn’t authorize and now today they hit my account for 29.99 six times. Do not trust this site

I ordered 4 items from them in May 2025, which went missing in the post. Even though they said they’d chase it, I never heard anymore. Then 9months later they start taking payments out of my account, when I contact them they say i set a subscription up on checkout -which I never did and seems a bit suspicious that I would set up a 9 month one, that they then take out 4 payments within days of each other from a card that no longer exists. It has now been passed to the fraud dept of my bank. I have contacted the company no offer of repayment just your subscription is now cancelled. Having seen other peoples reviews this is a scam and would not recommend this company or product to anyone. Buyer beware!

My original purchase with "Afroscrub" was in July 2025 for 2 of their scrubbies. Without my knowledge or consent, they tied a subscription to this purchase, illegally using my bank card. The monthly charges are $29.99 and I'm not sure for what. I never received more product or correspondence, so what was it that they were illegally charging me? Anyway, I had to get a new bank card in the fall for some reason. I never noticed that I was being charged for this subscription until today! It's now February and I'm checking...somehow they have charged me 2 charges that went through already and now there are 3 more pending charges of $29.99! I sent them an email demanding all of my money back for 9 unauthorized charges of $29.99. They sent me an email saying they canceled my membership for me and that was it. I responded back to them and got an automatic return of my email saying they don't exist.

If I could go lower I would. I ordered 2 scrubs in Feb 2025 - I received them. A few days later a £24 subscription was taken when I complained, I was refunded. Thought nothing more of it until 2 days ago when they took 3 payments of £24. I had to report it to my bank as fraud and cancel my card.

If I could give zero stars I would. Despite contacting these scammers last year they have again attempted to take money from my card. I am warning anyone please do not purchase from them.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SO CALLED COMPANY. They are scammers. I ordered in July 2025 and received my order. They have since taken £23 out on 4 seperate occasions as a subscription service I never subscribed to. In September 2025 they told me they had ‘cancelled’ this subscription but could not refund me per their ‘guidelines’. They then started taking money out again.
Yesterday they took out £23 and again today they took another £23.

Hopefully they get what’s coming to them.

Charged me 5 times in two days for a subscription that was cancelled over a year ago 43 each charge

This is a SCAM!!!! My credit card company flagged it as fraud because they tried to charge my card FIVE times in three days. DO NOT order from these people.

This company is continuing to me charge 29.99 for a subscription/membership I canceled in 2025. Do not order from this company. They are being investigated.

I've ordered fromthem received one sponge in July 2025 never subscribed and they have been taking money out of my account keep charging on my account sent them emails about the situation the emailed me back and told me I subscribed and I didn't subscribed they never sent me any product and still taking money out my account ask for refunds never replied back now all of a sudden I can't send anymore emails tonight they charged on my account four times tonight I will be reporting them .

If I could give a negative number I would. The product is an absolute sham and the website is purely bullshit. I have $48 taken out of my account weekly for every 6 months
