Glad we didn’t build it ourselves
My partner and I have been thinking of building a PC for a while. So after some good ol’ googling, we found aftershock and with the end of financial year, I started building a Tax Rapid one. And we got everything we wanted and it didn’t cost us an arm and a leg with everything we wanted. We’ve got it all set up now and my partner is super happy with it (was his early bday prezzie). I’ll always recommend Aftershock and we might embezzle it at some stage but super chuffed with the perfomance
My experience with aftershock
Ongoing issue: I have had many issues right out of the box, one of my ram sticks is broken and I can't get a visual on my monitor after trying countless times.
Update: I have since worked with the team to organise a brand new PC with fully optimised specs, sorting that out was so much easier than I thought and it really lifted a stress off my shoulders, customer support was great, Matt made things simple so I understood what needed to be done and kept me updated, overall rocky start (likely shipping company fault) but in the end it worked out better than I could have hoped. Highly recommended

A Rollercoaster of Dissapointment
My PC from Aftershock arrived, and I could tell straight away something was off. It was laggy, slow, and just didn’t feel right. I spent 4 hours troubleshooting, then emailed Aftershock to say I needed to lodge a warranty claim, as I had tested all obvious issues. While waiting for a reply, I spent another 2 hours getting help from a Discord server, but still no fix.
Aftershock finally responded — but it felt like a copy-paste reply asking me if I’d done the basic tests (which I had clearly listed already). Then they replied again, saying yes, it's a warranty issue, but gave me no instructions on how to proceed. Every reply took a full day, so I lost 3 days just getting basic communication.
At this point, I was frustrated and sent an email expressing my concerns.
Then came the one highlight of this whole experience — Bryce, the Head of Tech Support, stepped in. He called me directly, stayed after hours, remote-accessed my PC, and tried everything he could for 2–3 hours. When he confirmed it needed to go back, he sent detailed return instructions and organised compensation. He genuinely cared and took ownership — I can’t thank him enough.
Unfortunately, once Bryce disappeared, everything fell apart again.
On 17/07/25, I was emailed after the PC was picked up and in transit, and told that the GPU anti-sag bracket wasn’t installed due to incompatibility. I was just issued a $20 refund — no options, no communication beforehand. If they had reached out earlier, I could have suggested alternatives and flagged that I no longer had access to the original payment method.
I sent a frustrated email, and to their credit, they did call the next day. We worked it out — they’d send me a different bracket and I’d handle the refund logistics. But again, this whole issue could’ve been avoided with better communication.
Now that I’ve had the PC for two days, I can finally say it works and I’m happy with the product. But the support experience was diabolical.
Over 30 emails were exchanged to sort this out. There was no follow-up once the PC arrived to ask if everything was working — something I’d expect as a business owner myself. These little things show care. Sadly, it felt most staff didn’t know how to handle the situation properly.
Unless you deal with Bryce, the service feels reactive and poorly managed.
It took a total of 27 days from order or arrival; this could've easily been much less if it had been handled properly.
If I could go back knowing what I know now, I’d buy elsewhere.

Where do I even begin? I ordered a PC from Aftershock, and unfortunately, it arrived damaged. But my review today isn’t about the fact that it arrived smashed — it’s about how incredibly well Aftershock handled the replacement process.
From speaking with John, Matt, Amar, and the rest of the Aftershock team in Melbourne, I can confidently say they truly know how to look after their customers, even when dealing with major issues and under pressure.
I’m so grateful for their consistent efforts to get me a new PC. While it did take a bit of time to get the ball rolling, I completely understand given how busy they are.
Thank you, Aftershock — you guys are the absolute best!
PC Support/Repair
After around 2 years, I had an issue with my PC (Corrupted Windows and a faulty Motherboard), despite initially struggling to communicate with the support team, once the PC was finally returned to their HQ, it only took around a week to diagnose the issue, resolve it, and send it back to me. A special thanks to Hai Nguyen and Danny Nguyen who sped up the process and helped me sort it out.
PC never arrived
PC never arrived. Aftershock were helpless with finding out where it was and stated that it’s covered under warranty if anything happens to it. Ordered early March. PC took 21 days to build. Was supposedly handed over to Mills Freight Group to be shipped on the 10th of April. Here we are almost a month later. No updates since the 10th of April. Again, AfterShock not helpful at all.

Good company communication!
Had a bit of a snafu with delivery due to a new courier company but aftershock and the courier helped me work through a change of delivery with no stress and it arrived in a reasonable time!
The keyboard is amazing. Responsive and a great feel. Thank you so much.
Sets of cooler fans got dislodged…
Sets of cooler fans got dislodged probably from transit. I just pulled off case side and put it back into socket to hold in place. Otherwise everything was on time and came in a nice packaging

Everything unpacked well and setup was really easy.Started really fast and I surprisingly took to win 11 nicely probably because of the stress free setup and connection.
I would also like to say the phone mannerism of two people we rang was really helpful in our decision making.

I came to Aftershock with a tight deadline for 2 PCs for a business. Not only did they deliver on time but they far exceeded expectations. They provided constant updates so I was kept in the loop throughout the whole process. We are one very happy customer and will be going back to Aftershock for all our high-end PC requirements.
AS PC website and staff were seamless…
AS PC website and staff were seamless to deal with. I purchased a pre-order PC that was assembled in about 7 business days, quicker than expected (15-20 business days). The only setback was delivery, coordinated with To My Door on Thursday (I had to take leave to be at home to receive it); however, it never arrived despite receiving a message that ETA is 20 minutes away at approx. 2:30pm. The courier company was apologetic on Friday morning when I phoned to resolve and they promptly organised delivery that day. AS PC done an excellent job assembling and packaging the PC, their instructions were very good and post-delivery it was a very good experience. I am going to buy my next gaming PC through AS PC and recommend them to other people considering dropping some coin on a new PC.
